  • It Needs to be Now Photo and pigmented beeswax combines on Kozo and wood panel Size of Piece: 20 x 16 x 2 I create fictional visual biographies that examine identity, time and memory. The imagery is a combination of abstraction and realism with a focus on metaphor and symbolism. Each of these mixed media works is composed of intricate layers of pigmented beeswax, photographs, and abstract drawings. The photographic elements are a fusion of reclaimed and reimagined vintage photographs, with my own digital photographs that I combine and repurpose to add narrative texture. I manipulate the image by exaggerating, adding and subtracting physical attributes to create illusory detail. I examine identity as it is constructed, obscured, and revealed through layers of history, memory, and transformation. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Lisianthus
photo and pigmented beeswax combines on Kozo and wood panel
    24 x 18
History comes to us incomplete, in fragments, half-remembered stories, and voices never fully recorded. I create fictional visual biographies that honor communities whose narratives have been marginalized or erased from official chronicles. Each portrait is an act of imaginative witnessing, making space for lives that might have been or should have been. This layered process mirrors how we access memory, peering through time with imperfect clarity, discovering how identity is constructed, concealed, and recovered across generations. These are deliberate fragments, not complete narratives: figures caught mid-turn, suspended between urgency and stillness, where personal experience meets collective history. I invite viewers to look through layers to recognize the rich tapestry of human experience that has always existed, waiting to be witnessed. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Falconi Twins (Second Violin, Principal Viola) photo and pigmented beeswax combines on Kozo and wood panel 36 x 24 I create visual biographies honoring communities whose narratives have been marginalized, erased, or never recorded. "The Falconi Twins" portrays the resilience of two women from my childhood town who defied societal expectations in the 1970s. These women lived together, posed as twin sisters, and dressed identically to evade the scrutiny of the conservative community. In truth, they were a gay couple seeking refuge in a world that struggled to accept them for who they truly were. This portrait is a fusion of orphaned vintage photographs, my photographs, abstract drawings, and antique ephemera in subtle layers of pigmented beeswax on Kozo. I replicated a solitary figure to create a twin, etched intricate patterns and sgraffito onto the platform, balustrade, and figures to weave a narrative of secrets and shared experiences that remain unreadable to outsiders. This is a portrait of the power of love, resilience, and enduring bonds. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Mixed Media Blue Girl Size: 30 x 24 These two paintings are part of a series of Blue Paintings I have done over the years. So this is not really a “Blue Period” a la Picasso, but a sustained interest in returning to blue over the years, from time to time. “Blue Girl” can be said to sustain one reading of the idea of blue, as in waking up with the blues, and going to bed that way too. “Blues Bird” refers to the idea of blue in its “blues music” musical context, which can include joy and vitality. “Blues Bird” also expresses my interest in texture and mixed media in my paintings, although I also think “Blue Girl” is also a painting that includes a sense of texture. • Pavel and Peter Throw the Bride to the Wolves Acrylic on canvas and wood Size of Piece: 8 x 12 This is a painting of an episode in a novel by Willa Cather called My Antonia. I’ve always been obsessed this Russian fable nested within an American context, and felt compelled to paint it. It is as if I could have no peace until I did it, and I am sure it expresses some kind of deep anxiety I have, probably about marriage or sexual politics or gendered vulnerability. • Land Mass

leather, acrylic paint, and spray paint on canvas

    Size of Piece: 9 x 12 x 1

Using leather in my artwork felt like a calling. I’m not sure where it came from, but I knew I was supposed to explore using leather in my work and see where it took me. I have fully leaned into it. I love working with the organic edges and unique shapes of the leather. I enjoy the challenge of arranging the pieces into a composition to tell a story or evoke a feeling or vibe.

  • Edith oil on Wood Panel 4 x 4 Portraits are immeasurably fascinating to me for their breadth of expression. They can articulate an expansive language of mood and atmosphere. They can convey intent, brashness or delicacy, anxiety or hesitation. A viewer can vicariously venture into the realm of a face to invent a story about a person. I wanted to make these portraits in a miniature scale, so to bring a viewer close in proximity to the individual moods of each woman. They are intimate in scale yet vigorously alive with thick paint. Each portrait is 4" X 4", oil on wood panel. Painted with tiny brushes, the portraits of these women nevertheless remain hugely present. They reflect an unshakable vitality immersed in atmospheric spaces. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

