  • Stone Soul acrylic on found wood, found stone 13 x 7 x 7 I am attracted to working with found objects, and have eventually created quite a few found assemblages as a result. I believe they are sometimes called objet trouvé —and I agree with the consensus that what I like is the way I can take discarded objects and can transform and recontextualize and give new life and new aesthetic value. I especially like the way the “real” is transformed into the “surreal” through my creative process. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Be Kind photography printed on canvas 12 x 16 Be Kind. A simple, yet powerful statement. These words were found while walking along a pier in North Beach ,Maryland. The waves crashing down below, the wind blowing. It was a beautiful day on the Chesapeake Bay. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Pink Sands mixed media on paper 7 x 9.5 This artwork is inspired by the freedom and happiness I feel near the ocean. Every summer my Mom would load myself and my siblings into our Aspen station wagon and drive 12 hours straight to my grandparents 4 room beach cottage near Boston. By leaving my Dad behind to work, we could all relax. I have many happy memories of beach vacations with family and friends throughout my life. My abstract art attempts to convey those feelings but not specific place. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Quilt Top Study: Greater Together ink jet print 15.5 x 12.5 My quilt top studies are a part of a larger body of work which pays tribute to family quilt makers and stone masons. This work has evolved since the 1960's and has included conceptual systemic paints, prints and sculpture as well as more random more random explorations in assorted media. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • 8+ South of the Mid-Hudson Bridge hand-colored etching 11 x 14 The Rowing Prints are a series created to explore the sport of crew from the point of view of a rower and coach. They are drawn from mundane images of regular practice sessions usually at the crack of dawn on the Hudson River at Poughkeepsie. The etchings in this series are made on small plates etched into the copper of electronic circuit board blanks and hand colored with watercolors to achieve the atmosphere of the moment. I create images that are at once both realistic and nostalgic, aligned with the experience of rowers who ply the waters of the historic rowing venue today. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Cascade 3 printmaking: monotype on Hahnemuhle copperplate paper 21 x 17 This monotype is part of a series of explorations of falling water, inspired by a visit to Mammoth Lakes, California, following a drought. A rainfall had just provided a bit of relief, allowing for water to cascade down rocks and inclines. It reminds of the preciousness of water. The process allowed the movement of ink on plate to mimic the movement of water, with gravity pulling it over rocks and growth. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • This is America printmaking 14 x 11 The unbelievable scenes in Minnesota of ICE agents attacking US citizens has me very upset. I am shocked by what our government is doing. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Bird on a Wire acrylic paint on cradled wood panel with collaged papers and pen 12 x 12 The symbolism in my piece involves a bird, a ladder, and a woman. The bird on a wire sitting over the woman represents the tension between freedom and confinement. The thin wire suggests vulnerability. The image of the woman holding flowers suggests vulnerability and beauty. But because she is wearing a hard hat she also represents empowerment which shows beauty and strength coexisting. The ladder is there to show the rising or courage of both the bird and woman to break free. I like using the imagery of ladders in most of my work. In this piece, in combination with the wire, it supports the meaning of the delicate balance in life. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Edisto #1 Mother's Bones digital 17 x 11 Botany Bay in Edisto Island South Carolina is a beautiful, heart-wrenching site, where the erosion of the beach has left a graveyard of bleached trees that stretch as far as the eye can see. Visitors decorate the tree bones with shells in a heartfelt tribute where land and sea become one. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Blue Seam in Alaskan Glacier watercolor on clayboard 12 x 12 Based on my travels to Alaska, this painting has me chasing the deep blue that is found within glaciers. The color is intoxicating. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Extra Small Work with a Diagonal ink on Washi paper 11 x 11 This piece is a continuation of my Ink Meanderings and from a series of extra small works created in 2025. Using dip pen and ink on paper, I create series of repetitive lines that look different up close than from a distance. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Portal in Noyers oil on linen 15 x 17 Searching for new inspiration, I spent a 30 day artist residency in 2024 at La Porte Peinte in Noyers sur Serein, in Burgundy. Described as one of the 100 most beautiful villages in France, it's slower pace and supportive creative environment was a portal that opened me to new possibilities, new energy, and more joy in the creative process that remains with me to this day. