This painting was inspired by a late afternoon walk through Central Park when the low sun transformed an ordinary path into something luminous and unforgettable. I was drawn to the long shadows, glowing trees, and the quiet rhythm of people moving through the light. Rather than describe every detail, I wanted to capture the feeling of that moment like the warmth, stillness, and sense of connection found in everyday life. Using expressive brushwork and layered color, I focused on atmosphere and the way light can shape both a place and our experience of it. My hope is that viewers are reminded of their own simple, beautiful moments outdoors when the world feels peaceful and full of possibility.