  • Stonefaced
    oil on board
Size of Piece: 16 x 12 x .5 This painting describes the extraordinary, reflective phase of my life and work. What began as a watercolor study of a limestone cliff developed into a painting that reveals an awareness of, and gratitude for, those who came before me. They were immersed in Welsh culture, so influenced by dark landscapes and skies. I have always seen faces in clouds and rocks but this time they spoke as my artistic ancestors, stubborn, wise, musical, poetic. But that was my past. My present is American, and my future is unknown, but this is an homage to endurance. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Persistence and Sisterhood
    oil on cradled board
    14 x 11
For their Graduation, my granddaughters wore white, along with the faculty and students. This tradition originated in 1909 to honor the Suffragettes. I used the concept to show the difficult climb that lies ahead, but, as both NAWA sisters and triplet sisters know, it is easier together.

  • Acrylics on Mylar Size of Piece: 20 x 16 x 1.25 As artists, we spend many hours in our studios. We are familiar with the concept of isolation. But at the same time, we also fuel our creativity in our outings away from the studio and by experiencing life and our surroundings to the fullest. This artwork was created in the middle of the pandemic...My heart was pounding hard, ready to explode with the necessity to express. I was ready to tell the world that I was alive and full of energy, love, plans and so much to do and say... I was bursting with creativity! And that is how this series called “Catharsis” started…

  • Crossing by Sealight mixed media
    37 x 18
My work focusses on themes of displacement, migration, and ocean voyages. Part of a series of work entitled ‘Crossings’, this wall-hung piece addresses the notion of a fraught crossing from one place to another. Physical gaps in these works, that appear to be filled with light or with stormy darkness, are spanned by delicate threads and illusions. • Ink, pastel, and color pencil on paper 40 x 22.5 in.   Ever since antiquity, astronomers have studied the 13 phases of Venus, from her rise as the morning star, to her descent into invisibility, and her re-emergence in the evening sky. These phases occur over a 19-month cycle, marking both a physical and a spiritual passage. I expressed each phase in a different work. The journey begins with Inception, passing through Gestation, Birth, Emergence towards Fullness and Self-Discovery. Then Immersion and Transmutation are followed by Rebirth, Remembering, Wholeness, Completion. My inspiration was a found ledger of observations of the 1874 Transit of Venus, a phenomenon occurring every 243 years when the planet moves across the face of the sun.   Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Journey to Self

    acrylic on canvas

    Size of Piece: 36 x 36 x 1.5

Journey to Self, Outside Another Box, and Twisted each explore the complex, non-linear paths we take toward self-understanding and growth. Through layered colors, shifting forms, and circular movement, these works reflect moments of clarity, resistance, and transformation. They invite viewers to consider the ways we navigate change: sometimes breaking free from boundaries, sometimes finding our way back to center, always shaped by the twists and turns that make us who we are.

  • Outlook Santorini Acrylic on Canvas Size of Piece: 30 x 40 x 1.5 Painting is a meditative journey for me, a way to process loss and transform grief into something vibrant and full of hope. After my brother passed away, I felt an urgent need to create—not just for the sake of making art, but as a way to heal. Through bold colors and expressive brushstrokes, I seek to uplift both myself and those who experience my work, showing that even in darkness, beauty and joy can emerge. In paintings like Outlook Santorini, New Day, and Flower Fields, I abstract natural landscapes to capture their essence and emotion. Outlook Santorini reflects the island’s peaceful vistas, translating its tranquility into layers of color and movement. New Day speaks to renewal and optimism, its light-filled hues evoking the fresh start that comes with dawn. Flower Fields is a celebration of nature’s energy, bursting with expressive colors that mirror the vitality of a landscape in bloom. • oil on canvas 48 x 48 x 1.5"
Primarily rooted in abstract expressionism, my paintings reflect an evolving universe where communication is less concrete. My visual language evolved with my own memories and experiences making up the stories I needed to tell through my art. This process-oriented work explores themes of the human condition, identity, and self-reflection. It takes me back to bright spots in my memory when I felt close to starting a new chapter and the decision felt right - it felt like the punctuating marks of time of a sunrise and a sunset. The promise of a new day and the magic light that happens at both hours.

