NAWA Annual Catalog Info

The NAWA Annual Catalog of the Annual Members Exhibit is a record of the continuing Annual Members Exhibitions. In 2025, it will be the 136th Annual. The print catalog serves as a record of the exhibit and an annual report of NAWA donations and participants. It comes out some time in the following year. Therefore, it is not distributed at the reception, and therefore is not a sales tool. The online exhibit on the NAWA website serves as a sales tool. The 2023 catalog was 97 pages. In 2024, it has 132 pages.

Catalog Contents – Front Section

• Lists the Mission Statement
• A brief NAWA history
• A list of past NAWA Presidents, Current Board of Directors & Honorary VPs
• Messages from the President and Executive Director, Chapter Boards and updates
• A list of all the awards from that year- both at the Annual Exhibit and the other online and in-person Exhibits for the fiscal year
• Bios of the jurors of the Annual Exhibition Awards
• A list of all the participants (exhibitors) in the Annual Members Exhibit.

Awards and Catalog Gallery Section

Submitted photos have been two to a page for the last few years (previously 2-3). The catalogs are 9×6″ and maintain a consistent design every year for members t0 store on their shelves. 

About 20% of the participants purchase “Catalog Gallery” representation. That doesn’t count the award recipients, who all get their images shown- (if recipients have paid the $60, they can donate it or be reimbursed). If you include the award recipients, 34% of participants’ images are shown. There are usually around 40-45 awards given. 

Back Section – (After the Awards and Catalog Gallery Images) Listed:

• ALL active Signature Members with their state of residence and their email address.
• Associate and Graduating Student Members 
• Long-time members are listed- from 30 years and up.
• In Memoriam- Members who have passed in the previous year (or NAWA just learned of their passing) 
• Signature Member benefits
• Donors: general, bequests, and award donations listed 
• Art Angels (those members who have volunteered 16 or more hours for the year).

Recipients

NAWA publishes about 1000 copies of the catalog. The following people get a copy shipped directly to them: 

Active Signature Members, Executive Board Members, Libraries and Archives, all donors, Corporate Members, Award donors and other general or memorial donors. There is no additional fee to receive the catalog- it is a benefit of membership or donation.
