oil on panel 26 x 20 x 2" The spark of inspiration for this body of work came from a stay in New York City, specifically in the Chelsea neighborhood. In the painting Chelsea’s Story, the vibrating, sunlit colors on the church spires were absolutely irresistible and something I had to paint in contrast to the rest of the building in shadow. I find this an exciting approach in my work, paying respect to artists I admire who have come before such as Edward Hopper, Charles Sheeler and countless masters. oil 38 x 40 x 1.75" This painting is the beginning of a new series limiting the color palette. It tells the story of living in a place I love. My inspiration is the beauty of the city that keeps moving amongst its iconic structures and deep shadows. Daylight is used to outline both the buildings and people. I have always been a fan of antique silhouettes. They illustrate a history of fashion and stature in the most simple form. Fast forward to my version of silhouettes 2023.

acrylic on canvas 48 x 65" When people get married, they are in love and feel like on the cloud. But marriage life takes a lot more than feeling good. It also takes resistance, keeping the promise, forgiveness, etc. My painting is composed to show the contrast between the love high and the reality of married life. "The Kiss of Rodin" is painted on the cloud as a symbol of a trance moment of love while holding hands over letters of troubles of married life showing the physical and emotional tie of a married couple.

Digital Photography 24 x 35 x 1"I've been drawn to this space since the opening of new addition to Swartz Hall at Harvard University. It's an entryway connecting the existing Swartz Hall structure (built in 1911) and contemporary addition (built in 2021), which creates incredible flow of natural light. As I came to photograph this space for NAWA submission "Depth Perception", I encountered a permanent display of an ahkukq/cooking vessel, created by Artist and Mashpee Wampanoag member Nosapacket (Ramona Peters). Indigenous presence in clay provided an additional dimension of depth, so I reversed the image and it became "By the Well".

leather, silk, brass 14 x 8 x 22" Inspiration/intent: painting by Andes Zorn "Isabella Stewart Gardner in Venice", 1894. In the spirit of creative risk-taking, Isabella Gardner continues her mission by inspiring my sustainability project "Enigma of Footgear". I create 3-D works with outdated designer footwear, which can be perfect media for installations and sculptures with strong public statement or enigmatic silence. Enigma of Footgear is what grounds us, what connects us to the earth, and what carries us around. Isabella moves with grace and spontaneity: picks up her shoe, drapes with white silk and crowns with jewelry. She lets her swan out in the Fenway of Boston to swim in the Muddy River.

Acrylic on canvas 20 x 20 in. When I was a young girl, my dad taught me to swim. He'd let me hold onto him as he swam deep underwater....and I loved that feeling of gliding through the water, holding onto him. I never could last as long as he could underwater, and I'd have to let go and swim madly up for air. Those are some of my favorite memories with him...swimming. When he died, I dreamed we were swimming together again, only this time I was the one swimming deep underwater and he was the one swimming madly to the surface...and this time he went far further than the surface.; he went straight on into the sky. I woke up missing him, but happy we could swim together again...even if it is in my dreams. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