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Azalea photograph 16 x 20 My focus lately has been on abandoned houses, buildings abandoned railway stations and cars, historical sites and nostalgia. As I age my focus is on "things that were" instead of "now things". It stirs my imagination to think about how these places, and things are no longer relevant, but at one time were alive and relevant. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Back to the Sea archival pigment print on paper 24 x 18 I enjoy the discovery of interactions along the shoreline. There are endless possibilities as the tide changes, the weather turns, people come and go. There is freedom and fantasy as you get your toes in the sand and surf. I watched this young boy at play with this magical stick full of barnacles and at last in whatever story he had in mind he returned it respectfully to the sea. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • She nylon, felted wool and glass on handmade paper 12 x 18 This piece represents my search to find my new identity. I recently lost the love of my life. Now I am alone to face the world. In my work with handmade paper, felted wool and fabric, I use materials that I have used over and over again. They are my comfort "food".Hopefully working with familiar materials in new ways will help me move forward as an individual. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Bad Break Up photography 21 x 31 The layers of a street tell its history. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Unconditional photography 16 x 21 They have nothing, yet they share everything. Increasingly, couples and families are unable to meet the increasing cost of housing. Inflation, stagnating wages and catastrophic illness are just a few of the reasons more and more Americans are becoming displaced. (PIT 2024) Yet, for this couple, their unwavering love binds them together as they sleep peacefully on a bed of concreate with only a small throw. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Dress No. 6 masking tape relief print with Chine-colle 14 x 11 Shopping for a granddaughter's birthday present, I saw this dress in a Philadelphia clothing store. I photographed it and turned it into a relief print. The surprising thing about it is that the plate is made by using layers of masking tape! I inked the plate and used Chine-colle to add the red and yellow shapes to the plate before it was run through the press. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Untitled acrylic on paper 20 x 16 My work explores color, movement, and emotional energy through abstract acrylic painting. Using bold palettes and flowing shapes, I build compositions that evoke joy, curiosity, and a sense of visual rhythm. My background as a professional chef strongly influences my approach to color relationships and layering—much like cooking, I experiment with combinations to create balance, contrast, and unexpected harmony. Each of my pieces develops intuitively through multiple layers, allowing shapes and colors to interact until a dynamic composition emerges. I aim to create work that invites personal interpretation while offering viewers a moment of visual pleasure and emotional lift. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Farm watercolor, acrylic, graphite, and paper collage on bristol 23 x 19 “Farm” is a collaged piece using a mixed media combination of watercolor, acrylic, paper, and graphite with blocked shapes of color and organic textures. Tall grain silos, dark interiors of tobacco barns, gates, hay, pumpkins, wagons, and carts inspired this collage of an old SC farm work site. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Wright Barn photography: digitally enhanced 16 x 20 This is a photograph that I took on a walk near my home. It was late in the day, and the setting sun made the side of a barn glow. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Good Day Sunshine Acrylic on Primed Canvas 22 x 18 Organic shapes and the interplay of color and light inspire my work. After a 30 year span as a watercolor artist, I have discovered acrylic paint, and am loving it! Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Ochre Grey Seascape watercolor pencil on bristol 9 x 12 Seascape inspired by the subtle atmospheric conditions. While grounded in reality, it draws on the aesthetic traditions of minimalism, realism and remembrance art. Rather than presenting a factual reality, an illusion is fabricated to evoke realms of the imagination. I seek to establish a link between reality and imagination based on my interior response to a subject....create a place where fiction and reality balance. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Ridge in Mist oil on panel 6 x 6 This painting began from a photograph I took while hiking in dense mist, where everything from the trees to myself, was soaked and quietly dripping. The atmosphere was beautifully subdued, and the steady rhythm of dripping water felt almost hypnotic. Along the ridge, a lone tree stood resilient against the haze, its presence both subtle and striking. Something about its quiet strength drew me in and compelled me to paint the scene. Through softened edges and muted tones, I aimed to capture not just the landscape, but the immersive stillness and sensory experience of that moment. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Nesting linen, watercolor paper, acrylic, and archival glue 15 x 13.5 When I begin an artwork, I often use a method to stimulate my subconscious. It is a unique, reductive method I use for collages. I begin by painting patterns, textures, lines and spatters on a large sheet of watercolor paper or linen. I look at the painted surface, add more where needed, until images start to appear, waiting to be liberated from the chaotic background. Then I carve out the objects with a knife. It’s almost like drawing with a knife. When I have enough, I can start assembly, piece by piece until their shapes are fully realized. I use these instead of the found-images traditionally used for collages, such as photos, magazine pictures, etc. I can also adapt a similar version of this technique to canvases, without cutting. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Vibrant Poppy Glow - Scotland photograph on wrapped canvas 24 x 24 While walking through a Scottish garden, I encountered this extraordinary poppy growing and knew it had to be photographed. In Lightroom, I isolated the flower, blurred and darkened the surrounding garden to pure black, allowing the color and architecture of the bloom to speak without distraction. The ruffled white petals spreading wide against a pure black background draw the eye inward to the magenta-green center — a surprise that rewards the viewer repeatedly. That unexpected burst of color and design at the heart of something so classically simple is what makes this image compelling to me. I photograph flowers the way the Dutch Golden Age masters painted them: as they are, not as we might wish them to be. The shadows falling across these petals are real. The raindrops are real. I do not correct nature's imperfections, because they are not imperfections — they are evidence that this flower lived. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Sap Boiling Day oil on cradled wood 18 x 12 I see the possibilities beyond the real landscape in front of my eyes. Sap Boiling Day represents my experience boiling maple sap this year, the sun rising beyond the tapped trees and the ever-present massive steam plume partially obscuring solid objects. This is what it feels like to boil sap outside on a cold February morning. Instead of defining, I strive to suggest. My imagination filters every scene whether en plein air or in studio and connects my feelings about the scene to the color and design choices I make. My expressive and impressionistic style celebrates color and atmosphere and my work plays with those elements in representational rural landscapes. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Resilience oil on linen panel 16 x 13 In late January 2026 Upstate NY was expecting a huge snowstorm. The air was hushed and quiet. An injured deer was instinctively hunkering down in the snowdrifts that served as his only shelter, awaiting the onslaught. I was emotionally overwhelmed at the resilience shown by this vulnerable being, up against such brutal forces. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Love Shack acrylic on canvas 14 x 14 Capturing passion in the moment of young love was the intent behind this piece. Spirit, gesture and a tad of chaos. My acrylic paintings develop slowly through multiple layering. Tried and true elements of color, texture, line and shape never disappoint. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • One If By Land acrylic on canvas 12 x 15 I'm an intuitive, abstract painter, guided by movement and color relationships in my work. As I work, brushstrokes or applications of paint evolve into layered, overlapping shapes that merge and dissolve into floating, amorphous forms. Each painting is an open field for experimentation. I am delighted as surprises emerge and discoveries unfold, bringing constant new beginnings during my process and in my practice. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Cornered photography 20 x 16 My photography portfolios deal with beauty that I find in simple places. I search for art in places often overlooked by people rushing by: street abstractions formed by the effects of traffic and the erosion of painted lines; art in the visible layers of torn papers restructured by random anonymous participants; changes from weathering; oxidized rusted surfaces creating patterns and vistas; reflections in puddles, ponds, or store windows; ice patterns; simple arrangements of flowers and fruit at markets. And, as ever, there is the straight image: looking up, down, and around to catch that perfect image, THAT second in time never to be repeated. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Mexican Dancer digital photography, inkjet archival print 17 x 12.5 I've always loved photographing people, especially dancers. This was taken during a vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. There were several dancers in motion. I waited for this dancer to pause, then I took the photo. I was especially attracted to the bright colors in her dress and scarf. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Nesting sculpture: felted wool and glazed ceramics 7 x 9.5 x 1.5 My work melds ceramics and felted wool. My sculptural practice began with ceramics—initially, figurative and then abstraction. Recently, I started incorporating felt into my work—creating felt from raw wool and shaping that material into sculptures. I was drawn to the contrast between the soft, fibrous quality of wool against the hard, glazed permanence of fired clay. Although that contrast remains evident in my works, the materials also serve each other, creating a unity that is further enhanced by the use of color—an element that is intrinsic to both materials. In Nesting, a ceramic form is held within layered folds of felt. The wool drapes around it, creating a protective structure—the soft enclosing the hard, the yielding sheltering the fixed. Rather than treating the materials as incompatible, the piece creates a symbiotic relationship between them, bound together with color. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Helping Hand graphite, watercolor, acrylic on wooden cradle 10 x 10 I wanted to create a dialog with nature. Working on a wood panel I started to draw an outline of the hand but realized the unpainted wood would be the flesh tone and added shadows for dimension. I painted the bird with colorful watercolors and finished with flat white acrylic for a contemporary effect. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • You Will Outgrow Your Shoes sculpture: found objects 22 x 13 x 3.5 Relationship with Love (Family) Series...this piece was inspired by a song lyric: You will outgrow your shoes, but you will always be my baby. I think most parents think this way. I had the shoes, so as soon as I heard the lyric, I had my intention for this work. I have a daughter so this work was very personal for me and universal, thinking about all families. I used objects from different ages to create the narrative....diaper pin to engagement ring, skate key to car keys. The fan was given to me by a former student, and my daughter had a very similar one. So many stories, so many memories that we share. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • As She Lay Dying watercolor pencil on paper 18 x 22 After receiving a text from my brother-in-law, I sat at my desk and imagined my sister slowly losing her moisture into a cloud of personal symbols as her essence became increasingly infinitesimal like a stick figure Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • A Cautionary Tale freehand digital painting, archival pigment on canvas 16 x 20 In "A Cautionary Tale" we see a young woman becoming an elderly woman before our eyes. She has wasted her precious life, lost in social media for decades and decades. The phone has become distorted. On the walls the years overlap and melt from one year to another. The calendar also displays the emptiness of her life. This painting was inspired after reading several articles about how many young people spend an average of 6 hours a day on social media. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Fluffy photography: digitally enhanced 20 x 23 I had never seen a flamingo in real life, so I made it my mission during the Christmas holiday to find at least one—and I succeeded. I dreamed of capturing their graceful shape, poised stance, and, above all, their stunning color, yearning to be immersed in the beauty of their feathers. This past winter, that dream came true. I hope you, too, can delight in being enveloped by the rich texture and vibrant hues of this magnificent and exotic bird. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Blue Wall oil on canvas 14 x 18 Over the past few years, I have been painting still lifes completely from life, of trash and detritus left behind in my studio. Blue Wall is among the few pieces that represent the culmination of this project. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • And Effortlessly digital collage 8 x 8 This image is a duplicate, unpainted of a page of my artist book, "Lacrimae Rerum" (the tears of things). The title comes from the Aeneid and for me denotes the idea of the poignancy of the passing of time, that everything is in a constant of flux........ Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Powerplay oil on canvas 12 x 12 In Powerplay, motherhood emerges not as a quiet sentiment, but as a force field—dynamic, generative, and passionately alive. Vertical marks rise and fall across the canvas like figures in motion, reaching out, protecting, supporting. Color becomes a language of this amazing emotional journey. Electric blues and violets hold space for contemplation, while bursts of orange, red, and lime pulse with urgency, joy, and the unpredictable intensity of primal love. The surface is thick with revision, each gesture layered over another, mirroring the way the journey of motherhood is continuously adapted through the experience of raising a child. Everything is moving, as we learn and grow in ways we could never have predicted. Ultimately, this work is a meditation on the profound transformation that motherhood offers. It honors the way maternal love reshapes the landscape of the self—layer by layer, mark by mark. