mixed media 10 x 8" "Is it Me?" is a thought-provoking mixed-media work capturing the moment of self-reflection. It invites viewers to contemplate their sense of identity, self-perception, and their shattered beliefs. The title resonates with the concept of questioning and seeking truth while also expressing the vulnerability and uncertainty that can accompany such introspection.

mixed media 24 x 18" "Unheard" is a striking painting that features two female figures without faces on a bold red background. The absence of faces immediately draws the viewer's attention, emphasizing the idea that women's voices are often ignored and their identities are not fully represented in society. The red background adds to the intensity of the piece, conveying the passion and frustration felt by many women who are not listened to. The title "Unheard" encapsulates the central message of the painting - that women's voices are often silenced or disregarded, particularly those who identify with more traditional feminine roles. In a time where new identities and pronouns are celebrated.

Pastel on Paper 16 x 12 x 1"A stop on the bridge over the marsh at Sesuit Neck in East Dennis reveals a different outlook from day to day, season to season, tide to tide. On a memorable recent viewing, the water was rushing in a way I had never seen before. One could viscerally feel the motion and imagine being carried along to open sea.

Pastel on Paper 11 x 14 x 1"Walking the beach near my home on Cape Cod was a saving grace during the seemingly endless days of the Covid era lockdown. I was so grateful to have fresh air and space to breathe freely despite the threat of darkness everywhere. One had to hold onto the hope that the clearing was coming if we only could walk far enough towards it.

orange alabaster 12 x 12 x 5" Luminosity shines bright to get the attention of the viewer. Octopuses, with their three brains are brilliant and are on the top of the oceanic hierarchical chain. Their keen ability to sense their surroundings, the interaction with humans, and how they care for and defend themselves is a marvel. Luminosity was created to represent the importance of the ocean and her creatures. I , personally , have immense respect for these sentient beings. Man's interference has taken a toll on all these glorious beings. How can we understand the impact we have had and change what we have done?

poured watercolors, fluid acrylics & paper collage 28 x 24" Abstract painting is an opportunity, for me, to retreat into my imagination and paint with my “mind’s eye”. In recent years, the universe has been an intriguing source of inspiration. I watch from afar, wondering who or what is out there? For me, the big question is what path or door should I go through in order to better understand my place in a universe of spinning planets filled with other beings.

watercolors and fluid acrylics 24 x 28 x 1" This “Ghost story…” epitomizes the perpetuity of time’. A woman's experiences flow like water. Our adventures can be charted seen ebbing from the past and streaming towards the future. Tenaciously, we live and as we tally up experiences, adapting our stories to make our lives work, our memories resiliently swing from the past to become optical illusions for the present.

Carved pink alabaster 5 x 8 x 12 in. This small stone depicts a sweet moment in my life when I redirected my journey as a person, and started to truly immerse myself in my thoughts, desires and surroundings. I am shown half submerged, relaxing into the warmth of the vessel's water. The oyster refers to the sensual side of being a woman- luxuriating in a salty ancient essence. The choice of revealing a female form from the ancient material of alabaster was apropos. It was exciting to see the form slowly appear, yet relaxing as well. The mood of the subject and the approach in sculpting it are in synch. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

Painting Ambiguous Unseen 12 x 12 x 1.5 in. My recent paintings address buoyancy, levity, themes of duality and continuity, energy, fragility, microcosm versus macrocosm, and more. Indicative, expressive and meaningful qualities develop through the instinctive arrangement of colors and geometric elements. I am inspired by ideas from Suprematism, Constructivism, Dada, Synthetic Cubism, Conceptualism, Emblematic Surrealism, and American quilts. All thematic and visual exploration I do includes significant attention to color. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

acrylic with handmade imported paper 16 x 20 x 2" My art for a lifetime has been about the magnificent diversity of humanity and nature. The ‘Endangered body of work’ was begun fourteen years ago as it became evident that Mother Earth, the wildlife, and humanity are endangered from climate change, deforestation, overfishing, insecticides, pollution, poaching, and the effects of war. Mother Earth and Mother Nature are also often used metaphorically for women since many women find themselves in situations of endangerment globally. Tree of Knowledge I was painted with a burning tree because I feel deeply about all the women worldwide who are denied educations.

acrylic, archival repurposed artist's rags, 23.5k gold leaf 10 x 10 x 3" At eight, when studying oil painting, I knew I would speak through my art. I have always been passionate about the beautiful palette of human diversity and nature, but also empathetic to the struggles of humanity and the vulnerability of all life forms. My decades long art career has been dedicated to making art about these passions. I observe and research for each painting. Something as small as a fruit fly, a beautiful human head, or a magnificent winter landscape seen from the train as I travel between my studios in Pittsburgh and NYC can inspire a large, multifaceted painting that combines human diversity, Mother Nature, and often the global struggles of women.

Oil 14 x 11" I am friends with the delightful model Gazelle with whom I have worked for several years. While she is primarily a ‘nude life model’, she is a warm and creative person. When she sat down fully clothed in the crazy chair I have in my studio, she looked wonderful and the light was good, and the materials were new for me – cradled pine panel versus canvas, and a very limited palette – and viola, this little oil portrait was born. Both she and I were very pleased with the results.

photography digitally manipulated 12 x 15 x .8" "Ephemeral Waltz" is a photograph that captures the essence of fleeting beauty found in nature's blossoms. Using digital manipulation, I transformed an array of small azaleas into a single, ethereal flower with gracefully outstretched petals. The dreamy white color of the flower contrasts against the serene pale blue background, creating an evocative and harmonious composition. This artwork offers viewers a chance to immerse themselves in the enchanting dance of delicate petals and appreciate the transient, magical moments that nature provides.
