gouache and mixed media on paper 46 x 35" I create abstract paintings on paper where color and chaos collide. Each painting weaves it way to its desired end. It is complete when it feels right. watercolor on paper 8 x 8" My artwork is inspired by the life I see in things like stains and cracks on sidewalks, La Marchande d'oeufs is based on a crack from a sidewalk in my home city of Providence. Like all of my watercolors, this one is characterized style by minimal lines and childlike shading. My process is not defined by preconceived ideas on my part, but rather one in which I listen to the stains and the cracks that call out to me.

drawing 9 x 12" The ink drawing of the Lumberville, PA Foot Bridge is a simplified, almost Zen like attempt to honor an early suspension cable bridge designed by John A. Roebling, the architect of the Brooklyn Bridge. Roebling was the inventor of the suspension cable and needed to test the cables to make sure they were strong enough to sustain a bridge. The first suspension cable bridge he designed was the foot bridge located in Lumberville PA. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between artist and buyer after the purchase.

watercolor & gouache 24 x 40 x 2" As winter fades and the season changes to spring in the tristate area of NJ, NY and PA the earth renews itself. It is like a resurrection of sorts that becomes apparent gradually. Spirits run high as the days get longer and the sun shines brighter. My work reflects the joy I feel during spring resurrection. My painting was created with watercolor and gouache on 140lb cold press paper and then mounted onto cradleboard with heavy gel medium. It is preserved with gallery series, Acid-free, UV protected, non-yellowing, matt spray varnish that also repels dirt and moisture.

oil, resin, intestinal lining on wood panel 80 x 36 x 2" My paintings blend classical techniques with avant-garde mediums and invite us to transcend traditional art's boundaries, encouraging a dialogue between the known and the unknown. I extract flesh from shadow, unveiling the unseen and inviting viewers into a world where the mystical and modern coalesce. In my work, I compose a space for introspection, where viewers can embark on a personal journey to unearth the hidden truths within themselves and the universe they inhabit. Painting becomes a ritual, a conduit for channeling raw and arcane forces from the depths of my subconscious. The deliberate use of texture and pattern engages the senses, compelling viewers to see and feel the complex interplay of elements within my creations. It adds a unique and visceral dimension to my work. The goal is not to elicit a singular interpretation but to create a visual moment that urges reflection on the profound connection between humanity, the natural world, and the divine. My work is a journey into the realms of the soul, where the sacred and the mundane coexist, and the boundaries between life and death blur. -
fresco, salvaged wood on panel 30 x 24" I’m constantly “puzzling” pieces together, whether in the studio, in nature, or in an urban environment; repeatedly picking things up and rearranging them. I’m fascinated with the interplay of contrasting materials and, at times, the contrast within those very materials. In this work, there is a juxtaposition of warm and cool colors, as well as warm and cool materials. There is also a juxtaposition within the elements, with the warmer colors in the cool, smooth texture of the plaster, and the cooler color in the warm, rough texture of the wood. From these relationships, a dialogue is born. I think this dialogue is what enables a work to resonate as both simple and complex, simultaneously.

Oil on canvas 60 x 48 in The Liana Moonie Award for an Innovative Abstract Landscape
-
oil on canvas 54 x 48 x 1.25" Immersing myself in my painting process, leaving no room for thinking, I work spontaneously in an intuitive moment-to-moment way without knowing what the end result will be. Then comes a moment when the whole thing comes together and an inner voice shouts, "YES!". It is done. Stepping back and fully taking in what has emerged, my deep response suggests a title that is surprising, something I never would have "thought" of, yet feels so right. My title for this painting is a phrase that the Japanese Zen Master Dogen (1200-1253) uses as a metaphor in his "Mountains and Rivers Sutra" to refer to the whole network of interdependent origination in which we are all constantly coming and going. The whole universe is continually changing and we are one with this movement.

pastel 23 x 29 x 1" I painted this pieces based on some photos I took while I was at a park which had a pond. There in the pond hidden in plain sight was this frog, half submerged in the water. The color and light drew caught my attention, but also the subject matter. As I painted the frog, it made me think about people and how we humans also hide in plain sight for similar reasons. Have you ever played "hide and go seek"?

glazed terracotta 15 x 11 x 9" Faith that nature will always rebound after devastation is my inspiration. In the throes of current natural phenoma: fires along the West Coast and miles of forest destroyed, floods, landslides, late season snowstorms paralyzing the Midwest, tornadoes... but with the conviction that all the negative is surely cyclical, I pursue my art -- aware, and hopeful that although the work may document the times I can convey the spirit of hope that golden days await ahead ---

Limestone 19 x 12 x 6" My sculpting is done as direct carving in stone -- meaning that the work is not meticulously preplanned, but proceeds as a collaboration between the artist and the medium. oil on canvas 24 x 20 x .7" When I was little, I thought that all people and animals are friends. I still think, that we are all together on this Earth moving somewhere. In my painting I wanted to show the beauty and power of a rhino, and a human, who completely trusts his rhino companion. I created a night sky background, to emphasize two characters. The road, that they are taking is foggy and radiant, to maintain a mystical experience. This artwork is one of a kind. Made with high-quality professional oil paint on a gallery wrapped canvas. Stone 22 x 12 x 8"I always had a love for creating sculptures out of alabaster stone. I worked with direct carving, finding inspiration in the coloration and the flow of the stone itself. My sculptures reveal the female form conveying a sense of movement with the subtle details of flowing fabric. My visions emerge from the stone as I delve deeper into its core and only truly know what will appear with the final polishing. I enjoy sharing my art and insist that people touch ans caress them as they learn what can be created from within a stone.

Hand-formed porcelain sculpture with an opal 7 x 6.5 x 3.5 in. I hand-form all of my porcelain nature-themed sculptures. I often create abstract or approach realism in my forms. I chose a fiery opal for this which recalls a tiny water drop on the tip of a petal. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

Sculpture 14 x 9 x 7.5"
All of my sculptural work is nature-themed with a focus on the sea and florals, both abstract and moving toward realism. My inspiration for this work came from my frequent visits to a beautiful spot of land—ocean on three sides-- with the same name, that juts into the open ocean. I submitted this because it is a special example of what I believe is the magic of working with porcelain—that I can bring it to wafer thin forms while turning, twisting and lifting it into organic shapes that recall the energy of the sea.

Painting She, Bright as Yellow 16 x 16 x 2 in. 'She, Bright as Yellow' moved me to paint. From corsets, panty hose, Skims and Spanx we are so often asked to constrict, to make smaller. Working from my series of underwater works titled ‘Coming Up For Air”, the painting included in this submission reflect on the notion of breath; fighting for and finding the space to breathe in. My work is a joyful reclamation. Through provocation, humor, and strength, I examine equality and personal truths through a contemporary figurative lens. I explore the complex ways we all navigate in the spaces that surround us, and how I hope my work emboldens women to take up space. mixed media painting using collaged hand painted papers 22 x 22 x 2" Excited by the way colorful shapes fit together, how a line on the surface can cause movement, the surprise of embedded bits of pattern -- my work is playful and energetic. I am almost completely concerned with how the elements of art come together to make a strong composition. Sometimes compared to aerial views, puzzle pieces locked together and urban grids, in my work, these are qualities sensed rather than seen. While the result is abstract, every piece begins with a reference – a concrete memory, sensation or even a photograph of a place I have traveled. For viewers, the experience is about creativity and curiosity, moving in close to see the layers, and asking themselves “what is this?” Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between artist and buyer after the purchase.
