Fists of Freedom acrylic, acrylic marker, & pen on canvas 10 x 10 The battle for equality is as old as time. We continue to experience the systematic dismantling of our hard-fought-for freedoms, even in this land we call ‘The Home of the Free’. Throughout time and history, women have led, educated, fought, conquered, ruled, and birthed nations. Be inspired to dig your heels in. This is a sliver of time, while not meaningless, a blight. It is a teaching moment. Like ephemeral work for us to paint over with the names of inspiring female leaders who will take us into our future. We learn from the past. We will remove the masks, learn the names, and change the laws. Freedoms will be granted. Leaders, crafted with care, will rise. A time for women to lead is here. This is not a question, but a demand. The world is long overdue for a nurturing hand of leadership and a woman’s touch. Helicopter Owl oil on canvas 21 x 17 I was intrigued by a newspaper story about an owl that flew into a helicopter mid-air and stayed for part of the ride. My imagined interactions and mutual observations of bird and human in this story was an irresistible invitation to paint it. Lesson Learned (My Octopus Teacher) acrylic/ mixed media on canvas 24 x 24 Two canvases side by side, with only different hues of blue in mind I started painting. No clear idea of a theme, no connection yet, only the joy and the struggles of the process. Half way through the painting an interview with the director of My Octopus Teacher on NPR guided me to an entirely different direction. Rarely I find myself being touched to this extent by a subject. Most of the rest of my journey I was in the flow, as if I were right there under the water with this wise guy. To the contrary of others’ suggestions I insisted not seeing the documentary until I finished the paintings. When I did who could stop the tears? No one. Especially the other of the two paintings, Save The Seaforest, made me believe I was living in this underwater world while creating. Conducting Strings in Color watercolor pencils and Neocolor 2 drawing on Rives BFK paper adhered to and varnished on cradled wood panel 24 x 34 Conducting Strings in Color captures the immediacy and energy of live performance through gesture and color. Working in mixed media, I suggest the motion of music through the movement of the conductor and musicians, allowing line, shape, and color to carry rhythm across the surface. The drawing seeks to translate sound into visual form—where marks pulse, overlap, and respond—evoking the shared intensity and fleeting nature of a musical moment. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

Nature Simulation fiber art 28 x 14 Nature simulation is the act of imitating or representing natural systems, processes, or phenomena through artificial means, typically involving computational models or virtual environments. If our human brains and bodies are also computers, our art is a by-product of that which comes through the mind and senses. This piece, through that definition, is like an algorithm -a set of instructions to decode nature. Still Wishing for Madam President mono-print with graphite, ink and pastel on paper 22 x 30 I work with my own image, something I can control to comment about those things outside our control. I started this piece on November 6, 2024, right after the defeat of Kamala Harris, which I found devastating. I wrote into it my feelings about the election and then my observations about the complete hijacking of our democracy by this current president. He represents a clear and present danger to us all. I had to write and draw my rage, instead of holding it in. I started with a photo polymer lithograph of a repeated self portrait, then drew and rubbed into the surface with graphite and pastel, ending with text, both hand written and stenciled in ink or graphite. I am still wishing…. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

Empty Chairs- yesterday's, today's, tomorrow's mixed media: oil on canvas, seed beads 24 x 24 Empty Chairs allow one to slip into the memories of someone who is gone and who has left an empty space in one's life. One knows that life is tenuous. Death is always the end product of life. To live is to die. All pondering on death is done by the living. All fear of death is felt by the living. Death is what makes life precious. Memories are what the living have of the dead. Memories are what enrich the lives of the living. This image is a non narrative exploration into empty spaces, empty spaces to be filled with memories. Considering the death of an individual leaves one to ponder the loss, the empty space that this individual has left for others-the living. The loss, the empty space, is what marks the death of the individual. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

Failed Escape mixed media: acrylic and paper on cradled panel 22 x 22 On a trip to Monaco, I was captivated by the intricate tilework on the walls, each tile a small masterpiece of color and pattern. As I studied them, I imagined secret lives beneath their orderly arrangement. What if the tiles were not fixed in place, but simply resting on the wall, free to shift and move? In Failed Escape, the tiles dream of slipping beyond the surface that confines them. They shuffle into new positions, test the edges, and try to break from the monotony of their daily view. But escape proves harder than they imagined. Some lose balance, some get stuck, and some end up where they began, a little worn but wiser. The wall becomes a stage for their search for change, reflecting a deeply human longing for freedom, novelty, and life beyond the pattern. Searching watercolor 13 x 13 When working in an abstract manner, my first priority is the color direction, I am interested in working with. As an intuitive painter, I let my mood of the moment determine where the piece is going. I then add elements of design and images, such as letters and numbers in a subtle manner, to enhance the visual process. I am also concerned about the range of values I choose, as I am also a high contrast painter. In the end, I am looking for a pleasing arrangement of shapes and colors that will pull the viewer in! Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

