My decision to design a boot stems from a fascination with the precision and technical mastery required by the form. Working with rigid, textured metal, I explored the intersection of the fragile and the resilient. My creative process focused on the tension between strength and weightlessness, leading me to adorn the boot with intricate, self-fabricated dragonflies and butterflies. Together, they symbolize transformation and freedom. This work reflects my passion for merging nature with technology, challenging the viewer to see a sculpture that exists at the boundary of fine art and question if it is a wearable design.
