In “A Cautionary Tale” we see a young woman becoming an elderly woman before our eyes. She has wasted her precious life, lost in social media for decades and decades. The phone has become distorted. On the walls the years overlap and melt from one year to another. The calendar also displays the emptiness of her life. This painting was inspired after reading several articles about how many young people spend an average of 6 hours a day on social media.
