I am currently creating a Strong Women series of expressionistic portraits of women, historical and contemporary, in some instances loosely based on photographs of those no longer living. I work in a style that I feel is immediate rather than studied, one that will capture the essence of the subject. Some exhibited works have included Toni Morrisson, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Colette, Joan Didion, and Kamala Harris among others.
