Still Wishing for Madam President

I work with my own image, something I can control to comment about those things outside our control. I started this piece on November 6, 2024, right after the defeat of Kamala Harris, which I found devastating. I wrote into it my feelings about the election and then my observations about the complete hijacking of our democracy by this current president. He represents a clear and present danger to us all. I had to write and draw my rage, instead of holding it in. I started with a photo polymer lithograph of a repeated self portrait, then drew and rubbed into the surface with graphite and pastel, ending with text, both hand written and stenciled in ink or graphite. I am still wishing….
