Summer Small Works 2026

  • ColorPlay digital 15 x 13 Inspired by the power of light and color to energize and create a sense of joy and play, I use custom software to weave individual rays of reflected and refracted light into fluid shapes that visualize this powerful rhapsodic experience. The rhythmic interplay of color, form, and space create a dynamic poetic tension that is only tempered by a snapshot in time. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Vital Matter VI 10 x 10 oil on canvas The conceptual framework of my practice focuses on the reenchantment of everyday life and the buoyancy that arises through connecting with what has sacred meaning. The oil paintings reveal inner worlds as verdant spaces in which the garden becomes a metaphor for a flourishing internal world, where one may discover the well being and resilience that is cultivated when one is spiritually engaged. Each painting may be considered a portal to discover the magical, mystical and alchemical in everyday life. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Like Fogged Glass acrylic on artist board 9 x 11 This piece was inspired by the heavy weather generated by Lake Superior. Though it is a beautiful body of water, it is also incredibly dangerous, creating its own weather systems due to its size, depth and cold temperature. The weather is unpredictable and can change drastically in minutes. Fog is common (as shown in this painting) and the waves are very close together which relentlessly pound shorelines, along with shipping traffic, recreational boaters and surfers. Spending time on the water, or on its beautiful islands and shorelines, requires a strong sense of respect. It's a place that can inspire awe and trepidation. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • When You Sit Quietly You See Many Things acrylic on paper 13 x 13 An ongoing theme in my work is the interconnectedness of all life and that the wellbeing of humanity is directly related to the health of our natural world. With living in the woods in Maine and traveling extensively, I have had the gift of experiencing nature in many parts of the world. This painting was done in a small village in Japan while my family and I were traveling around the world. While sitting a very long time with my daughter on the side of a river we were able to observe this graceful egret. I strive to convey through color and brushwork what my direct experience is in a place. Over the past ten years, I have moved from realism to full abstraction. This painting is my early stages of abstraction in which I was loosening up by using a palette knife. My work comes from my heart and seeks to offer healing and hope. It is a vehicle to see strength and beauty and to connect with the infinite wisdom of the earth. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • What We Carry Unnamed acrylic and oil pastel on canvas with black float frame 13.5 x 13.5 My work gives visual form to the complex, often unspoken emotional landscape of women in transition —those of us moving between identities, roles, and expectations. It is a space that can feel both expansive and disorienting, where language often falls short. I paint the emotions women are taught to carry—but never taught how to name. Through abstraction, I hold what is difficult to articulate: layered, shifting emotional states shaped by transition, accumulation, and change. These works become a way of making visible what is usually carried in silence. My process is informed by years in a precise, detail-oriented profession where structure and discipline are essential. In my art studio, I loosen that control, allowing intuition, interruption, and emotional response to lead. This shift creates a visual language that balances restraint with release. Each painting is built through layered gestures—marks added, obscured, and rediscovered over time—becoming a record of both intention and surrender. I am drawn to the space where form dissolves and reassembles, where clarity and ambiguity coexist, and the viewer is invited to navigate rather than resolve. Ultimately, my work is about emergence: what becomes visible when layers—both seen and unseen—are allowed to remain in dialogue. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Turn Under Here collage 15 x 15 I attended a workshop in Portofino, Italy led by Nicholas Wilton. I spent the week creating small collages using acrylic paint, a wide variety of paper and images. My focus was on experimenting freely with size, shapes, color, design, movement, and emotion using my intuition to create a work that resonated and shallenged my audience. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Babushka oil 6 x 6 I am in third grade here, 1966, standing in front of our house in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, about to walk to school. My mother had just made me a triangular scarf, the kind every girl wore then. She took the photo that inspired this painting. I took the scarf off halfway to school… I didn’t want to look like a little babushka. This was my neighborhood, I knew every inch of it. When I painted it, I wanted to hold onto the feeling…the story of without being literal about it. The architecture is intentionally abstract, more memory than record. It was painted within the constraints of a 6x6” format, with a limited palette and a single brush so it did not become precious. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Pendĕre collage on canvas panel 12 x 12 Pendĕre is built through accumulation — of surface, gesture, memory, and response. Constructed from papers that were hand-painted, stained, textured, and altered by the artist before assembly, the collage embraces imperfection, erosion, and layering as essential elements of its visual language. Each fragment carries its own history while contributing to a larger emotional and rhythmic whole. The composition shifts between order and disruption. Gridded passages and repeated rectangular forms suggest architecture, mapping, or systems of containment, while darker gestural marks interrupt that structure with a sense of movement and instability. Areas of luminous rust, blue, and muted green emerge from an otherwise restrained palette like moments of resonance within silence. The title, Pendĕre, evokes both “to hang” and “to weigh,” suggesting suspension, uncertainty, and reflection. Circular forms appear as anchors or counterweights within the composition, holding tension between gravity and release. The work invites the viewer to move slowly across the surface, discovering relationships between texture, edge, opacity, and mark. Though abstract, the collage is rooted in lived experience and intuitive response. Fragments are layered much like memory itself — partial, altered over time, and continuously recontextualized. Pendĕre does not seek a fixed narrative; instead, it offers a contemplative space where balance and fragmentation coexist, and where meaning emerges through sustained looking. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • What Would Dorothy Do? acrylic, ink, thread, hand printed and painted paper, oil, wax medium 13 x 13 This piece began with painted shapes, collage, mark making, layer upon layer until the house images began to take shape. having just returned from a trip to Nashville, TN, I had seen many T-shirts and other souvenir items with the phrase: 'What would Dolly do?' when looking at my work as it neared completion, it reminded me of the house tossed in the tornado in the Wizard of Oz... So... Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Floral Notes with a Hint of Cranberry oil on panel 10 x 10 I paint what piques my interest. I've always gravitated toward color, sparkle and whimsy. It's fun to set up a still life, play with different elements and see what I get. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • It's My Party no. 3 acrylic, collage, crayon monoprint 13.5 x 13.5 In this series of mixed media collage, I was exploring the relationships between controlled and random shape making and layering affects from mono-printing using both thoughtful placement of the collage pieces and the discovery of random effects from the printing process. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Holding the Line soft pastel on sanded paper 10 x 10 Please use the description I used for the other work for the new pieces..OR for Tipping The Scales: The main purpose of all of my work is to blend the abstract with the recognizable by simplifying shapes and the using color that doesn’t necessarily represent the subject. Holding The Line uses minimal detail to represent a single tree holding onto it's place in the world. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Around the Park acrylic on wood panel 12 x 12 See previous art statement. Both works stem from the same inspiration and are a part of a series on places that have lodged in my memory bank. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Blast Off acrylic paint on 3 layers of plexiglass 12 x 12 My goal was to use the entire color wheel plus have depth. I achieved depth by painting on 3 layers of plexi and stacking the layers. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Legend of Golden Woman oil on canvas 11 x 14 Two hundred years ago, a legendary "gold-boiling city" known as Mangazeya existed in Siberia. Historical accounts mention a massive golden monument standing at the very heart of this city. The monument took the form of a female figure. Many indigenous peoples of northern Siberia lived under a matriarchal social structure and held a deep belief in nature spirits. It is possible that this "Golden Woman"—or *Golden Baba*—embodied the spirit of wealth and prosperity. As life in Siberia evolved and new trade routes emerged, the city began to decline. Eventually, Mangazeya vanished, and with it, the Golden Baba disappeared as well. While the era of matriarchy now survives primarily in memory, the legend of the Golden Baba lives on to this day. Many believe that the golden sculpture was hidden away somewhere, and they continue to search for it in the secluded depths of the Siberian taiga. Yet perhaps they are looking in the wrong place. It is possible that the Golden Baba is, in fact, a symbol of Woman—the very foundation upon which earthly life rests. She represents our grandmothers, mothers, and sisters—those who give life and protect it. I believe, a golden monument to Woman should be erected in every country; that would be truly fair. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Uplift cradled wood 12 x 12 the bird preparing for flight on the launchpad of her mind, waiting for the perfect moment to soar to the mosaic sun. I was desiring an energetic uplifting art piece and using one of my favorite stream of consciousness methods, I created a patterned background even before any ideas were in place. I let the shapes, colors and values guide me to the imagery and the overall emotion. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Still Life printmaking 5.25 x 5.75 Never having attempted the mentally challenging process of a reduction print, I wanted to try one. It requires planning ahead to layer the ink colors as one continues to cut the block, while making a limited edition after which one cannot go back and make any additional changes or repeat the process. Granny Smiths are my favorite apples, and happened to work with this roughly cut and printed, simple still life. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Wading in the Sea Grass soft pastel on sanded paper 13 x 15 I live by the seaside and am inspired by the beauty of the landscape each and every day. Soft pastel enables me to spontaneously capture color and movement with vibrancy. Hopefully, my images evoke that in the viewer. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Tsim Tsum digital collage 8 x 8 My work is always beyond (for me) description. Each image begins with a 'thing'. I then wait for the next 'thing' and the next........and always, there is a surprise! I must thank Yayoi Kusama, whose design I appropriated to use as the background........ Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Older Couple (The Extinct Birds) soft pastel on paper 14 x 12 This painting brings together two stories - my grandparents’ life and the memory of extinct birds. My grandparents on my mother's side were very much in love when they were young. They birthed and raised seven children together, and built a beautiful house in suburbs near Issyk-Kul' lake in Kyrgyzstan, where i was lucky to spend few summers of my childhood. I was very young then, but I remember them being older and rather quiet people. They didn't talk much, they were very kind and solid. They had a great history of their own. As story told, there was great love, big dreams, triumphs and falls, and they had every that every human being go through throughout their lives... But they are done now. They left this world as all beings do, leaving behind their herd, quiet memories and a few portraits of them. So did vanish these beautiful birds, whose images I saw in a museum of natural history, the old exhibition. These birds have been extinct now for more than 200 years. This work is my attempt to keep what time has already taken. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Lip Service in Blue oil paints, charcoal, paper, encaustics on wood 14 x 14 From the Delft Series: Born into a nomadic childhood, I moved every three years, each relocation driven by my mother’s appetite for new floor plans and color schemes. Though we never left Long Island, only shifting from one expressway exit to the next, each move reconfigured my sense of place. As a child, I accompanied my mother through model homes, where serious decorating conversations shaped how I learned to see. What once felt destabilizing became a way of organizing experience. My memories are color coded and archived by house number, interiors mapped alongside what unfolded outside their walls. Place, for me, is architectural and psychological. These paintings are anchored in the years we lived at 29 Weeks Street (Long Island Expressway, Exit 61), from 1959 to 1962, following our move from Queens to the suburbs. Inside, the house was governed by a strict blue and white palette: every room, every drape, every plate organized into solids and pattern, punctuated by green plants; reenforcing order, control and maternal authority. Outside the house, postwar prosperity and Cold War unease shaped daily life. The work forms a portrait of domestic aspiration, control, and place shaped through design. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Sunny Side Up found objects: vintage kitchen items 10 x 9 x 3.5 How many meals does one prepare in a lifetime? Sometimes it may feel just like a chore. I am thinking of Love Language and recognizing that cooking is one of the many ways we show our love for family, friends, and ourselves. Whether we are celebrating a holiday with a big family meal, making soup for a sick friend, or packing daily lunches, we need to recognize that it is an act of love. I imagine these small works hanging in a kitchen and reminding the cook/chef to smile and know their labor of love is truly appreciated. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Copper Waves fibers, glass beads, metal, wood, & found objects 6 x 4.75 I recently expanded my love for weaving and basketry into complete works of art that tell a story or are based on a theme on a small scale. I begin with a subject for the mini weaving and choose recycled materials to add to the work as as I go along such as glass, beads, raffia, metal and found objects. I do not preplan the design but rather let the objects and fibers determine the composition and direction of the work as I create it. My inspiration for Copper Waves is derived from the strata earth formations in our underground environment and the various metallic colors found there. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Shrapnel glazed ceramic and glass on metal frame 15 x 11 x 6 The news media affects us all, mankind creates weapons to harm people. Shrapnel bursts in the air and lands randomly, scattered all over, often times hurting and maiming many people. I create Abstract art forms that transform objects into works of art, providing the viewer a space of contemplation amongst the pain and violence around us. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • What Did You Say pastel 10.25 x 12.25 Animals are one of my favorite subjects. I love the texture of this dog's hair and I knew I wanted to paint him. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Curiosity oil on linen canvas 12 x 12 Magpies are seasonal residents at our farm in SW Colorado. They are widely considered to be very intelligent and close observation, proves this to be true. They are opportunistic and clever food gatherers. "Curiosity" was created to highlight the magpie, known for its intelligence and curiosity, and to symbolize communication and connection. In order to capture the serene beauty of nature through the lens of a striking magpie, I placed him perching gracefully on a branch. The bird's vibrant blue and white plumage contrast beautifully against the muted background. Delicate branches add a touch of elegance, and create a harmonious balance between the subject and its environment. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Geoff the Blue Jay fiber art 8 x 12 My work combines textile, stitching, and found materials to create layered assemblages that move between wall-based imagery and sculptural form. Through fabric collage, embroidery, patchwork construction, and soft sculpture, I build immersive environments and hand-crafted creatures that exist somewhere between observation, memory, and imagination. Nature serves as both inspiration and point of departure. Oceans, deserts, forests, birds, and animals appear throughout the work, not as direct representations, but as elements within imagined ecosystems shaped through texture, fragmentation, and narrative. I am drawn to the tactile language of fiber as fabric can suggest terrain, skin, history, and emotional presence simultaneously. Visible seams, frayed edges, and layered surfaces remain intentionally exposed throughout my process. These marks of construction function as evidence of transformation and repair, suggesting that both landscapes and living beings are formed through accumulation, adaptation, and change. The patchwork structures within the sculptural animals especially reflect an interest in resilience and identity assembled from fragments. My framed works often resemble windows into contained worlds, while the sculptures extend those worlds into physical space. Together, the pieces create an interconnected visual language where creature and environment inform one another. Ultimately, my work invites close looking and tactile awareness. Through layered materials and detailed construction, I aim to create spaces and forms that feel intimate, immersive, and open to personal interpretation. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Surf Side oil on board 9 x 12 Surf Side is a visual creation of the heat, sound, and smells associated with a visit to the shore. Juxtaposed to the forced planned unity of the red umbrellas is the variety of humanity whom enjoy the surf. It is a celebration of all that we share in common. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Oceanview watercolor 10 x 8 I've always been interested in and inspired by water, how it moves and flows, and have tried to express how it makes me feel in paint. For this painting I was thinking about the night sky over water and the vastness of both. Many transparent washes were applied in order to intensify and vary the color palette. I generally take anywhere from a few weeks to months to complete a painting, as I like to step away and return to a work with a fresh eye for correcting and improving my vision. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Paperbark Play 1 and 2 - diptych silverpoint drawing 10 x 14 Western Australia, home to innumerable intriguing trees, has one that enchants me - the Paperbark tree. Its multiple layers of feather-light bark, that peel off in shaggy disorder, are marked by wonderful striations and patterns... a world unto themselves. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • My Summer Friend watercolor, Inks, oil sticks, sgraffito on clayboard 14 x 11 Each summer, I return to my homeland and spend five weeks drawing and painting my natural surroundings and its creatures, especially the sheep on the Nature Reserve behind our house. Clayboard is particularly suitable for showing the various textures because it takes almost any medium. Rhys the Ram and his ewes are quite tame because they are used to people, so it is a pleasurable experience. This work is my attempt to keep what time has already taken. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Mermaid mixed media 14 x 11 This piece depicts an alluring mermaid sitting on a rock at sea. Made of a wood art board, paper decoupage, polymer clay, acrylic paints, Swarovski crystals, and sealed with matte polyurethane. The artist created unique images, including background decoupage paper, using text-to-image AI. Images were printed onto water soluble paper using a laser jet printer, then transferred to polymer clay. After washing away the paper, images were cut out using an Xacto knife, then baked. Clay images were hand painted after baking for enhancement. The wood art board was covered on all visible sides in the artist-designed decoupage paper. Artist considers herself a storyteller and uses symbolism in her art. Unique style is a blend of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Medieval, Contemporary, and Mexican folk art. One of only a few exhibiting polymer clay & mixed media artists to use a similar distinctive technique. Her art is her legacy, and she wishes to leave a positive legacy. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Garden Gossip oil on linen 14 x 11 This work was inspired by a beautiful rose bouquet that I set up in my studio. They all looked like a group of girlfriends or sisters chatting away in the garden. I could feel them communicating to each other and their combined fragrance was magical. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Searchlight acrylic on canvas 12 x 12 Light enables vision. In this piece "Searchlight", light dances in an out of the abstract 2 -D plane. Solving an abstract painting is more than a bit of searching. This complex process of searching is deeply satisfying. Can a simple surface take on the discovery and searching my own emotions. I think so. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Caffenaited oil on cradled board 14 x 14 Facial expression and gesture provide me the impetus to make art. This painting of a young man, a thoughtful young man with an expression in his eyes and mouth, having his first or second cup of morning java, invites us to wonder his state of mind. Choice of color and loose brush strokes add to the ambiguity of his thoughts. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Summer Bouquet oil on canvas 13 x 13 These flowers from my daughter's friends were such a bright and happy memento from a perfect May morning that I wanted to paint them to memorialize a day of graduating and celebrating. The multi-colored bouquet makes me think of a living rainbow, or flower fireworks. I used a combination of brush and palette knife, to create a thick impasto for the central yellow focus flower, and to show the solidity of the jar holding the bouquet. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Wisdom pastel on paper 12 x 12 I was drawn to the model’s profound gaze—she carries a quiet sense of mystery, yet appears intelligent and confident. I enjoy capturing my subjects using subtle but vivid colors, focusing on mood and personality rather than strict realism, allowing emotional presence to come forward in the work. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Magnolia oil paint on linen panel 8 x 8 This cluster of magnolia blossoms originated from trees at Huntington Gardens. I love the soft, muted palette of the petals with the burst of orange-red at the center. The tangle of branches with so many stages of blooms gave me a real compositional challenge. I tried to convey that profusion while keeping the eye anchored on that one fully open flower. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Airegin (music: Wes Montgomery, Airegin) oil pastel on paper 14 x 14 I created "Airegin" in response to/collaboration with the jazz standard of the same title, played by Wes Montgomery. The lively rhythms, textures and improvisational feel in the song inspired the active forms I used in the painting. The palette always begins with the colors I hear in the music, and I expand as needed to create a cohesive work. As an artist born with perfect pitch and synesthesia, my ability to 'hear' colors is a wellspring of inspiration. My abstract work explores various musical keys, tempi, rhythms, patterns and moods. As I investigate these varieties of musical palettes and textures, I work with a variety of media and techniques to best express the way I see-hear. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Two in the Mist oil on canvassed panel 10.5 x 8 This oil painting focuses on two trees, their trunks thick with delicate, fern-like moss. The perspective, taken close up, looks somewhat exaggerated, bringing the foreground tree forward while the second recedes, partially obscured behind it. A muted, misty background reduces contrast without feeling heavy, showing a whisper of the forms in the back. I was drawn to the quiet presence of the trees and the way they felt almost human, sharing the same experience in the damp, enveloping stillness of the day. This piece became a reflection of that experience: a sense of companionship found in the landscape, where the natural world feels quietly alive and responsive. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Big Tree acrylic on cradleboard 7 x 5 Big Tree rises in a gentle springtime landscape of emerging greens and yellows. Prominent, but integral to the composition. Subtle shadows and play of light are the result of an overcast day. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Tohickon Creek winsor and newton watercolor on arches 140 lb. 12 x 9 While hiking along this local creek, I was captivated by the lush green colors and the sparkle of the water. I knew I had to try to capture this enchanting scene. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Summer Sounds acrylic on cradled wood 14 x 11 I recently developed a series of gestural paintings and drawings that translate the experience of music into visual form. Gesture drawing has long been a favorite for me. It is meant to capture the mood, movement, and character of a subject very quickly and intuitively. There is a sense of awareness of what is happening in a single moment Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Morning Mist oil on gessoed panel 12 x 9 This studio painting is based on a plein air study of trees on a foggy morning along the coast of Maine. The colors were muted and the value range limited, conditions I find create unique opportunities for expression. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Morning Light digital collage 14 x 11 In my work, I explore the relationship between memory, emotion, and sense of place through contemporary landscape photography. I capture the scenes of my immediate surroundings and translate them into soft, ethereal, dreamlike vistas. My images often feature trees, distant hills, pink skies, children, tactile atmosphere and the moon. They convey an existence that extends beyond the physical realm and takes the viewer into my own dream world. My work has often been described as incandescent in both definitions of the word: glowing with luminosity and full of emotion and passion. My hope is that my body of work brings a sense of wonder, curiosity, and nostalgia to my audience, while inviting an opportunity to pause and perhaps see the magic and emotional subtlety in the familiar. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Landscape 105 oil on canvas 12.5 x 12.5 The Earth’s diverse surface is fascinating. The vegetative environments invite viewers to visit a place. Local light and atmosphere affect the plant life that thrives, the colors we see and experience of mood and energy. These paintings explore memory and landscape with complex spatial environments that hover between painterly realism and abstract passages. Raised in rural Wisconsin and moving to Florida and Texas in my first thirteen years piqued my interest in diverse landscapes and flora. Whether a mass of color blur or the focal point, each is recording its environment and time. My creative practice, focusing on materials and process, reflects my chemical engineering background. The bold use of initial marks that swirl through the backgrounds of compositions, echo and amplify the rhythms of the naturally created elements. Visual density from transparent to opaque are leveraged in creating organic textures. Color is a vehicle to convey energy from nature. This work is my attempt to keep what time has already taken. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Painted Water photography 8 x 10 Reflected light created a watery prism... contrary to the adage about water and oil not mixing - here they created a wonderful palate. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Ripened Pomegranates oil on canvas 15 x 15 I was inspired by the lushness in color and intricacies of form within the pomegranates Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • View From The Dock soft pastel on paper 13 x 15 This is an early morning interpretation of a dock on Rathall Creek in the marshlands that surround my neighborhood in South Carolina. This location changes color and mood based on time of day or season and is always visually intriguing to me. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Break in the Clouds encaustic on wood panel 9 x 11 “Break in the Clouds” finding comfort & strength in the good in the fields in the clouds in the light that breaks free around us This encaustic painting was created to provide a peaceful pause, a break to take a breath. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
