Mother-Earth, the Primordial Goddess of Earth-Sea, the symbol of Divine feminine, Cosmic Female Principle called Ki by Sumerians, Yin by Chinese, Prithvi in Hindu Rigveda, Gaia in Ancient Greece, Terra in Rome – these and other alternative names present in all cultures compile a global collective consciousness. My sculpture is one of numerous contributions to the lore. The materials, the fabrication and the design are corresponding to the five elements: Earth – Solid figure made of stoneware and terra-cotta, rock crystal, glazed with minerals, Water – wavy forms and engraved lines in waterbased clay, surrounded by sea-weathered oyster shells, Fire – the russet shades of terra-cotta shell represents the process of clay firing in ceramic kiln, Air surrounds the visual lightness of the forms and the process of air-drying in ceramics, Ether – artistic inspiration, Crystal held high in unity with multiverses, a snake symbolizes Wisdom and cycles of