  • Batik on silk mounted on canvas 40 x 30"
During my travels through Morocco, particularly in the enchanting city of Safi, I became captivated by the intricate beauty and cultural significance of their doors.  In Safi, doors are adorned with intricate tile work, reflecting the city's rich history as a center of pottery and ceramics. I never knew what I would discover as I rounded the corner in the Medina- the ancient walled part of the city. Through my photographs and batik paintings, I aim to capture the essence of these Moroccan doors—celebrating their visual splendor and the stories they silently hold, inviting viewers to journey with me into the heart of North African culture.

  • Tree of Life
    mixed media
    Size of Piece: 48 x 47 x 2
Inspired by the majestic oaks of Brookgreen Gardens’ Live Oak Allée, Tree of Life is a kimono collage that symbolizes endurance, heritage, and interconnectedness. Indigo hues reference the region’s indigo-growing history, while the kimono form, Japanese paper leaves, and repurposed fabric blooms honor both cultural tradition and environmental mindfulness. The tree, crafted from reclaimed denim, draws from the Japanese Boro technique of mending and reuse. Through this fusion of South Carolinian and Japanese elements, the piece reflects Brookgreen Gardens as a living bridge between past and present, nature and culture—a place where beauty and legacy deeply intertwine.

  • Whispers of Tradition
    encaustic
    12 x 12
Art embodies a dialogue between cultures, and my work serves as a bridge connecting diverse traditions through the lens of Japanese techniques. In this encaustic painting, I explore the intricate interplay of color, texture, and pattern, revealing narratives that resonate deeply with my love for Japan. What excites me most is the opportunity to share the rich cultural influences that inspire my creations. Each piece reflects a journey, inviting viewers to engage with the stories woven into the fabric of our shared human experience. I aim to evoke a sense of nostalgia and warmth, encouraging conversations about the beauty of cultural fusion. Through my artistic process, I strive to create works that not only adorn walls but also spark reflection and connection. By blending traditional Japanese techniques with contemporary motifs, I hope to inspire others to see art as a means of personal expression and cultural appreciation. My philosophy is simple: when I create, I want the emotional resonance of my work to endure, fostering a lasting impact on those who encounter it.

    Size of Piece: 9 x 12

Myriam Eberhardt, known as Mymi, is a self-taught abstract painter based in Jackson Heights, New York. Born in France, she began her creative path as a pastry chef before discovering painting as a more intuitive and mindful form of expression. Influenced by her sister, who studied at the Beaux-Arts in France, and her grandfather, an oil painter, Mymi creates vibrant abstract works in acrylic that celebrate color, movement, and emotion. She exhibits regularly at the Grand Bazaar NYC, the Artrider Fine Art Shows, and is an ongoing student at the Art Students League of New York.

  • My Supernova Brain II
monoprint, collage, acrylic, latex, UV pigments on canvas
    Size of Piece: 20 x 16 x 1
I had recently completed an edition of 20 works on paper that combined collagraph, monoprinting, linocut, and collage. The monoprints I created for this became the inspiration for new monoprints that I am collaging onto canvas for a new series of works. Combining newer techniques with more familiar ones have created "Supernova" explosions of creative concepts in my brain, which then expand into my studio with surprising and spontaneous results. • acrylic, airbrush, latex, ink on canvas 48 x 48 x 1"
Primeval Caprice is a conceptual abstract interpreting the both the repetitive, predictable patterning and surprising randomness of our biological world. As there will always be more to learn about the unseen that makes up everything, this work seeks to engage in a playful conversation with surprises that will reveal themselves in time. Recognizing that we are all "made up of the same stuff," my hope is that the visual connection viewers may make with the piece will plant the seeds for this awareness in other aspects of our lives, especially those that seek to sow division.

