137th Annual Exhibition

  • When It Rains It Pours mixed media on canvas 36 x 36 I used various fabrics, gel medium, and acrylic to create this work, laying out the material first with no particular direction in mind. As with many of my works, the connection to the landscape becomes evident and often serves as a metaphor for what is happening culturally and socially. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Town Asleep oil on canvas 20 x 24 This work originates from the artist’s lived experience in the New England region of the United States, shaped by a sustained perception of small-town environments. Rather than depicting a specific landscape, the painting transforms low-rise, densely arranged architectural structures, repetitive neighborhood order, and a slow, restrained rhythm of life into abstract visual forms. The upper structure presents a stable, almost motionless state, while the lower section retains traces of flow and accumulation, subtly implying the ongoing effects of time, humidity, and memory. The work seeks to capture a state that exists between stillness and latent movement—a small town not yet fully awake. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Beauty in the Worn mixed media with found objects, vintage linen, embroidery, used book cover, drawing and ink. 9 x 12 Beauty in the Worn was inspired by my love of aged materials and the stories they carry. I am drawn to objects that hold a history and a fragility that newer things cannot contain. I find beauty in the tender stories that live in that which has been carried - soften - and - imperfectly preserved. Worn edges, faded surfaces, and delicate textures become part of the narrative speaking to time, touch and memory. This work resonates more deeply with me as I grow older and experience the privilege of aging and the need to preserve my history. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Battle of Bunker Hill acrylic 70 x 64 This work commemorates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. I am deeply touched by the story of my ancestor, Ralph Hemenway, a man of 23, who died at the Battle of Bunker Hill fighting for freedom from tyranny. He left 3 young children behind but we will never forget his sacrifice. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Magic Forest oil on canvas 32 x 32 My grandparents had a small stand of trees at the end of their property. As children, it seemed to be a magical place full of imagination, dreams and beautiful soft light. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Stone Wall Universe 3 acrylic on canvas 24 x 24 This painting is a spiritual celebration of resiliency. Its abstract narrative references the tenacity of lichens, that bloom and thrive within the cracks of a dry stone wall in the Scottish fields. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Who's Zoomin' Who acrylic, conte, and paper on canvas 56 x 36 Who’s Zoomin’ Who, is an expression of self-awareness. Mirror images cut from designer wallpaper dance uninhibitedly on a background of roughly textured acrylic mediums. An allegory of self-reflection, the figures dissolve into each other creating a borderless blend of energy. The sea creature patterned wallpaper is used to express the ever-changing rhythm of life and random nature of one’s introspection. Subtle shading informs the mass and volume of the figures. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Red on Display watercolor on #300 Saunders Waterford cold press 18.5 x 22.5 I always find shoes like this to be like decorative sculpture! Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Sentinel 1 fiber art 18 x 14 This Sentinel is a reminder that you are forever in the hands of the Universe. It is here to support and protect you on your journey. I have felt this for a long time and know that when things don’t go as planned, there is a reason. Sentinels have been inside each of us since childhood. They are there to remind us that we are safe and forces are here to look out for us and our loved ones. Mostly, these sentinels are here to remind you that YOU ARE LOVED. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Recycling Plastic Is A Myth screen-printed on cloth 34 x 43 As far back as I can remember we’ve been told that if we throw all plastic into the blue recycling can, it goes off to become new plastic. Wrong! In actuality 80% of plastic goes into the landfill or is sold to brokers and shipped overseas; 12 % is incinerated emitting toxic fumes into poor neighborhoods who have neither time nor money to fight it and just 8% is actually recycled. What’s a consumer to do? REFUSE plastic. REUSE glass, wood, aluminum, bamboo. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Powerplay oil on canvas 12 x 12 In Powerplay, motherhood emerges not as a quiet sentiment, but as a force field—dynamic, generative, and passionately alive. Vertical marks rise and fall across the canvas like figures in motion, reaching out, protecting, supporting. Color becomes a language of this amazing emotional journey. Electric blues and violets hold space for contemplation, while bursts of orange, red, and lime pulse with urgency, joy, and the unpredictable intensity of primal love. The surface is thick with revision, each gesture layered over another, mirroring the way the journey of motherhood is continuously adapted through the experience of raising a child. Everything is moving, as we learn and grow in ways we could never have predicted. Ultimately, this work is a meditation on the profound transformation that motherhood offers. It honors the way maternal love reshapes the landscape of the self—layer by layer, mark by mark. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • And Effortlessly digital collage 8 x 8 This image is a duplicate, unpainted of a page of my artist book, "Lacrimae Rerum" (the tears of things). The title comes from the Aeneid and for me denotes the idea of the poignancy of the passing of time, that everything is in a constant of flux........ Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Runaway assemblage 5.25 x 2.5 x 7.5 In this painting, I used a calligraphic style of mark-making to explore the rhythm of a waterfall and its movement down a luxurious glen. The water ripples and splashes on its way to shoot forth in a glorious spray over the edge. Its vibrancy is echoed in the surrounding landscape. I used a tall, thin format to enhance the elegance of the waterfall, with rocks and ledges adding shape and structure to the water’s journey. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Over the Edge acrylic paint on hardboard (masonite) panel 53 x 17 In this painting, I used a calligraphic style of mark-making to explore the rhythm of a waterfall and its movement down a luxurious glen.
  • Mother Earth 2-2, 2026 acrylic and paper on canvas 24 x 24 My energy is focused on exploring the impact of climate change on our earth and sea. As an avid scuba diver, my fascination with coral reefs has flourished. Mixed media has become the language I use to capture both the beauty and debris of our underwater seas, glaciers and earth. Using a mix of paper, plastic, oil, acrylic, pastel, and ink, I capture the impacts of a drying world, from rising seas to bleaching coral reefs. My goal is to have my work move beyond awareness and beauty to connection and empowerment. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Pushing the Envelope mixed media 22.5 x 14.5 These scrolls speak autobiographically about my life and passions. I am inspired by the mystery, magic, and beauty of nature, and by world cultures and languages. Layered with patterns, symbols, metaphors, and archetypes, these pieces unite disparate worlds into new relationships—revealing the interconnectedness of nature, life, spirit, and time, all awaiting your insight and interpretation. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Six Chapters collage: cut and torn paper on black paper background 12 x 15 I like working in series, and I decided to divide this collage into six distinct parts that I also think form a coherent whole. The chapters are meant to evoke a story that involves a woman, but she and her story are mysterious and unclear. The visual ambiguity is largely due to the juxtaposition of many pieces of paper in a great variety of colors. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Over the Line acrylic on canvas 24 x 36 I have been preoccupied with the problems of Immigration and sat down to draw with some greasy water miscible crayons and began drawing without really thinking about subject matter. I liked the drawing enough that I wanted to work it in a painting. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Exposure printmaking: akua ink on arnheim paper 24 x 18 My work explores themes of perception, identity, and cultural norms. Since the pandemic, I have been incorporating masks, braille, hair, sandpaper, veils, hijabs and materials of everyday life in a series of monotypes entitled "Who Sees?" to explore how we hide or reveal ourselves. How do we perceive women or men when they are veiled or masked? Are they disempowered or empowered? Do the masks/veils offer freedom or protection or bondage? The images that I create are multilayered, pushing us to delve deeper into this subject. “Who Sees” simultaneously draws you in and pushes you away. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Gaia terra-cotta sculpture 18 x 12 x 12 Mother-Earth, the Primordial Goddess of Earth-Sea, the symbol of Divine feminine, Cosmic Female Principle called Ki by Sumerians, Yin by Chinese, Prithvi in Hindu Rigveda, Gaia in Ancient Greece, Terra in Rome - these and other alternative names present in all cultures compile a global collective consciousness. My sculpture is one of numerous contributions to the lore. The materials, the fabrication and the design are corresponding to the five elements: Earth - Solid figure made of stoneware and terra-cotta, rock crystal, glazed with minerals, Water - wavy forms and engraved lines in waterbased clay, surrounded by sea-weathered oyster shells, Fire - the russet shades of terra-cotta shell represents the process of clay firing in ceramic kiln, Air surrounds the visual lightness of the forms and the process of air-drying in ceramics, Ether - artistic inspiration, Crystal held high in unity with multiverses, a snake symbolizes Wisdom and cycles of Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Crater Dreams collage 22 x 18 In this work, I explore the collapse of linear time and the fragile space between memory and imagination, where past, present, and future exist simultaneously. The landscape unfolds as a shifting terrain, with figures suspended within fractured environments, caught between inner states and external forces. I am drawn to moments of instability, as the familiar begins to dissolve. The composition reflects how memory fragments and reassembles experience, creating spaces that feel both intimate and disorienting. The piece develops through a process of collecting and editing found imagery, which is printed, hand-cut, and assembled into layered physical compositions. Through fragmentation and reassembly, I construct environments that merge the real and the imagined, resulting in an archival Vibrachrome print on aluminum that preserves the tactile presence of the hand-cut composition. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Selfie terracotta ceramics sculpture 20 x 18 x 1 Selfie, my body part, natural size , made out of my favorite terracotta, which is close to human skin color Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • One If By Land acrylic on canvas 12 x 15 I'm an intuitive, abstract painter, guided by movement and color relationships in my work. As I work, brushstrokes or applications of paint evolve into layered, overlapping shapes that merge and dissolve into floating, amorphous forms. Each painting is an open field for experimentation. I am delighted as surprises emerge and discoveries unfold, bringing constant new beginnings during my process and in my practice. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Bone Oracle oil on canvas 18 x 14 In Bone Oracle, I created a synesthetic translation of music into form, allowing sound to guide each mark through my experience of synesthesia. I worked intuitively, building layered, bone-like shapes that interlock into a totemic figure—part mask, part spirit, part artifact. As I painted, I responded to rhythm and tone, using deep reds, earthen browns, and saturated blues to embody the emotional and physical vibrations I was hearing. I approached the canvas as an excavation, shaping forms that feel unearthed rather than designed, drawing from a primal visual language tied to ancient humanity and early cultural expression. Each mark became a kind of ritual gesture, encoding movement, memory, and sensation. Through this process, I explored the instinct to create symbols that give form to the unseen and connect us across time. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Central Park Stroll oil painting 20 x 17 This painting was inspired by a late afternoon walk through Central Park when the low sun transformed an ordinary path into something luminous and unforgettable. I was drawn to the long shadows, glowing trees, and the quiet rhythm of people moving through the light. Rather than describe every detail, I wanted to capture the feeling of that moment like the warmth, stillness, and sense of connection found in everyday life. Using expressive brushwork and layered color, I focused on atmosphere and the way light can shape both a place and our experience of it. My hope is that viewers are reminded of their own simple, beautiful moments outdoors when the world feels peaceful and full of possibility. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • As the wave turns oil on panel 15 x 18 This painting is a plein air painting. Moving water is a tricky thing to paint, but yet it is hypnotizing to observe. I did the work, so you can just relax and enjoy. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • What Lies Beneath oil painting 21 x 21 Born through an interest in the places beneath what is seen; that remain invisible to the human eye. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Portrait in Blue oil on arches oil paper 12 x 12 Self Portraiture keeps me honest and in touch with the artist within. I have pursued this subject matter throughout my painting career. This piece was painted on Arches oil paper, entirely with palette knives, allowing a freedom with each stroke. The vibrant colors reflect a distinctively personal mood equal to that freedom. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Orange Crush acrylic painting on stretched canvas 13 x 13 Orange Crush has a funky groove to it, seemingly one of a new adaptation of my surreal abstract style. The bright orange color and the figurative combination with cubistic elements makes it a refreshing visual. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Blue Wall oil on canvas 14 x 18 Over the past few years, I have been painting still lifes completely from life, of trash and detritus left behind in my studio. Blue Wall is among the few pieces that represent the culmination of this project. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • 8+ South of the Mid-Hudson Bridge hand-colored etching 11 x 14 The Rowing Prints are a series created to explore the sport of crew from the point of view of a rower and coach. They are drawn from mundane images of regular practice sessions usually at the crack of dawn on the Hudson River at Poughkeepsie. The etchings in this series are made on small plates etched into the copper of electronic circuit board blanks and hand colored with watercolors to achieve the atmosphere of the moment. I create images that are at once both realistic and nostalgic, aligned with the experience of rowers who ply the waters of the historic rowing venue today. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Salty Earth and Cold Tongues charcoal 30 x 42 Salty Earth and Cold Tongues, was inspired by the weight of a physical fall in my sixties and the emotional wounds felt when a person uses hurtful words. My body feels the impact and endurance of both pains. Salt evokes both wound and preservation, while adding crystallisation to the drawing. The stinging is felt from harsh words, while the body is trying to heal and move forward. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Quilt Top Study: Greater Together ink jet print 15.5 x 12.5 My quilt top studies are a part of a larger body of work which pays tribute to family quilt makers and stone masons. This work has evolved since the 1960's and has included conceptual systemic paints, prints and sculpture as well as more random more random explorations in assorted media. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Liberty for Peace pen and colored pencil on paper 18.5  18.5 Fantasy Mandala series. A contemporary mandala, playfully interpreting our current world situation. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Animated Forms (Variation VII): The Blues acrylic on gallery wrapped stretched canvas 13.5 x 13.5 The natural world and the life around us have always inspired me. They are the sparks that start the process. When painting with acrylics I work between the boundaries of abstraction and representation. Reducing the subjects to bold, simplified forms, I create lots of excitement, tension and lots of space on the canvases. Over time, the paintings in the Blues series have become increasingly abstract and find that wherever I look in nature there is order, and the center of that order is very geometric, very mathematical. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Morning Coffee glazed stoneware ceramics 10 x 4 x 4 There was a time in my life when my alarm would go off in the morning, I would jump out of bed and start running. I would run all day. This is not that time and I celebrate it here. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Dragon Fly stainless steel sculpture 23 x 10 x 9 My decision to design a boot stems from a fascination with the precision and technical mastery required by the form. Working with rigid, textured metal, I explored the intersection of the fragile and the resilient. My creative process focused on the tension between strength and weightlessness, leading me to adorn the boot with intricate, self-fabricated dragonflies and butterflies. Together, they symbolize transformation and freedom. This work reflects my passion for merging nature with technology, challenging the viewer to see a sculpture that exists at the boundary of fine art and question if it is a wearable design. