The natural world and the life around us have always inspired me. They are the sparks that start the process. When painting with acrylics I work between the boundaries of abstraction and representation. Reducing the subjects to bold, simplified forms, I create lots of excitement, tension and lots of space on the canvases. Over time, the paintings in the Blues series have become increasingly abstract and find that wherever I look in nature there is order, and the center of that order is very geometric, very mathematical.
