This piece began with painted shapes, collage, mark making, layer upon layer until the house images began to take shape. having just returned from a trip to Nashville, TN, I had seen many T-shirts and other souvenir items with the phrase: ‘What would Dolly do?’ when looking at my work as it neared completion, it reminded me of the house tossed in the tornado in the Wizard of Oz… So…
