• Roses in the Studio egg-tempera 12 x 12 Roses in the Studio is a visual tribute to prosperity and creative freshness. This small, but fragrant bouquet juxtaposed against the backdrop of my non-objective painting "Summer Vibes” symbolizes the unity of realistic and abstract expression. The ancient and laborious choice of media, the egg-tempera, is my new fascination both in technical challenges and stylistic nuances. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Beyond the Horizon oil on canvas 12 x 16 x 1 This painting explores the human desire to see beyond the known. A solitary figure peers through a scope, searching not for a distant landscape but for glimpses of the future. Inspired by the spirit of invention and imagination, the Victorian-inspired aesthetic symbolizes a time when curiosity fueled discovery. The unseen view beyond the lens is intentionally left to the viewer's imagination, inviting questions rather than providing answers. The work celebrates the courage to explore possibilities, reminding us that every innovation and every new beginning starts with someone willing to look beyond the horizon. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • On a Golden Breeze ink and color pencil on vellum. 18 x 24 My work explores transformation and the fluidity of boundaries, both thematically and formally. This work on paper is suggestive of the abstraction of the processes of change and flow. It embodies the tension between the chaotic splashing and pouring of ink and a carefully controlled manipulation of color and line. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Toward the Light oil on canvas 24 x 36 Capturing the golden light ahead of me. That is what I strove for in this painting. I was in a bit of a dark space at the end of the winter, but I could feel the light changing as the earth turned toward summer in the northern hemisphere. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Edisto Seagulls acrylic 9.5 x 13 The winter at Edisto Beach presented these three breakfast club members searching the beach for a morsel. The blues and greys of the surf, sand, and black and white of the birds felt peaceful in the cold morning air. I used a limited palette to recreate the harshness of the weather softened by the delightful birds in the surf just doing their daily routine. The somewhat misty conditions blended the sky and water, darkening the tidal pools and piles of sand left from the receding tide. At times in winter, it is very isolated and private on this stretch of beach resort in SC. I bring the memory home to paint. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Shower Story oil on linen 24 x 20 I like to paint ordinary interiors, especially when there is the opporunity to infuse them with lots of color and add a drop of mystery. With this painting I had the chance to give the observant viewer a bit of a reward if they took the time to look. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Ice on the Ground, Boston watercolor 16 x 16 When I'm not able to travel to cold places, I feel lucky that I live in a part of the country that has a very good cold season. During my early morning walks, I take photos of the ice at my feet that has formed overnight and has caught all sorts of leaves, sticks, rocks, and other natural detritus in it. Painting these ice formations is an exercise in discovering the abstract in the reality. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • MODERN ODALISQUE digital painting 60 x 42 A contemporary take on the famous reclining nude, which as painted by the great masters throughout art history, have always been female. Here the guys take a break, relax on the couch, and become the object of desire — while the gals bring home the bacon :) Painted with a digital brush — a medium that like it or not, defines our age like no other. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Modern Madonna mixed media 36 x 36 Memories and dreams are often the subject and force behind my work. In this mixed media painting which is part of a six painting series, I explored the veil between the living and the dead. Art as therapy has guided my walk through the loss of a beloved sister and has also tenderly opened the conversation of this philosophy with others. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Fall Leaves oil on linen 24 x 30 x 1.5 A hillside of trees with colorful fall leaves was the inspiration, but I wanted to turn it into a total abstraction. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Dreaming While Awake in Havana digital 30 x 48 "Dreaming While Awake in Havana" translates the emotional landscape of Jose Marti's poem "Sueno Despierto" ("I Dream Awake"" or "Daydream") into a purely non-figurative visual experience. The work taps into the psychological weight of memory, longing and the ethereal nature of an idealized homeland. My composition relies entirely on form and texture to evoke the sensory memory of my numerous trips to Havana and experience of the crumbling built environment. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • ColorPlay digital 15 x 13 Inspired by the power of light and color to energize and create a sense of joy and play, I use custom software to weave individual rays of reflected and refracted light into fluid shapes that visualize this powerful rhapsodic experience. The rhythmic interplay of color, form, and space create a dynamic poetic tension that is only tempered by a snapshot in time. