Salty Earth and Cold Tongues, was inspired by the weight of a physical fall in my sixties and the emotional wounds felt when a person uses hurtful words.
My body feels the impact and endurance of both pains. Salt evokes both wound and preservation, while adding crystallisation to the drawing. The stinging is felt from harsh words, while the body is trying to heal and move forward.