Three Graces before Entheon photograph: giclée print with archival pigment inks on fine art paper, artist-signed 36 x 24 On Halloween Eve in 2023, three women set out on a pilgrimage to Entheon, the visionary sanctuary designed by artists Alex and Allyson Grey. Before the journey began, we gathered in a small restaurant glowing with warm light, a threshold moment where anticipation quietly settled around us. The repetition of mirrors and reflected lights suggested positive manifestation, as if the space itself echoed what we hoped the journey would bring and affirmed our intention. Sadie watercolor and collage 16 x 20 Sadie was listed in early census documents as a dressmaker. Her husband died early and she made ends meet by sewing dresses for women in the community. She was skilled using a treadle sewing machine, sewing for others, and making quilts that keep her family warm even to today. The goal of my current work is to shine a spotlight on the often overlooked narratives of the women who came before us, aiming to shed light on their quiet yet significant contributions to society. Through my art, I hope to amplify the voices of the unseen, helping viewers to contemplate the profound resonance of untold stories and unnoticed legacies. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

Untitled acrylic on paper 14 x 11 My work explores color, movement, and emotional energy through abstract acrylic painting. Using bold palettes and flowing shapes, I build compositions that evoke joy, curiosity, and a sense of visual rhythm. My background as a professional chef strongly influences my approach to color relationships and layering—much like cooking, I experiment with combinations to create balance, contrast, and unexpected harmony. Each of my pieces develops intuitively through multiple layers, allowing shapes and colors to interact until a dynamic composition emerges. I aim to create work that invites personal interpretation while offering viewers a moment of visual pleasure and emotional lift. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

The Inner Game (A Game Without Witnesses) oil on canvas 24 x 17.75 "Inner Game" captures the silent confrontation between our instincts and control. Within the language of chess, the scene becomes an inner landscape, where the most decisive moves happen unseen. The woman here faces the chess knight not as an opponent, but as a reflection of her own power - raw, unpredictable, and not yet known. Her stillness is not hesitation, but awareness. In this unseen game, nothing is performed and nothing is proven. It's the moment she recognizes her own power before it moves. No witnesses. No victory. Just the beginning of mastery. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

The Chaos Within acrylic paint marker and ink on panel 12 x 12 Painted from life, "The Chaos Within" depicts a messy array of plants in a greenhouse. Bright corn plants in the foreground draw the eye into a darker mayhem of vines, leaves and flowers sunning themselves under a glass roof. I created this piece using acrylic paint marker and ink over the course of three morning sittings at Peckham's Greenhouse in Little Compton, Rhode Island. The title reflects not so much the subject of the painting but how I was feeling while creating it. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

Modern Odalisque digital painting fabricated to archival pigment on paper 13 x 19 A contemporary take on the famous reclining nude, which as painted by the great masters throughout art history, have always been female. Spring Garden Passage oil on canvas 24 x 18 I went to see an indoor art collection, but what also enchanted me were the gardens. I found this bridge in a parklike setting that featured pine trees and a lazy brook flowing gently to a larger pond. The main feature is the stone bridge which allows for the passage of time and wonderment, as to where the bridge might be taking the viewer. The bridge and the rocks have sharp geometric shapes compared to the softness of the trees and flowing water. To complement all the green trees, I began with a warm majenta color as a base and painted the trees in cool greens leaving flecks of majenta to show through. The play of warm and cool colors adds liveliness to this tranquil scene. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

Hope Springs Eternal alcohol ink on yupo paper 9 x 12 Hope Springs Eternal This metaphorical landscape painting is about navigating towards light into a place of hope as one finds a way out of the forest. It is inspired by a need and my choice to embrace brightness and positivity in the darkness and chaos that seems to hover over the entire world like an enormous dark cloud. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