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Vital Matter VI 10 x 10 oil on canvas The conceptual framework of my practice focuses on the reenchantment of everyday life and the buoyancy that arises through connecting with what has sacred meaning. The oil paintings reveal inner worlds as verdant spaces in which the garden becomes a metaphor for a flourishing internal world, where one may discover the well being and resilience that is cultivated when one is spiritually engaged. Each painting may be considered a portal to discover the magical, mystical and alchemical in everyday life. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Like Fogged Glass acrylic on artist board 9 x 11 This piece was inspired by the heavy weather generated by Lake Superior. Though it is a beautiful body of water, it is also incredibly dangerous, creating its own weather systems due to its size, depth and cold temperature. The weather is unpredictable and can change drastically in minutes. Fog is common (as shown in this painting) and the waves are very close together which relentlessly pound shorelines, along with shipping traffic, recreational boaters and surfers. Spending time on the water, or on its beautiful islands and shorelines, requires a strong sense of respect. It's a place that can inspire awe and trepidation. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Dance of the Chimney Pipes 12 x 18 digital archival photograph sublimated to aluminum I am passionate about photography as an art form. In a world overfull with images, ideas, and messages streaming at us at warp speed, there is profound value in the thoughtfulness, the provocation, the silent aesthetic, the power of a single image made with the vision and ever evolving techniques of fine art photography. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Meadowlands 6.75 x 14 watercolor The movement of the watercolor paint and its interaction with water always fascinates me. Striving to direct the medium to express my thoughts and feelings is enthralling. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Star Gazing 36 x 36 acrylic, oil, cold wax on cradled wood In the first work, Star Gazing, it was part of a series of work during the Covid Pandemic. During this time of isolation where most of us felt far removed from family and friends with the fear of the unknown, I tapped into what we all could see collectively. We all as humans, during that time had the connection to the natural world around us and because we could literally look up into the sky and all see the same set of stars, it gave me hope that we would be okay in the end. Summer In Bloom No. 1: part of a recent series called Shifting Hours reflecting on the subtle changes that shape both nature and emotion—the quiet movement of light, the passing of time, the calm that follows chaos. Each painting begins with spontaneous energy and evolves into balance, mirroring the natural. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Apple Pie Dark 11 x 14 oil on canvas These two paintings began with the simple pleasure of setting up to bake an apple pie, but what interested me most was the contrast in how completely the mood could change with light. In one painting, the scene feels like morning: bright apples, pale colors, and the happy energy of creating something tasty. In the other, the same objects feel quiet and private, almost like someone is baking alone late at night. There is comfort in it, but also a little mystery. I love the contrast between the two—the airy, cheerful start of the day and the darker, more contemplative moment. That contrast is the heart of the pair, and I would love to see them hung together as a diptych. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Dark Hug of Time 24 x 24 x 1.75 oil and cold wax on panel Dark Hug of Time is a meditation on memory and the passage of seasons, rendered in oil and cold wax. The painting’s layered surfaces trace the slow fading and sharpening of recollections, much like autumn leaves fading in the light. Thick, tactile strokes rest alongside translucent washes, inviting contemplation of what endures and what quietly slips away. Created during a period shadowed by my sister’s illness, this work channels the complex embrace of loss—how memories overlap in contrasting layers, some vivid, others more elusive. The fall-inspired palette emerged almost without intent, reflecting the natural cycle of endings that make room for renewal. Through this piece, I sought to hold close the dark warmth of time itself, capturing its weight and tenderness in color and texture. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Flash 16 x 20 oil on canvas I like my art to vibrate, so use colors opposite each other on the color wheel or else light vs. dark. My images, though abstract, are inspired by Nature. Flash might be Lightning over water. Fire and Ice, are in direct contrast to each other as elements, and I have used hot red and cold blues to reflect this. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Animated Forms Variation VIII (The Inner Core III): Circle of Life Series 20 x 20 x 1.75 acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas When painting with acrylics I explore the boundaries between representation & The Inner Core from the Circle of Life Series is about nature's way of taking back & giving life to the earth, a circle of energy. Within this circle there is the power to find light in the darkness. To achieve this I used different values of neutrals in the composition. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Sunlit Leaves and Railing 24 x 24 x 1.5 oil on canvas These paintings were inspired by quiet moments of contrast in New York City, where life persists within heavily constructed environments. In Sunlit Leaves & Railing, light filtering through begonia leaves softens the boundary between ironwork and nature. In Surreal Perch, a black pigeon pauses on a rusted prism sidewalk in Tribeca, where worn industrial surfaces catch shifting color and light. My process begins with observing overlooked details and the way light changes them. I’m interested in the tension between organic and industrial forms—plants against ironwork, birds moving through hard urban surfaces, and shadows breaking up structure. I build the paintings through layers of paint and texture to capture the atmosphere of a place while allowing ordinary subjects to feel transformed. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

  • People at the Oculus 13 x 17 digital Photography, inkjet archival print I have been photographing for over 50 years, having started in the 1970s, photographing my young children in NYC. I've always loved photographing peopl,e and , in the last few years, become interested in the challenge of documenting people on the streets of New York. This is a spontaneous and unpredictable process, in an ever-changing street environment. My work has been exhibited in galleries, in NYC and Long Island, as well as museums on Long Island. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Bridge Over the Saddle River 6.5 x 10.25 watercolor The movement of the watercolor paint and its interaction with water always fascinates me. Striving to direct the medium to express my thoughts and feelings is enthralling. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Popsicles 12 x 18 x .5 photograph My photographic practice explores how opposing environments can reveal unexpected visual harmony. In this paired work, I intentionally juxtaposed land and sea, day and night, structure and fluidity. One image captures the rigid geometry of a reflective building photographed in daylight; the other records the soft motion of a distant coastline at night from the water. Though created in contrasting locations and conditions, both images are unified through deep blue tones and the transformation of reflected light into luminous white forms. I created these photographs to investigate how contrast exists not only in opposition, but also in connection—where architecture mirrors water, stillness echoes movement, and light becomes the common language between two seemingly separate worlds. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Annunciation 14 x 11 high resolution print on artist paper Inspired by Art History and socialized fears about Women's Health. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Spiridoula 8 x 10 photograph I was on a photo shoot in a rural town when I walked into a small restaurant. Passing the kitchen doorway, I saw a woman carefully peeling a bucket of potatoes. It was a humbling sight that instantly reminded me of Sunday dinners at my grandmother’s house. I asked her name, and she told me it was Spiridoula. When I asked to take her photo, she graciously welcomed me to do so. It was a very tender moment that connected me to a woman who rarely gets attention as she works in the back kitchen. It made me mindful of the importance of taking time to recognize these hidden figures, rather than overlooking their behind-the-scenes contributions, no matter how small they may seem. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Many Are Called 14 x 11 photograph When visiting New Orleans I went for a tour of the city's oldest one, the St. Louis Cemetery No.1. The ornate monuments, graves, and mausoleums are above ground due to the high-water table in New Orleans. I found it interesting that most of the statues were of women and there was only one male figure which I believe is important because women are strong and represent ideas like Faith, Hope, or Charity. This particular one is titled "Many Are Called" because it represents hope in darkness, my constant companions. It reflects the times we are currently experiencing in our country. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Georgia 24 x 18 photograph The Iiris is one of my most photographed flowers symbolizing one of my favorite artists Georgia O'Keefee. Her life and creative style have been a great source of inspiration to me in my artistic journey. Leading me to read her biography's and making pilgrimages to New Mexico to visit her home at Ghost Ranch, her permanent home in Abiquiu, NM, museum in Santa Fe, NM, as well as her residence at Lake George, NY. I make a point to visit her work at places and museums that display her paintings! Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Armored Silence 15 x 12 mixed media on handmade paper (artist-made from personal notes), glass, metal In Armored Silence, the central figure meets the viewer's gaze through dark lenses, her form layered with fractured glass, metallic edges, and textural depth. The work is created on paper the artist formed from torn personal notes: pulped, reconstituted, and shaped into a textured sheet using traditional paper-making techniques. This surface, infused with traces of private thought, becomes the ground for embedded fragments and hand-applied details. She echoes Alice Paul, suffragist, strategist, and architect of the 19th Amendment who stood at the White House gates for eighteen months in deliberate, weaponized silence, her stillness a gendered political performance against the systemic oppression of disenfranchisement. Due South Magazine Paul was arrested, imprisoned, and force-fed during hunger strikes. She endured all of it without surrender. This figure carries that same armored quiet. The composition reflects the eternal tension between self-protection and exposure, the moonlike orb and scattered shards suggesting inner landscapes in flux, a moment suspended between decision and action. She is not hiding behind the glass. She is forged from it. For 250 years, women have known that sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is meet the world's gaze and let your presence speak louder than any words could. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