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Where New Light Rises oil and cold wax on paper 18 x 14 Thickly applied textures evoke seeds of change, while the bright orange symbolizes the burning away of what’s no longer needed. Inspired by the transition from the year of the snake (2025) to the year of the horse (2026), this artwork captures the energy of shedding the old to welcome new beginnings. Full of movement, depth, and a fluid, organic feel, it’s a celebration of transformation and fresh light rising—like the quiet turning of the seasons, where light gently reshapes the landscape within. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Where the quiet begins to speak acrylic on canvas with mixed media on canvas in a floating frame 12 x 12 As women we are taught to be quiet, until now when we must speak up. In a culture that still rewards polished images and fast takes, I’m drawn to making work that honors the in-between—the pauses, the rewrites, the moments when you’re quietly becoming someone new. This painting is part of that exploration: layered, imperfect, and emotionally honest. Beneath soft veils of color and scattered marks, a quiet rhythm gathers courage until the hidden voices of memory rise together and begin to speak. Small bursts of unexpected color build on one another like layers of memory, each mark a gesture of release rather than control. Scribbled lines trace the edges of thoughts that never quite became words, while delicate textures hint at stories just beneath the surface. This is one of two in a series, Unfolding Memories. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Turning and turning in the widening gyre collage: painted paper mounted on paper 11 x 7.5 My daily practice is to create a small collage every morning on awakening. Each is different, using different papers; some papers are painted like the ones used in this artwork, others are cut from magazines. The title is the first line of W.B. Yeats "The Second Coming". The work of daily practice makes it possible to face the day, which is filled with bad news at home an abroad. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Just Breathe... photograph digitally enhanced 12 x 12 I started working with a light box when I was diagnosed with seasonal affective disorder and I found sitting in front of a light box helped my mood and sleep. I started creating temporary collages and photographing and sharing them on line. I called them luminaries. I work with cut out figures and cut out designs, still on a light box, striving for balance, looking for harmony of shape and color. This piece is part of a series: 'Paper Dolls/Light Ladies, 2026. Archival paper and ink print. 1/1 Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Drumming Hands photography: digitally enhanced 20 x 16 Drumming Hands When taking this photo of a Gullah drummer, I purposely set a slow shutter speed to capture the blurred movement of the hands, while keeping everything else in the photo in focus. The hands display strength, endurance, and power, all attributes of the enslaved Gullah Geechee people. Originating from African traditions, music and drumming continue to be fundamental aspects of Gullah Geechee culture. Equipment and settings: Nikon D850, 300mm lens, f/11, 1/125 Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Salumeria Famiglia Bruno Venturini, Venezia, Italy photograph 8 x 8 My husband and I were walking around Venice and found this wonderful little store selling wine and gourmet pantry items. As I was talking with the proprietor I noticed there was an old photo of the store with an inset photo of a man which I was told was the owner's father.  I asked if I could photograph Venturinis holding the photo to document his family's long history in Venice.  Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Sentinel 1 fiber art 18 x 14 This Sentinel is a reminder that you are forever in the hands of the Universe. It is here to support and protect you on your journey. I have felt this for a long time and know that when things don’t go as planned, there is a reason. Sentinels have been inside each of us since childhood. They are there to remind us that we are safe and forces are here to look out for us and our loved ones. Mostly, these sentinels are here to remind you that YOU ARE LOVED. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Portrait in Blue oil on arches oil paper 12 x 12 Self Portraiture keeps me honest and in touch with the artist within. I have pursued this subject matter throughout my painting career. This piece was painted on Arches oil paper, entirely with palette knives, allowing a freedom with each stroke. The vibrant colors reflect a distinctively personal mood equal to that freedom. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Evening Sky oil on canvas 18 x 24 I am constantly in awe of nature. When I paint, I translate that magic and wonder into images of paint on canvas and I feel like time has never passed. I am always excited to challenge myself to express the beauty around me and that keeps me learning. As I paint, the constant challenges of creating my vision keep me forever young and I glory in the world around me as I did when I was a child. Painting my vision of the world makes me transcend my everyday reality. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
