When a Noreaster hits the New England coast in winter it is usually fierce. I was watching how far the breaking waves would dare to come. Rivers of water washed through the snow fence. As the water receded, the sky brightened and left behind this wonderful reflection in the sand. I was especially focused on the broken picket, then the wavering lines and the fan like fence in the foreground standing strong against the wind and waves. I could feel the back and forth tug between the man made fence and mother nature.