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Portico At Sandscrest (Wheeling, WV) watermedia (fluid acrylic, watercolor, watercolor pencil) on strathmore illust board, archival-varnish, gallery wrap 20 x 20 This was primarily a plein-air piece, (90%) then touched-up in the studio, of the Sandscrest Mansion in Wheeling. It was done at a plein-air event on the location. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Majesty digital 25 x 20 By integrating divine world with the form of flowers, I create a unique blend of art and spirituality. My goal is to evoke a sense of wonder and inspiration in the viewer, inviting them to delve deeper into the biblical narratives. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Shades of Cool colored pencil 30 x 23 "Shades of Cool," is a portrait of my son, David: arms crossed, head held high, and sporting hip sunglasses to emanate a cool and confident vibe. Folded arms display authority, power, and a "badass" persona. Sunglasses symbolize mystery, coolness, protection, and status, acting as a barrier that hides emotions and creates privacy while projecting confidence, power, and a rebellious or cool mindset. My composition intertwines the realistic and fantastical worlds, with the powerful, daring, use of vibrant complimentary colors to offset his jaunty, optimistic attitude. This dynamic pairing of orange and blue captures vibrancy and balance, excitement and serenity, as well as energy alongside peace, to evoke many shades of cool. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • I see You monoprint 24 x 24 I See You is a monoprint about seeing another person without judgment or prejudice. It reflects a desire to move beyond societal labels—money, gender, nationality, religion, or age—and to encounter another human being as they are. The work centers on the eye as a symbolic gateway to the soul. Across cultures, the gaze has been understood as a direct channel of presence and truth. In Kundalini practice, particular attention is given to the left eye, believed to be connected to the heart and emotional center. This idea informs the composition, where the act of looking becomes a form of connection rather than observation. I See You invites a moment of pause—to look without projection, to recognize without categorizing. At its core, the work affirms that genuine human connection, beyond constructed identity, is one of the most essential experiences we have. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Waterfall Shower acrylic pour on canvas 48 x 24 This work is about the immersion of the human figure and water through vivid turquoise swirls and bubbles. The fluid process is taking the lead and begs the eye to embrace the imperfections and let go of trying to control the outcome while evoking a sense of calm. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Raven bronze on steel base sculpture 18 x 16 x 12 Lee Hutt studied painting in Belgium as an undergraduate. There, her love of the classical traditions in art was encouraged. Pursuing a course in psychology, Lee received a masters degree in science from Columbia University. Lee continued taking art classes at the New School where she was influenced by the work of Jacob Lawrence and Chaim Gross. This piece was inspired by a raven that lived on a tree outside Lee's home in South Hadley. Sculpted from clay and cast in bronze at the Modern Art Foundry in Long Island City. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Home Front acrylic, ink, graphite, image transfer and thread on canvas 20 x 20 Home Front celebrates the resilience and leadership of women who have endured and sustained their communities through times of conflict and change. Inspired by the Log Cabin quilt pattern, traditionally symbolizing hearth, home, and safe shelter, the work also references the legend of Underground Railroad quilts as emblems of protection and guidance. Torn and reassembled canvas fragments are stitched into a quilt square, paying homage to solidarity, dignity, and strength passed from one generation to the next. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Oven Bird oil on wood panel 9 x 9 I love to paint outside, and I often warm up for my studio day by painting birds outside. This daily practice has taught me so much about all the different types of birds in Tampa, Florida. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Ethereal Valley oil on cradled panel 18.25 x 14.25 The artwork depicts an alien landscape bathed in an ethereal, almost otherworldly glow. Much of my work is categorized as Magic Realism and it's an outgrowth of my work in Science Fiction and Fantasy illustration over the years. This piece was an approach to an alien environment that is far more otherworldly, however, my inspiration came from a place on Earth, The Valley of Dreams located in New Mexico. My formations are not exactly the same, they are varied and more surreal and I made a point to not copy any of the formations. The overall atmosphere is serene and yet awe inspiring. The piece suggests a sense of exploration, discovery and a hint of the vast unknown mysteries of the cosmos. Ethereal Valley was also chosen as an interior illustration for the March issue of Utopia Magazine. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Finding My Way oil 22 x 18 In this oil painting, I worked to balance texture and color with geometric shapes to create a dynamic composition. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Nest acrylic and colored pencil on wood 16 x 16 "Nest," is part of my newest series, Soft, which is grounded in the concept of echoes—those lingering impressions that reverberate through memory and emotion. The gentle luminosity of the white line-work evokes breath, reflection, and the passage of time, while the delicately colored backgrounds hum softly beneath the surface—like faint recollections or whispered voices. Through this gentle contrast, I merge the tangible with the ethereal, revealing how stillness can carry energy, and how even silence itself can resonate with profound depth. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • River Walkabout acrylic on raw canvas with black gesso and coffee 24 x 18 Inspired by and celebrating the Australian Aboriginal artists. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Farandole V sculpture: plasma cutted steel, welded, folded and patinated 25 x 4.5 x 4.5 This piece is composed of five "love cells", linked together like a delicate paper chain. I wanted to move beyond the traditional heart symbol and create a form that feels more alive. For me, love is note fixed or idealized, it moves, adapts and evolves. Each cell is asymmetrical and organic, never fixed or idealized, but constantly shifting, adapting and evolving. Assembled together, the five elements create a quiet rhythm, a choreography or a "farandole" (a french word for connection and movement). The Japanese brown patina softens the steel while keeping its strength and imperfections. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Nautilus Dream printmaking 10 x 15 My work explores and reflects upon serendipitous experiences in nature, seeking to find the spirit within, be it within the air, the water, the skies, the landscape, or within people or animals. It celebrates adventures in nature, responding to and reflecting the sensory awareness in each situation, to the bright or fading light conditions, exuberance of movement, of a story unfolding, and the ensuing emotional response of the beholder. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Azalea photograph 16 x 20 My focus lately has been on abandoned houses, buildings abandoned railway stations and cars, historical sites and nostalgia. As I age my focus is on "things that were" instead of "now things". It stirs my imagination to think about how these places, and things are no longer relevant, but at one time were alive and relevant. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • You Can Help Me? oil on canvas 24 x 18 Throughout my career, I have painted portraits of individuals experiencing homelessness. While living in Los Angeles, I volunteered with the Homeless Outreach Program in Skid Row, an experience that deeply shaped my perspective. Through this piece, I aim to raise awareness about the ongoing homelessness crisis across the country and encourage viewers to engage with the humanity behind the issue. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Path acrylic on board, paper, skins 24 x 24 My garden has an Eastern Lantern which I love to daydream in. It was a special gift which I decided to tell its story thru my art. I did in bold colors and strived for complexity of abstract with a bit of cohesion. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Fists of Freedom acrylic, acrylic marker, & pen on canvas 10 x 10 The battle for equality is as old as time. We continue to experience the systematic dismantling of our hard-fought-for freedoms, even in this land we call ‘The Home of the Free’. Throughout time and history, women have led, educated, fought, conquered, ruled, and birthed nations. Be inspired to dig your heels in. This is a sliver of time, while not meaningless, a blight. It is a teaching moment. Like ephemeral work for us to paint over with the names of inspiring female leaders who will take us into our future. We learn from the past. We will remove the masks, learn the names, and change the laws. Freedoms will be granted. Leaders, crafted with care, will rise. A time for women to lead is here. This is not a question, but a demand. The world is long overdue for a nurturing hand of leadership and a woman’s touch. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Helicopter Owl oil on canvas 21 x 17 I was intrigued by a newspaper story about an owl that flew into a helicopter mid-air and stayed for part of the ride. My imagined interactions and mutual observations of bird and human in this story was an irresistible invitation to paint it. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Lesson Learned (My Octopus Teacher) acrylic/ mixed media on canvas 24 x 24 Two canvases side by side, with only different hues of blue in mind I started painting. No clear idea of a theme, no connection yet, only the joy and the struggles of the process. Half way through the painting an interview with the director of My Octopus Teacher on NPR guided me to an entirely different direction. Rarely I find myself being touched to this extent by a subject. Most of the rest of my journey I was in the flow, as if I were right there under the water with this wise guy. To the contrary of others’ suggestions I insisted not seeing the documentary until I finished the paintings. When I did who could stop the tears? No one. Especially the other of the two paintings, Save The Seaforest, made me believe I was living in this underwater world while creating. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Consider Strutting acrylic 24 x 36 I am always inspired by the music that's playing. Listening to Rachmaninov provided the energy and colors invoked in Consider Strutting. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Blue Seam in Alaskan Glacier watercolor on clayboard 12 x 12 Based on my travels to Alaska, this painting has me chasing the deep blue that is found within glaciers. The color is intoxicating. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Conducting Strings in Color watercolor pencils and Neocolor 2 drawing on Rives BFK paper adhered to and varnished on cradled wood panel 24 x 34 Conducting Strings in Color captures the immediacy and energy of live performance through gesture and color. Working in mixed media, I suggest the motion of music through the movement of the conductor and musicians, allowing line, shape, and color to carry rhythm across the surface. The drawing seeks to translate sound into visual form—where marks pulse, overlap, and respond—evoking the shared intensity and fleeting nature of a musical moment. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Games of Life watercolor 36 x 51 The artwork expresses the notion that the games we play as children are intended to teach us life-coping skills such as flexibility, perseverance & resilience. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Gatherer- The Leaves of the Trees are for the Healing of the Nations acrylic paint on canvas 24 x 48 "The Gatherer- the Leaves of the Trees are for the Healing of the Nations" is an allegorical reference from Revelation 22:2 promising a time of healing. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Holding Pattern oil on stretched canvas 24 x 20 One Monday morning realizing I had to make several phone calls which would require spending forever on hold, (tedious music included) the image of Death of Marat came to mind, so I grabbed a canvas and painted how I felt. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Steps to Serenity fiber art 40 x 30 I love photographing and recreating old doors wherever I travel. They are my portals to the world. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • This is America printmaking 14 x 11 The unbelievable scenes in Minnesota of ICE agents attacking US citizens has me very upset. I am shocked by what our government is doing. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Nature Simulation fiber art 28 x 14 Nature simulation is the act of imitating or representing natural systems, processes, or phenomena through artificial means, typically involving computational models or virtual environments. If our human brains and bodies are also computers, our art is a by-product of that which comes through the mind and senses. This piece, through that definition, is like an algorithm -a set of instructions to decode nature. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Still Wishing for Madam President mono-print with graphite, ink and pastel on paper 22 x 30 I work with my own image, something I can control to comment about those things outside our control. I started this piece on November 6, 2024, right after the defeat of Kamala Harris, which I found devastating. I wrote into it my feelings about the election and then my observations about the complete hijacking of our democracy by this current president. He represents a clear and present danger to us all. I had to write and draw my rage, instead of holding it in. I started with a photo polymer lithograph of a repeated self portrait, then drew and rubbed into the surface with graphite and pastel, ending with text, both hand written and stenciled in ink or graphite. I am still wishing…. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Meditation printmaking 17 x 24 This is a mixed media collagraph print. I built the substrate using layered textures and horizontal bands to represent sea landscape and sky. • Florence Duomo View gold leaf gilded photography 16 x 14 My work as a photographic artist has been of continuous exploration of processes and techniques. I physically shape the outcome with my hands whether it be with precious metals, paint or pastels. This image is a framed digital pigment print on translucent vellum backed with 24 Kt gold leaf. It is finished with an archival varnish providing archival UV protection and a semi-gloss finish. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Empty Chairs- yesterday's, today's, tomorrow's mixed media: oil on canvas, seed beads 24.5 x 24.5 Empty Chairs allow one to slip into the memories of someone who is gone and who has left an empty space in one's life. One knows that life is tenuous. Death is always the end product of life. To live is to die. All pondering on death is done by the living. All fear of death is felt by the living. Death is what makes life precious. Memories are what the living have of the dead. Memories are what enrich the lives of the living. This image is a non narrative exploration into empty spaces, empty spaces to be filled with memories. Considering the death of an individual leaves one to ponder the loss, the empty space that this individual has left for others-the living. The loss, the empty space, is what marks the death of the individual. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Love Shack acrylic on canvas 14 x 14 Capturing passion in the moment of young love was the intent behind this piece. Spirit, gesture and a tad of chaos. My acrylic paintings develop slowly through multiple layering. Tried and true elements of color, texture, line and shape never disappoint. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Failed Escape mixed media: acrylic and paper on cradled panel 22 x 22 On a trip to Monaco, I was captivated by the intricate tilework on the walls, each tile a small masterpiece of color and pattern. As I studied them, I imagined secret lives beneath their orderly arrangement. What if the tiles were not fixed in place, but simply resting on the wall, free to shift and move? In Failed Escape, the tiles dream of slipping beyond the surface that confines them. They shuffle into new positions, test the edges, and try to break from the monotony of their daily view. But escape proves harder than they imagined. Some lose balance, some get stuck, and some end up where they began, a little worn but wiser. The wall becomes a stage for their search for change, reflecting a deeply human longing for freedom, novelty, and life beyond the pattern. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Searching watercolor 20 x 20 When working in an abstract manner, my first priority is the color direction, I am interested in working with. As an intuitive painter, I let my mood of the moment determine where the piece is going. I then add elements of design and images, such as letters and numbers in a subtle manner, to enhance the visual process. I am also concerned about the range of values I choose, as I am also a high contrast painter. In the end, I am looking for a pleasing arrangement of shapes and colors that will pull the viewer in! Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Queen of Spades printmaking: monoprint with gouache on blue paper 16 x 14 This print is part of current illustration project called Opera Album Covers. It depicts elements from Tchaikovsky’s opera “The Queen of Spades” based on Alexander Pushkin’s ghost story about an elderly countess and a gambler who goes mad over a secret card combination. