Beauty in the Worn was inspired by my love of aged materials and the stories they carry. I am drawn to objects that hold a history and a fragility that newer things cannot contain.
I find beauty in the tender stories that live in that which has been carried – soften – and – imperfectly preserved. Worn edges, faded surfaces, and delicate textures become part of the narrative speaking to time, touch and memory.
This work resonates more deeply with me as I grow older and experience the privilege of aging and the need to preserve my history.