The Portal in Noyers oil on linen 9 x 11 Searching for new inspiration, I spent a 30 day artist residency in 2024 at La Porte Peinte in Noyers sur Serein, in Burgundy. Described as one of the 100 most beautiful villages in France, it's slower pace and supportive creative environment was a portal that opened me to new possibilities, new energy, and more joy in the creative process that remains with me to this day. Fragments of Spring image transfer onto Japanese Kinwashi paper 12 x 12 "Lush gardens, majestic landscapes, and serene seascapes have always been a source of inspiration in my image making. Combining traditional photography methods with contemporary techniques enables me to record and reinterpret the world around me. I work on an intuitive level without a predetermined image in mind, and consider an image successful when it is transformed beyond the reality of the camera into a personal connection with nature. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

Summer Leaves printmaking: collagraph 15 x 11 This work explores the balance between control and letting go in the printmaking process. I began with simple gathered leaves, placing them onto the plate and running them through the press multiple times. Through that repetition and pressure, the forms started to shift—some areas held, while others dissolved. I’m drawn to how the deep greens and teals create a sense of depth and quiet immersion. Rather than depicting nature directly, the piece becomes a record of its imprint—where natural forms are both preserved and transformed through time, pressure, and material. It's a beautiful rendition of nature's best. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

Sap Boiling Day oil on cradled wood 18 x 12 I see the possibilities beyond the real landscape in front of my eyes. Sap Boiling Day represents my experience boiling maple sap this year, the sun rising beyond the tapped trees and the ever-present massive steam plume partially obscuring solid objects. This is what it feels like to boil sap outside on a cold February morning. Instead of defining, I strive to suggest. My imagination filters every scene whether en plein air or in studio and connects my feelings about the scene to the color and design choices I make. My expressive and impressionistic style celebrates color and atmosphere and my work plays with those elements in representational rural landscapes. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

Kailua Garden acrylic on canvas with added painted canvas elements 16 x 12 My work is about joy. It is about the practice of intentionally noticing and connecting with the beauty all around us. I feel a deep and soulful response to simple kind of beauty. It is profoundly personal. This is not about painting a pretty thing. This is a connection felt at a single glance. In addition to painting, I love the challenge of adding additional planes to a traditional painting and the intriguing results. I love the unexpected. I feel that it engages and draws people more deeply into the pieces. I feel so much joy in my work and I am so honored when others feel it too. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

Resilience oil on linen panel 12 x 9 In late January 2026 Upstate NY was expecting a huge snowstorm. The air was hushed and quiet. An injured deer was instinctively hunkering down in the snowdrifts that served as his only shelter, awaiting the onslaught. I was emotionally overwhelmed at the resilience shown by this vulnerable being, up against such brutal forces. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

Helping Hand graphite, watercolor, acrylic on wooden cradle 10 x 10 I wanted to create a dialog with nature. Working on a wood panel I started to draw an outline of the hand but realized the unpainted wood would be the flesh tone and added shadows for dimension. I painted the bird with colorful watercolors and finished with flat white acrylic for a contemporary effect. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

Nesting sculpture: felted wool and glazed ceramics 7 x 9.5 x 1.5 My work melds ceramics and felted wool. My sculptural practice began with ceramics—initially, figurative and then abstraction. Recently, I started incorporating felt into my work—creating felt from raw wool and shaping that material into sculptures. I was drawn to the contrast between the soft, fibrous quality of wool against the hard, glazed permanence of fired clay. Although that contrast remains evident in my works, the materials also serve each other, creating a unity that is further enhanced by the use of color—an element that is intrinsic to both materials. In Nesting, a ceramic form is held within layered folds of felt. The wool drapes around it, creating a protective structure—the soft enclosing the hard, the yielding sheltering the fixed. Rather than treating the materials as incompatible, the piece creates a symbiotic relationship between them, bound together with color. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
-
Layers of Strata & Light mixed media: acrylic paint and painted tissue on wood panel 13 x 13 I strived to create a piece that captures a dynamic stillness, where shifting planes and nuanced color relationships engage the viewer in an exploration of emotional and spatial resonance. My love of shapes and color are evident in this piece. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

Rebirth of the Awakening sculpture: white clay with 24k gold leaf 12 x 10 x 10 This sculpture was inspired by Michelangelo’s Slaves, whose unfinished forms powerfully express struggle, emergence, and release. I have always been moved by the way these figures seem to press outward from the stone, as if they are becoming visible before our eyes. That tension between confinement and freedom shaped my approach to this piece. In this work, I wanted to suggest a form in transition — emerging, resisting, and transforming. It speaks to endurance, vulnerability, and the quiet strength found in becoming. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
