The Chaos Within

Painted from life, “The Chaos Within” depicts a messy array of plants in a greenhouse. Bright corn plants in the foreground draw the eye into a darker mayhem of vines, leaves and flowers sunning themselves under a glass roof. I created this piece using acrylic paint marker and ink over the course of three morning sittings at Peckham’s Greenhouse in Little Compton, Rhode Island. The title reflects not so much the subject of the painting but how I was feeling while creating it.