  • A Bright Future Lies Ahead... colored pencil: holbein colored pencil on illustration board
    22 x 19.5
My composition intertwines the realistic and fantastical worlds. This piece portrays the magical blend of childlike innocence with the spiritual power of illumination and self-awareness. The orbuculum is an object utilized in seeing things that would otherwise be invisible, yet with the eyes of a child, the world can be seen with an unfiltered genuine endless open mind, filled with joy, purity and void of self-consciousness. The fireflies and pondering orbs surrounding the young boy symbolize hope, goals, inspiration, guidance, creativity, self-awareness, faith, self-pride, knowledge and encouragement. Be intentional in the light that you seek in others and let your light shine so that others have faith in you. The light within us is the power of life. Let it guide an illuminated path to a bright and promising future that lies ahead… Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Conversation watercolor 30 x 22 framed size: 38.5 x 31 "Conversation" came to me as we were experiencing the pandemic. People were isolated and, in many cases, not able to speak to each other in person. As I painted, the skirt felt like a flag unfurling to encompass a dialogue among many people. I began to think about the wider meaning of this image as it related to a founding principle of this country. This great experiment called the United States of America was born of immigrants escaping a monarchy to live in freedom. Women of every color and creed--an underserved, underestimated, and overlooked population--constituted the spine of our nation, working tirelessly to shore up their families. They developed their own networks of communication, which eventually became systematized and even voted into law. The woman depicted here contains multitudes--depicted in her skirt, under the "flag" of protected speech. • Sisters watercolor and gouache on 300-lb cold-press Aquarelle paper 30 x 22 "Sisters" is about the sisterhood of friends. It's how we lean on other for comfort and wisdom, how we stick by each other through hardship and even joy. The bonds that women form as chosen friends are sometimes stronger than those we form with family. We know each other in special way that's to be celebrated. • Breezy 2
    printmaking
    15 x 15
This is one of many 'Moveable Collagraphs' that I’ve printed using cut shapes from many different textured and smooth materials such as sandpaper, tarlatan, magazine pages, string, cheesecloth and cardboard. I ink up the pieces, place them on a Plexi plate and run them through the press. Sometimes I will ink up the plate with color first and place the shapes on top or I will add Chine-Collé on top of the inked pieces. I almost always just do only one run through the press. In this piece I used sandpaper, tarlatan and cheesecloth on top of an inked up Plexi plate.

  • Gotham - Darkness and Light
    digital photography
    8 x 10.7
Experimental Photography - A Study in Light Motion There are streaks of colorful electric light running through the dark skein of the city at night. My photography unravels and exposes this conceptual light art. At times the movement captured is linear, at others a tangled interwoven abstraction; each marvelously expressive and evocative. My primary vocation is medicine, logic, my first love. Experimental light photography is passion, connection. The experiment started in isolation, during the height of COVID. I was trying to connect with the city around me. The neighborhood lights became a sign of life, something I needed to hang on to. There was joy and sorrow in the serendipitous finding of the images I created, some of which is reflected in the titles of my photo-painting prints. The experiment continues to date. Alchemic manipulation of camera shutter speed, aperture and ISO, creating painterly photo prints -“Photo-Paintings”. Look through my camera with me to discover New York, New York and Photography in a novel light.

A voice that is uniting and groundbreaking at the same time, appealing to our human nature. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • February in Forest Hills
    egg-tempera painting on prepared panel
    12 x 12
One fine morning I stepped out for a walk and was stunned by the beauty of blue shadows on the snow cast by lumonous February sun and the turquiose skies promising arrival of the spring. I made a quick plein air sketch, which was a base for this scrupulous egg-tempera painting.

  • Radiance (from Universal Mother Series)
    Intaglio
    12 x 12
I was contemplating the Divine Feminine and its iconography, and did not recall an explicit power symbol rooted in sacred geometry. A female counterpart to the Vitruvian Man, the image of the Aquarian Woman emerged while I was training for underwater swimming, practicing prolonged breath holding. Here in the zero gravity situation, my mind became very still and clear as the sunlit pool water. The name represents the Aquarian Age, which succeeds the Piscean with the passing of the millennium. I created a Universal Mother Series, expounding on my momentary but impressive vision. I have several versions of her, drawn, painted, and sculpted since 2015. This intaglio version was printed in the first days of 2026.

  • Legend
fabric on board, acrylic paint, graphite, stabilo
    15 x 15
My intention with this piece was to communicate feeling through its layered technique and color palette. My muse was a young girl who radiated mystery in her eyes. I blended abstract and representational style. I wanted to evoke the feeling of contemplative mood of my muse and used instinctual blending of styles. The overall effect I hope invites the viewer to linger on the muses’ expression and gesture

  • "Window Beyond" acrylic on board, papers, inks, stabillos Size of Piece: 16 x 16 x 1.5 When I began this piece, I had just put down some color and marks on the canvas. When a shadow from the window behind me fell across the surface. I liked the way the shadow portrayed the windowpanes. I let that moment guide the piece, weaving in layered paper to echo both structure and light. I often see the moon or the morning light as it peeks in whenever I am working and used this as inspiration. The result seemed to tell of a view from within looking out and wondering if the view from outside was as stirring as the view from within.