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Three Graces before Entheon photograph: giclée print with archival pigment inks on fine art paper, artist-signed 36 x 24 On Halloween Eve in 2023, three women set out on a pilgrimage to Entheon, the visionary sanctuary designed by artists Alex and Allyson Grey. Before the journey began, we gathered in a small restaurant glowing with warm light, a threshold moment where anticipation quietly settled around us. The repetition of mirrors and reflected lights suggested positive manifestation, as if the space itself echoed what we hoped the journey would bring and affirmed our intention. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Summer in Italy oil on canvas 30 x 24.35 My landscape reflects the joy that I find in nature. This was a scene that I came across in Italy while traveling. I love the shadows and light that play upon the different surfaces. The textures also intrigue me. This is one part of the world that I love. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Deconstruction mixed media: oil paint, ink, letter stamps, torn paper 40 x 16 An intuitive painter, here I combined my poetry and imagery. The challenge was to retain the piece’s painterly quality and its personal story, without it becoming purely illustrative. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Sadie watercolor and collage 17 x 21 Sadie was listed in early census documents as a dressmaker. Her husband died early and she made ends meet by sewing dresses for women in the community. She was skilled using a treadle sewing machine, sewing for others, and making quilts that keep her family warm even to today. The goal of my current work is to shine a spotlight on the often overlooked narratives of the women who came before us, aiming to shed light on their quiet yet significant contributions to society. Through my art, I hope to amplify the voices of the unseen, helping viewers to contemplate the profound resonance of untold stories and unnoticed legacies. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Untitled acrylic on paper 20 x 16 My work explores color, movement, and emotional energy through abstract acrylic painting. Using bold palettes and flowing shapes, I build compositions that evoke joy, curiosity, and a sense of visual rhythm. My background as a professional chef strongly influences my approach to color relationships and layering—much like cooking, I experiment with combinations to create balance, contrast, and unexpected harmony. Each of my pieces develops intuitively through multiple layers, allowing shapes and colors to interact until a dynamic composition emerges. I aim to create work that invites personal interpretation while offering viewers a moment of visual pleasure and emotional lift. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Inner Game (A Game Without Witnesses) oil on canvas 24 x 17.75 "Inner Game" captures the silent confrontation between our instincts and control. Within the language of chess, the scene becomes an inner landscape, where the most decisive moves happen unseen. The woman here faces the chess knight not as an opponent, but as a reflection of her own power - raw, unpredictable, and not yet known. Her stillness is not hesitation, but awareness. In this unseen game, nothing is performed and nothing is proven. It's the moment she recognizes her own power before it moves. No witnesses. No victory. Just the beginning of mastery. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Above and Below acrylic on canvas 36 x 48 This work represents a view from above looking down through the atmosphere with a vision of the earth in the lower half of the canvas. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Chaos Within acrylic paint marker and ink on panel 13 x 13 Painted from life, "The Chaos Within" depicts a messy array of plants in a greenhouse. Bright corn plants in the foreground draw the eye into a darker mayhem of vines, leaves and flowers sunning themselves under a glass roof. I created this piece using acrylic paint marker and ink over the course of three morning sittings at Peckham's Greenhouse in Little Compton, Rhode Island. The title reflects not so much the subject of the painting but how I was feeling while creating it. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • In Transit encaustic, shellac, & toner transfer on cradled board. 18 x 14 Inside Grand Central Terminal there is a constant energy present. A non-stop crossing of paths for commuters, tourists and people passing through. This encaustic, (layers of fused wax), aims to capture that flow and energy through the use of a high contrast tonal transfer. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Modern Odalisque digital painting fabricated to archival pigment on paper 20 x 24 A contemporary take on the famous reclining nude, which as painted by the great masters throughout art history, have always been female. Here the guys take a break, relax on the couch, and become the object of desire — while the gals bring home the bacon :) Painted with a digital brush — a medium that like it or not, defines our age like no other. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Spring Garden Passage oil on canvas 25 x 19.5 I went to see an indoor art collection, but what also enchanted me were the gardens. I found this bridge in a parklike setting that featured pine trees and a lazy brook flowing gently to a larger pond. The main feature is the stone bridge which allows for the passage of time and wonderment, as to where the bridge might be taking the viewer. The bridge and the rocks have sharp geometric shapes compared to the softness of the trees and flowing water. To complement all the green trees, I began with a warm majenta color as a base and painted the trees in cool greens leaving flecks of majenta to show through. The play of warm and cool colors adds liveliness to this tranquil scene. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Hope Springs Eternal alcohol ink on yupo paper 12 x 16 Hope Springs Eternal This metaphorical landscape painting is about navigating towards light into a place of hope as one finds a way out of the forest. It is inspired by a need and my choice to embrace brightness and positivity in the darkness and chaos that seems to hover over the entire world like an enormous dark cloud. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Portrait of Mamadou oil on linen 17 x 13 This portrait is of an artist's model, "Mamadou". I was inspired to paint his portrait, being attracted to the strong and confident gaze in his eyes. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Portal in Noyers oil on linen 15 x 17 Searching for new inspiration, I spent a 30 day artist residency in 2024 at La Porte Peinte in Noyers sur Serein, in Burgundy. Described as one of the 100 most beautiful villages in France, it's slower pace and supportive creative environment was a portal that opened me to new possibilities, new energy, and more joy in the creative process that remains with me to this day. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Stamped Abstract Series #30 acrylic on canvas 44 x 36 I love to paint, be creative and experiment with stamps as my last layer of paint on the surface. This is one of 40 paintings in this series. One painting just leads to the next and is the inspiration depending on what I learned, or got excited about. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Fragments of Spring image transfer onto Japanese Kinwashi paper 20 x 20 "Lush gardens, majestic landscapes, and serene seascapes have always been a source of inspiration in my image making. Combining traditional photography methods with contemporary techniques enables me to record and reinterpret the world around me. I work on an intuitive level without a predetermined image in mind, and consider an image successful when it is transformed beyond the reality of the camera into a personal connection with nature. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Summer Leaves printmaking: collagraph 23 x 18 This work explores the balance between control and letting go in the printmaking process. I began with simple gathered leaves, placing them onto the plate and running them through the press multiple times. Through that repetition and pressure, the forms started to shift—some areas held, while others dissolved. I’m drawn to how the deep greens and teals create a sense of depth and quiet immersion. Rather than depicting nature directly, the piece becomes a record of its imprint—where natural forms are both preserved and transformed through time, pressure, and material. It's a beautiful rendition of nature's best. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Sap Boiling Day oil on cradled wood 18 x 12 I see the possibilities beyond the real landscape in front of my eyes. Sap Boiling Day represents my experience boiling maple sap this year, the sun rising beyond the tapped trees and the ever-present massive steam plume partially obscuring solid objects. This is what it feels like to boil sap outside on a cold February morning. Instead of defining, I strive to suggest. My imagination filters every scene whether en plein air or in studio and connects my feelings about the scene to the color and design choices I make. My expressive and impressionistic style celebrates color and atmosphere and my work plays with those elements in representational rural landscapes. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Kailua Garden acrylic on canvas with added painted canvas elements 16 x 12 My work is about joy. It is about the practice of intentionally noticing and connecting with the beauty all around us. I feel a deep and soulful response to simple kind of beauty. It is profoundly personal. This is not about painting a pretty thing. This is a connection felt at a single glance. In addition to painting, I love the challenge of adding additional planes to a traditional painting and the intriguing results. I love the unexpected. I feel that it engages and draws people more deeply into the pieces. I feel so much joy in my work and I am so honored when others feel it too. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Young Woman oil on board 14 x 14 A young woman in contemplation, painted from life over the course of three weeks. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Resilience oil on linen panel 16 x 13 In late January 2026 Upstate NY was expecting a huge snowstorm. The air was hushed and quiet. An injured deer was instinctively hunkering down in the snowdrifts that served as his only shelter, awaiting the onslaught. I was emotionally overwhelmed at the resilience shown by this vulnerable being, up against such brutal forces. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Helping Hand graphite, watercolor, acrylic on wooden cradle 10 x 10 I wanted to create a dialog with nature. Working on a wood panel I started to draw an outline of the hand but realized the unpainted wood would be the flesh tone and added shadows for dimension. I painted the bird with colorful watercolors and finished with flat white acrylic for a contemporary effect. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Nesting sculpture: felted wool and glazed ceramics 7 x 9.5 x 1.5 My work melds ceramics and felted wool. My sculptural practice began with ceramics—initially, figurative and then abstraction. Recently, I started incorporating felt into my work—creating felt from raw wool and shaping that material into sculptures. I was drawn to the contrast between the soft, fibrous quality of wool against the hard, glazed permanence of fired clay. Although that contrast remains evident in my works, the materials also serve each other, creating a unity that is further enhanced by the use of color—an element that is intrinsic to both materials. In Nesting, a ceramic form is held within layered folds of felt. The wool drapes around it, creating a protective structure—the soft enclosing the hard, the yielding sheltering the fixed. Rather than treating the materials as incompatible, the piece creates a symbiotic relationship between them, bound together with color. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Layers of Strata & Light mixed media: acrylic paint and painted tissue on wood panel 13 x 13 I strived to create a piece that captures a dynamic stillness, where shifting planes and nuanced color relationships engage the viewer in an exploration of emotional and spatial resonance. My love of shapes and color are evident in this piece. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Disturbance printmaking: monotype on paper 30 x 22 This work is part of a series called above and below. The moon shimmers over the dark and chaotic earth below. The monotype is painted on plexiglass with the use of Yupo stencils and printed on Rives BFK. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Rebirth of the Awakening sculpture: white clay with 24k gold leaf 12 x 10 x 10 This sculpture was inspired by Michelangelo’s Slaves, whose unfinished forms powerfully express struggle, emergence, and release. I have always been moved by the way these figures seem to press outward from the stone, as if they are becoming visible before our eyes. That tension between confinement and freedom shaped my approach to this piece. In this work, I wanted to suggest a form in transition — emerging, resisting, and transforming. It speaks to endurance, vulnerability, and the quiet strength found in becoming. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • As She Lay Dying watercolor pencil on paper 18 x 22 After receiving a text from my brother-in-law, I sat at my desk and imagined my sister slowly losing her moisture into a cloud of personal symbols as her essence became increasingly infinitesimal like a stick figure Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Don't Be Afraid of the Dark acrylic on paper 24 x 20 My work on paper expresses a cautionary warning concerning the human condition. Without fear, my black and isolated body treads into the unknown. Yet, the figure walks out of the darkness and into the light symbolizing the hope and strength of the human spirit. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Inheritance of Wings watercolor 17 x 21 In "Inheritance of Wings", I use menstrual blood as both material and meaning, something deeply personal, yet intentionally shared. By bringing it into the work, I confront the discomfort and stigma surrounding the female body, reframing it as something natural, powerful, and worthy of respect. A central figure shields herself as sparrows move around her, representing the presence of community and family. The piece reflects the experience of choosing growth, leaving harm, setting boundaries, or stepping into a different life and the resistance that can come from those closest to us. The act of shielding is not fear, but awareness. It is the quiet moment of protecting oneself while still moving forward. This work is about breaking cycles, holding onto your sense of self, and finding strength in becoming something different than what was expected. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Fluffy photography: digitally enhanced 20 x 23 I had never seen a flamingo in real life, so I made it my mission during the Christmas holiday to find at least one—and I succeeded. I dreamed of capturing their graceful shape, poised stance, and, above all, their stunning color, yearning to be immersed in the beauty of their feathers. This past winter, that dream came true. I hope you, too, can delight in being enveloped by the rich texture and vibrant hues of this magnificent and exotic bird. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Dress No. 6 masking tape relief print with Chine-colle 14 x 11 Shopping for a granddaughter's birthday present, I saw this dress in a Philadelphia clothing store. I photographed it and turned it into a relief print. The surprising thing about it is that the plate is made by using layers of masking tape! I inked the plate and used Chine-colle to add the red and yellow shapes to the plate before it was run through the press. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Golden Hour oil on canvas 25 x 37 This painting explores a network of entangled vegetation in an imaginary tropical landscape. I try to capture light, entwined linear elements and brilliant color of these wild plant forms bursting with life. It's a symphony of movement, color and rhythmic mark-making that culminates in that ethereal light circulating in the center, pulsing with a spiritual energy. It becomes a metaphor for my inner landscape with its tangled network of nerves seeking balance and calm. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Guardian mixed media: sculpture frame with hand cast dichroic cabochon, glass mosaic, seed bead mosaic, painting and 24k gold 14 x 12 My work comes from a place of unwritten yet familiar tales, of nature and cathedrals, of ancient and undiscovered sacred places found in forests and along the banks of rivers, inside a dream. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • A Cautionary Tale freehand digital painting, archival pigment on canvas 16 x 20 In "A Cautionary Tale" we see a young woman becoming an elderly woman before our eyes. She has wasted her precious life, lost in social media for decades and decades. The phone has become distorted. On the walls the years overlap and melt from one year to another. The calendar also displays the emptiness of her life. This painting was inspired after reading several articles about how many young people spend an average of 6 hours a day on social media. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • South Mountain Trail pastel on paper 17 x 21 My artwork is an expression of the joy and peace I experience while enjoying nature. I choose to work with soft pastels because I love their versatility and directness of application. The beautiful pure pigments are perfect for depicting the way light plays off the colors and textures in nature. This pastel painting was inspired by a hike near my home in Rockland County, NY. I hope to convey not only the beauty of this scene but also the experience of the hike. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Evening Sky oil on canvas 18 x 24 I am constantly in awe of nature. When I paint, I translate that magic and wonder into images of paint on canvas and I feel like time has never passed. I am always excited to challenge myself to express the beauty around me and that keeps me learning. As I paint, the constant challenges of creating my vision keep me forever young and I glory in the world around me as I did when I was a child. Painting my vision of the world makes me transcend my everyday reality. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Glenda's Barn watercolor 14 x 21.5 When I find stillness and clarity in the world around me, I thrive on the expression and emotions that my work helps me share with others. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Red Blouse acrylic 10 x 20 For a long time I have been painting people, in train stations, in streets. This painting was inspired while watching people in an art gallery. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Everyday Magic mixed media collage with acrylic paint ink and crayons on canvas 24 x 18 I was inspired by a trip to Italy seeing the towns alleys windows and wanted to create an image that was in my mind Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Pitcher Plants / Hen and Biddies collage: paper, pen and oil 12.5 x 12.5 Like most Artist I paint my surroundings. I am a lifelong nature lover, My work focus on the pets , livestock, and the rural landscapes that shape my daily life. My earliest inspiration came from childhood walks with my grandmother in the woods, discovering hidden wonders like the wild pitcher plants she called "hen and biddies" These memories continue to guide my work as I create pieces that honor the quiet beauty of rural life. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Crosses II collage 28 x 18 The work developed initially from the advertisement for aspirin for a miserable mother. It led me to consider the roles of religion and stereotypical gender roles in trapping us in a rigid societal framework. "Crosses" references the multiple meanings of cross depicted: anger, religion, cross-dressing. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Triumph (Sarlat-la-Caneda, France) oil on canvas 43.5 x 61.5 Common in Europe since Medieval times, this pollard tree is in the Dordogne region, where prehistoric cave paintings by early man were found. The seemingly brutal cuts of “pollarding” encourage new growth of multiple branches, making them fuller and stronger. It’s a metaphor for the terrible difficulties we may all have experienced. Yet we can recover to find that we are stronger than before and have grown in other ways. Essentially, it’s about victory over brutality. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Remembering a special friend acrylic on canvas 48 x 180 This 15-ft-long (triptych) painting is a vessel for a spirit that could never be contained by a standard canvas. The scale demands the viewer's full physical presence, much like he did in life. The painting captures the vibrant wake left behind. This is not a quiet memorial but a loud immersive celebration of a soul that lived at full volume. Every stroke and color choice translates a profound personal loss into a shared space of reflection and power. This work stands as a testament to a life lived without reservation, offering a place where the magnitude of his absence is met by the magnitude of this tribute. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Under Lock and Key charcoal on paper 24 x 18 Under Lock and Key reflects a state of emotional guardedness—the instinct to remain closed off out of fear of vulnerability and harm. The composition is deliberately constrained within an elongated vertical oval, echoed by a custom mat and enclosed within a metal frame, creating a physical and visual barrier that separates the viewer from the image. At the same time, there is an underlying sense of resilience. The sharp, unyielding forms suggest a kind of steadfastness—an ability to hold one’s ground without wavering. This tension between protection and endurance speaks to the complexity of self-preservation: the ways we shield ourselves, and the strength it takes to withstand what presses against us. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Stone Soul acrylic on found wood, found stone 13 x 7 x 7 I am attracted to working with found objects, and have eventually created quite a few found assemblages as a result. I believe they are sometimes called objet trouvé —and I agree with the consensus that what I like is the way I can take discarded objects and can transform and recontextualize and give new life and new aesthetic value. I especially like the way the “real” is transformed into the “surreal” through my creative process. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Transient oil on birchwood panel 14 x 11 I love working with oil paint and people inspire most of my work. The model who posed for this painting , Emily Metalskin, is one of the most inspiring models I have had the pleasure of working with; a consummate professional her poses evoke unique characteristics. In “Transient"I painted her as a woman experiencing the quandary of being a lone homeless wanderer, a condition I could relate to on a personal level having been, in my younger years, just that. It is essential for me to find an aspect of recognition in all my subjects be they animal vegetable or mineral; to create a felt story of life through the medium of visual art. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Laughing Lion mixed media: tile glitter, acrylic 14 x 17 I enjoy lions and made one laughing. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Unconditional photography 16 x 21 They have nothing, yet they share everything. Increasingly, couples and families are unable to meet the increasing cost of housing. Inflation, stagnating wages and catastrophic illness are just a few of the reasons more and more Americans are becoming displaced. (PIT 2024) Yet, for this couple, their unwavering love binds them together as they sleep peacefully on a bed of concreate with only a small throw. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Tech Bro Circus oil and cold wax medium on board 24 x 12 This piece was my response to the rise of the tech titans in our worlds and the power they wield. On one level the painting is my expression of resistance and disdain for the negative aspects that tech has visited on our society. As a former clinical officer of several medical tech startups where i was entrenched in the "Tech Bro" culture daily I painted this work as my personal response to my exposure to that culture and how it effected me. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Freya Stark, Explorer and Writer acrylic on pad 21 x 16 I am currently creating a Strong Women series of expressionistic portraits of women, historical and contemporary, in some instances loosely based on photographs of those no longer living. I work in a style that I feel is immediate rather than studied, one that will capture the essence of the subject. Some exhibited works have included Toni Morrisson, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Colette, Joan Didion, and Kamala Harris among others. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Hot Nights, Bright Lights: Pool 1 oil on canvas 24 x 24 Much of my work explores the transformative effect of light on the ordinary. This nocturne plays off the idea of “reflection,” evoking the nostalgia of swimming on warm summer nights. Bright, scattered lights shimmer across the pool’s surface, mirrored through water-blurred vision, where perception softens and shifts. The perspective bends as if seen through the eyes of a child suspended at the surface, where even a small pool expands into something vast, mysterious, and immersive. Angles double, textures ripple, and light fragments into a dreamlike interplay of color and motion. In this space between clarity and distortion, memory and sensation merge—creating a quiet, luminous fantasy that captures the fleeting magic of a night swim. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Mme. Belle between 6 & 7 printmaking: relief print and chine collé on paper 20 x 20 I created what I thought was a fictional version of history with women of a certain age during the Cold War. This piece is part of my Housewife Operative series that examines the role of women in that era, which I have subsequently discovered to be true, women did work as spies (for centuries, in fact). The color palette and iconography create a game like tone for a truly dangerous endeavor. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Heavenly Morning Glories oil on canvas 18 x 14 I am always inspired by the beauty of nature. I love the colors and shapes of these morning glories My paintings express my fascination with the mysteries, rhythms, and patterns of the natural world. Through light, color and composition I seek to share a spiritual/sensual voyage and to capture with immediacy moods and feelings. My technique combines the best features of abstraction with organic representational imagery. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Bridge to my imagination acrylic: poured watercolors, fluid acrylics, paper collage, ink 20 x 24 “Bridge to my imagination” is an abstract landscape that illustrates my life. Metaphors of experience sail through imaginary waters as inspiration filters through my mind. Finally creative thoughts cross the bridge that unite my spirit with my imagination. • Sarah's Ketonet watercolor 23.5 x 22.5 For the past several years I’ve been dealing with my daughter’s untimely death. She taught middle school ancient history. That’s what led me to look at a schematic of the Biblical tabernacle in Jerusalem and make paintings based on it. Some of this work has focused on the scarlet, purple, and indigo veils that separate the three sections of the tabernacle. Recently, I’ve delved into the Old Testament to learn about the cloths used to make garments. I’ve made paintings of Jospeh’s tunic, Job’s sack cloth, the high priest’s ephod. I like the repetitive quality of this new work and how it sustains me. After covering the surface of the paper or canvas with hundreds of circles or ellipses, I build layer upon layer of paint leaving some areas exposed. Making painting with these references lets me feel connected to my daughter and is helping me process my grief. • On the Rocks oil 16 x 20 The churning waters disappearing into the distant fog and the crashing waves on the rocky Maine coast conjured up thoughts of the turmoil of life and how powerless and insignificant we are. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Peppers in Motion oil 12 x 14 My subject matter can often reference the human form, gesture, memory, emotion, sensuality or simply capture the energy of a time and place. Some of my work has been fueled by my love of the summer garden. It’s bounty and fruitfulness excites me. My garden in season is lush with vegetation, blossoms, and tons of veggies. I see my still life paintings not as still life but as animated conversations and interactions. When I work from the natural world, I ingest this experience and then synthesize it into my own expression. My use of paint is visceral. I have an appetite for color and enjoy the manipulation of paint that grabs the eye and stirs the unconscious. When painting, I am compelled to articulate a fierce passion for life, female strength, and fecundity. • Cascade 3 printmaking: monotype on Hahnemuhle copperplate paper 21 x 17 This monotype is part of a series of explorations of falling water, inspired by a visit to Mammoth Lakes, California, following a drought. A rainfall had just provided a bit of relief, allowing for water to cascade down rocks and inclines. It reminds of the preciousness of water. The process allowed the movement of ink on plate to mimic the movement of water, with gravity pulling it over rocks and growth. • Toying with Evolution mixed media: oil, acrylic on four joined canvases and found objects on canvas (wooden nutcrackers) 21 x 24 “Toying with Evolution” traces the evolution of archetypal toys from bare primordial wooden nutcrackers to mass-produced icons like the Stormtrooper, Captain America, and the classic soldier. The work explores how the war games children play and images of heroism and innocence circulate and adapt, while the essence of play and the spirit of conflict remain constant across the ages, keeping pace with the evolution of warfare. A cartoon-like swirl animates the progression across the panels, while ghostly paint seeps from the reverse unseen side of one of the canvases, hinting at an unseen player shaping the narrative. This four-paneled sculptural canvas construction creates a layered narrative and forms part of my ongoing practice of presenting multiple viewpoints and versions of the same theme simultaneously. The multi-sided, constructed-and-undone structure demands active multi-perspective viewing, inviting the observer to decode the layered relationships between raw object and painted surface. • Haven II oil on canvas 11 x 11 This painting began from a quiet morning view outside my home. Rather than describing the landscape directly, I focused on how the moment felt, including the warmth of light, the stillness, and the sense of calm. I used oil paint with layered and textured surfaces to build a space where forms are not fixed but dissolve into color and atmosphere. The horizon becomes a boundary between memory and perception, while the lower area suggests reflection and fluidity. I am interested in how a familiar place can shift into an internal landscape through sensation. This work holds a subtle moment when the outside world becomes something felt rather than clearly seen. • Peonies in White watercolor 14 x 11 Painted in the depths of winter, these white peonies shimmer with light and movement, quietly evoking the inevitable return of spring. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • No Safe Place printmaking 18 x 15.5 My current work investigates the nature of communication - natural, political, interpersonal and geographical - to see how they attune to each other and hold the whole intact or fail and misfire. I use various printmaking methods like a cook would mix ingredients. Serigraph is great for opaque predictable outcomes. Monotypes give fuzzy mystical nuances and intaglio gives me the pressed impressions and deep grooved stories I like to entwine with other layers. The inherent notion of trust in systems as safety nets, protection and comfort is currently a consideration for every American given current political policy makers. It is only with scrutiny and discernment that we can examine which systems we have become complacent about saving or redeeming. • Happy Hour oil on canvas 18 x 22 I am a retired sailor. This image is near and dear to my heart - end of a hard beat upwind, safe in the slip, glass of wine in hand. Sunburned, tired, contented, in company of other sailors who feel the same. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Your Courage, Our Rage diptych Collage on two cradle boards: free motion stitched figures, artist dyed papers with hand-cut letters 14 x 23 Armed Immigration Agents in Minnesota attacked and killed two US citizens who were trying to help their neighbors legally. To date, the callous murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, irrefutably caught on numerous videos, have avoided prosecution in our court system. This lack of accountability bodes ill for the future of our law enforcement and our courts. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Isaac Woodard Man with No Eyes (square) oil on panel 18 x 18 Isaac Woodard was beaten and blinded by law enforcement as he was returning home from military service in 1946. His horrific maiming called national attention to the brutality against black men in the American south and spurred the movement towards civil rights. This work is my humble plea for enlightenment to emerge from darkness. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Mother with Child oil on canvas 24 x 19 My work is an exploration of the infinite variety of the human face. I am fascinated by the fact that no two countenances are the same, and I use the portrait as a vessel to tell stories. My process begins with tactile immediacy—using pencil, charcoal, and pastel to capture likenesses from life, television, and photographs. These sketches serve as the foundation for my oil paintings, where the imagery shifts along a spectrum from realism to symbolism and expressionistic abstraction. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Seeing Red vinyl, tape, seam binding, staples, grommets (wall hung), and red objects 23 x 18 x 4.25 As a sculptor, I am impelled to collect and sort objects; the gathering of objects is a critical component of my being. Seeing Red is a form created in the shape of a hand from vinyl and filled with acquired objects. My studio overflows with found objects. Eager to construct forms I continually seek, find, and make new constructions from objects that have a past. Joy envelopes me the moment I step into my studio. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Ghost Town in Tucany photography 24 x 34 Intrigued by an abandoned town in Tuscany, I loved the last signs of humanity--four chairs situated in a grouping that suggested neighbors gathering to talk. The surrounding mottled paint-textured walls paired with these chairs inspired me to capture this photograph. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Beneath Our Feet encaustic, oil, collage on wood 24 x 24 I was inspired by a trip I took through the upper Catskills. It is not a realistic painting, but rather a depiction of how magical the far-reaching scenery felt. Beneath Our Feet was created as a reminder of the sanctuary nature offers and how important it is that we explore and honor our natural world Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Nocturne hand drawn, layered cyanotype, tea and coffee dyed with thread 14 x 20 My work investigates loss, memory and human fragility. I use natural and scavenged materials. I burn, dye, stitch, rust and drill wood, paper, silk and metal. I choose obsessive, repetitive mark making processes where traces of the hand remain. Cyanotypes, created with exposure to our largest star, allude to the celestial and star filled heavens, beacons used for centuries as guideposts though many have long since burnt out. The past burning present in our daily lives. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