  • Reaction 23 x 19 photos, colored paper and text on paper This collage is a comment on the political environment and how polarized we are as a nation. Women have lost their right to choose in many states. Racism and antisemitism are at an all time high. We solve our problems with guns. Respect for differences of opinion is at an all time low. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Attention 23 x 19 photos, colored paper and text on paper I see a world changing and not for the better. We are losing so many of the rights that we have fought so hard to achieve. There is so much more lack of respect for differences, hatred and gun violence today. And I'm so sad for our children and grandchildren to grow up in this environment. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Chelsea 20 x 16 polymer clay, Italian glass on wood Portrait of Chelsea wearing a dress that says "careful", inviting the viewer to ponder the half smile and wonder her thoughts. The subject and medium blends the traditional and the modern. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Summer in the City 24 x 20 oil on canvas This painting explores the relationship between an artist and the metropolis. It is a complex relationship. The city, with its cubic forms, the scarcity of nature on its streets, its frenetic pace of life and noise, its biting cold in winter and hellish heat in summer, enters into a complex interplay with the artist. It helps him, inspires him, and at times overwhelms him; yet, simultaneously, it prevents him from drowning in a sense of solitude. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Hadson Valley 22 x 26 oil on canvas This painting depicts Clermont Manor set within a landscape that captures the natural essence of the Hudson River Valley with its slow-moving waters and the unhurried rhythm of life in Upstate New York. The Clermont mansion is a historic site; Robert R. Livingston, a member of the Committee of Five appointed to draft the Declaration of Independence, resided on this estate. In this painting, I portray an idyllic union of human endeavor and nature. To this day, this mansion stands as a symbolic emblem of our conflicting aspirations, our desire for beauty and harmony with the natural world, alongside our attempts, whether intentional or inadvertent, to subjugate nature through the landscapes we have shaped. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Woman in the Mist – Leucantha Emerging 16 x 16 photograph on wrapped canvas Philip Grausman's sculpture Leucantha materializes through layers of mist at Grounds for Sculpture, embodying the threshold between presence and absence, substance and vapor. The interplay of light on solid form with the atmospheric veils creates a meditation on visibility and invisibility. For me, she speaks to every woman who has had to emerge — quietly, persistently — through the obscuring forces that would render her invisible. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Seesaw of Gender Inequity 12 x 18 photograph on wrapped canvas At the Medical University of Graz, Austria — an institution that has admitted women since 1900 and today hosts a Laura Bassi Centre of Expertise led by top-level female scientists — I encountered this sculpture and was stopped by its elegant simplicity in depicting a profound global truth. A seesaw. Two symbols. No words needed. That a medical school with such a history of supporting women would display this unflinching image of imbalance speaks to the work still unfinished. As the United States marks 250 years since the Declaration proclaimed "unalienable rights" for all, the seesaw has not yet leveled. This image is both a document and a question: how much longer? Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Mindful of the Next 7 Generations 18 x 12 photograph on wrapped canvas Photographed where Frederick Franck's installation stands on a hill overlooking Boulder Hot Springs, Montana, this sculpture — dedicated to the Great Law of the Six Nations Iroquois Confederacy — creates a meditation on intergenerational responsibility. Its nested silhouettes progress from light to shadow, each generation emerging from and containing the next. For HerStory250, it speaks to the women who carried forward the unfinished promise of the founding ideals, and to those who will carry it further still — generation into generation, into the smallest and most distant future. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Fortuna: The Uncertain Goddess Of Fortune 26.7 x 20 artbox, acrylic glass print My photography artwork presents an experimental take on light as movement, memory, and connection. I seek out the presence and beauty in city-light. For me the light inhabits a form which is revealed in its motion--a graceful dance of color, darkness, and radiance. I explore the power of light to create shape, define space, capturing a cityscape pulsing with life. Movement transmuted into images where light serves simultaneously as medium, social connection, and visual experience. The story of this image is in its form and its title: Fortuna: The Uncertain Goddess of Fortune. A fitting symbol of America at 250. No longer a land of opportunity, now more and more a land of caprice. Uncertainty, and therefore fear and anxiety, need not become the legacy of America and her-story. The power to restore the land of opportunity, for all, is in our voices and in our votes. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Simple Math: 1619-2026 = 407 24 x 18 pastel We have a real opportunity, at 250 years from our written constitution and the establishment of our government, to achieve honest equity and functioning justice. Let's go there together. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Artemis Reading Greek/CCL Seeking Democracy 26 x 21 pastel I'm always compelled by the many meanings in the way people present themselves. The book was actually a Greek text so the cloak might well have been Artemis' lion skin. But hunting, seeking what in 21st c. America 250 years after our founding? Justice, Equity, Democracy. • Bust 14.5 x 11.5 high res reproduction of page from collage book celebrating women The black, sumi ink drawing replicates an X-ray/mammogram. • Study for One Woman's Work: A Framed Portrait 26 x 22.5 ink, charcoal, watercolor Statement: The wall hung sculpture One Woman’s Work: A Framed Portrait is a somber image of a relative dressed in mourning muslin framed by a colonial house fragment, her work place. This large sculpture was planned using preliminary studies with different ideas. The drawing presented for the HerStory250, Study for One Woman’s Work: A Framed Portrait is one of them. In this preliminary the person is an image of a young woman from my family’s collection. In this drawing she is sad and is waiting for people to return from the revolutionary war. She is pictured within an ill-kempt house symbolizing that the caregivers are gone, representing time, and an eroded history, yet she remains dressed in vigil. Unlike the larger sculptural representation, no window guard, screens, or even glass appears in her unprotected state. As in the sculpture, hanging over this window is the colonial symbol for unity, the Betsy Ross Flag shown frayed by long term display representing the many years of wars. During our 250th Anniversary, her portrait is readable, may appeal to a library audience as a reminder of individual grief, and contains threads that strengthened my imagination about the other 64 women in my family who were dealing with the turbulence of the Revolutionary War and Colonial Period. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Mary Fields 24 x 14 x 13 plaster cast with applied patinas. Mary Fields is a historic figure, and emblematic of little known history of our black citizens. I worked from pictures and text about her, and modeling an image that shows her strength and determination. She was a slave and eventually freed. Mary worked for a Catholic convent, owned a restaurant, ran a laundry, and became the first women to be a US mail carrier. She was 6 foot tall , cigar smoking, gun toting and nobody messed with Mary - a true pioneer. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • From Olive Groves to Mountain Heights 30 x 30 acrylic, ink, graphite and image transfer on canvas From Olive Groves to Mountain Heights reflects on the journey from the olive groves of my family’s homeland to the landscapes of America, honoring the experiences of immigration, memory, and belonging during the United States' 250th anniversary. Through layered acrylic, ink, charcoal, and traditional Palestinian tatreez patterns, the work bridges two lands and two histories, carrying cultural identity across borders and generations. Abstract forms inspired by olive trees and mountain terrain symbolize resilience, transformation, and renewal, while celebrating how heritage continues to take root in new soil. The piece speaks to the enduring connection between ancestry and place, and to the many immigrant stories that have shaped America across generations Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Between the Lines 21 x 21 acrylic, ink, graphite, image transfer and thread on paper Created in commemoration of the 250th anniversary of American independence, Between the Lines honors the ways women have shaped democracy through collective care and shared resilience. Based on the Log Cabin quilt pattern, traditionally symbolizing hearth, home, and safe shelter, the work draws on the legend of Underground Railroad quilts as emblems of protection and guidance. Torn and reassembled paper fragments are stitched into a quilt-like field, proposing democracy as a living structure sustained not only by historic declarations, but by the solidarity, dignity, and strength passed from one generation to the next. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • They Went in Anyway 22 x 30 mixed media This drawing honors the eleven young women of the group known as The Norfolk 17. These were Black students who, in February 1959, integrated six previously all-white public schools in Norfolk, Virginia, after months of school closures enforced under the state’s policy of “Massive Resistance.” In defiance of the Brown v. Board of Education ruling, Virginia chose to deny education rather than desegregate. The students depicted are: Top row: Johnnie Rouse, Patricia Turner, Carol Wellington, Olivia Driver, Lolita Portis Middle row: Delores Johnson, LaVera Forbes, Geraldine Talley Bottom row: Betty Jean Reed, Claudia nh Wellington, Patricia Godbolt Out of 151 Black applicants subjected to deliberately discriminatory testing and interviews, only seventeen were admitted. The majority were girls. Supported by churches and the NAACP, these young women entered schools where they faced daily threats, spitting, physical assaults, and profound isolation. Yet they persisted, understanding that their presence carried consequences far beyond their own lives. Rather than depicting spectacle or confrontation, this work focuses on their composure, dignity, and collective strength. Their courage forced the reopening of Norfolk’s public schools and contributed to the nation’s ongoing struggle toward educational equity. These young women were not only students—they were agents of change, embodying the civic power of “Her Story” Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

  • Ode to Untamed Women 24 x 24 oil on cradled wood Using Women’s Suffrage sheet music in the National Archives and the colors of the movement (yellow, purple, white), this piece brings the past struggles and present challenges together with words and imagery. The sepia yellow sashes are filled with the chants and songs of the past, while the central bright yellow sash is inscribed with all of the worst thoughts and statements made about women today. The lighted focal box contains a simple message supported by the actions of the past: You Will Not Break Us, We Will Prevail. This lighted box includes a white extension cord and must be plugged in to light. Dandelions represent grit, perseverance, and finding ways to grow and survive even in the most unfavorable environments. Women of today can take hope and inspiration from our foremothers, despite all of the vile anti-feminist ideas bombarding us today. We will prevail. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Triptych: In Full Recognition No. 1 18 x 18 acrylic monoprints on paper This triptych uses the monoprint process to explore the delicate boundary between being seen and being forgotten. Inherently, a monoprint is a singular, unrepeatable ghost of an image—a fitting metaphor for the unique yet often marginalized lives of women throughout our nation’s history, particularly women of color in our national narrative. The fading image of the woman in resplendent headdress (In Full Recognition No. 1) represents the systemic invisibility and erasure that have long sought to diminish her power. As the image recedes over the second and third prints in the series (in Full Recognition No. 2 and No. 3), it also demands a more intentional gaze and prompts feelings of grasping to fully memorialize her before she is gone. What remains when a collective voice is suppressed? What reclaimed when we center HerStory? This triptych does not simply mourn collective loss for what could have been but aims to transform that loss into an empowered future where every woman is fully recognized and heard. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

• Fence2, When Girls Couldn't Play 24 x 18 In the span of a lifetime, one can only imagine, with the help of learned history, the span of 250 years. The submission here is a moment in one woman’s lifetime, a fraction of that history. The image is an intimate moment on the ballfield, focused on an attending sister, or daughter. The woman’s/girl's perspective is perhaps less noticed: sensitive and also seen or heard differently from the boy with the bat. Printmaking is also an intimate medium- a transference from a block or plate to paper and a transference of feelings into images, whether etched, carved in linoleum, or glued in collagraph. The joy of printmaking of original hand-pulled prints is that of the partially controlled and partly surprising result once run through the press. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Crosswalk5 hand-colored linocut print, soft pastel 15 x 17 In the span of a lifetime, one can only imagine, with the help of learned history, the span of 250 years. The submission here is a moment in one woman’s lifetime, a fraction of that history. The image is in the intimate moment of the street protest. The woman’s perspective is a response to what is seen or heard on the street. • Surf Side oil on board 9 x 12 Surf Side is a visual creation of the heat, sound, and smells associated with a visit to the shore. Juxtaposed to the forced planned unity of the red umbrellas is the variety of humanity whom enjoy the surf. It is a celebration of all that we share in common. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Blast Off acrylic paint on 3 layers of plexiglass 12 x 12 My goal was to use the entire color wheel plus have depth. I achieved depth by painting on 3 layers of plexi and stacking the layers. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Two in the Mist oil on canvassed panel 10.5 x 8 This oil painting focuses on two trees, their trunks thick with delicate, fern-like moss. The perspective, taken close up, looks somewhat exaggerated, bringing the foreground tree forward while the second recedes, partially obscured behind it. A muted, misty background reduces contrast without feeling heavy, showing a whisper of the forms in the back. I was drawn to the quiet presence of the trees and the way they felt almost human, sharing the same experience in the damp, enveloping stillness of the day. This piece became a reflection of that experience: a sense of companionship found in the landscape, where the natural world feels quietly alive and responsive. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Break in the Clouds encaustic on wood panel 9 x 11 “Break in the Clouds” finding comfort & strength in the good in the fields in the clouds in the light that breaks free around us This encaustic painting was created to provide a peaceful pause, a break to take a breath. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Babushka oil 6 x 6 I am in third grade here, 1966, standing in front of our house in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, about to walk to school. My mother had just made me a triangular scarf, the kind every girl wore then. She took the photo that inspired this painting. I took the scarf off halfway to school… I didn’t want to look like a little babushka. This was my neighborhood, I knew every inch of it. When I painted it, I wanted to hold onto the feeling…the story of without being literal about it. The architecture is intentionally abstract, more memory than record. It was painted within the constraints of a 6x6” format, with a limited palette and a single brush so it did not become precious. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Floral Notes with a Hint of Cranberry oil on panel 10 x 10 I paint what piques my interest. I've always gravitated toward color, sparkle and whimsy. It's fun to set up a still life, play with different elements and see what I get. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • What We Carry Unnamed acrylic and oil pastel on canvas with black float frame 13.5 x 13.5 My work gives visual form to the complex, often unspoken emotional landscape of women in transition —those of us moving between identities, roles, and expectations. It is a space that can feel both expansive and disorienting, where language often falls short. I paint the emotions women are taught to carry—but never taught how to name. Through abstraction, I hold what is difficult to articulate: layered, shifting emotional states shaped by transition, accumulation, and change. These works become a way of making visible what is usually carried in silence. My process is informed by years in a precise, detail-oriented profession where structure and discipline are essential. In my art studio, I loosen that control, allowing intuition, interruption, and emotional response to lead. This shift creates a visual language that balances restraint with release. Each painting is built through layered gestures—marks added, obscured, and rediscovered over time—becoming a record of both intention and surrender. I am drawn to the space where form dissolves and reassembles, where clarity and ambiguity coexist, and the viewer is invited to navigate rather than resolve. Ultimately, my work is about emergence: what becomes visible when layers—both seen and unseen—are allowed to remain in dialogue. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Lip Service in Blue oil paints, charcoal, paper, encaustics on wood 14 x 14 From the Delft Series: Born into a nomadic childhood, I moved every three years, each relocation driven by my mother’s appetite for new floor plans and color schemes. Though we never left Long Island, only shifting from one expressway exit to the next, each move reconfigured my sense of place. As a child, I accompanied my mother through model homes, where serious decorating conversations shaped how I learned to see. What once felt destabilizing became a way of organizing experience. My memories are color coded and archived by house number, interiors mapped alongside what unfolded outside their walls. Place, for me, is architectural and psychological. These paintings are anchored in the years we lived at 29 Weeks Street (Long Island Expressway, Exit 61), from 1959 to 1962, following our move from Queens to the suburbs. Inside, the house was governed by a strict blue and white palette: every room, every drape, every plate organized into solids and pattern, punctuated by green plants; reenforcing order, control and maternal authority. Outside the house, postwar prosperity and Cold War unease shaped daily life. The work forms a portrait of domestic aspiration, control, and place shaped through design. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Wisdom pastel on paper 12 x 12 I was drawn to the model’s profound gaze—she carries a quiet sense of mystery, yet appears intelligent and confident. I enjoy capturing my subjects using subtle but vivid colors, focusing on mood and personality rather than strict realism, allowing emotional presence to come forward in the work. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Oceanview watercolor 10 x 8 I've always been interested in and inspired by water, how it moves and flows, and have tried to express how it makes me feel in paint. For this painting I was thinking about the night sky over water and the vastness of both. Many transparent washes were applied in order to intensify and vary the color palette. I generally take anywhere from a few weeks to months to complete a painting, as I like to step away and return to a work with a fresh eye for correcting and improving my vision. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Lady May oil 9 x 7 My love for horses has no bounds. I look for the sculpted images formed by bone and muscle. This particular horse is named Lady May because she is so graceful and elegant in all her simplicity. She is named after an elderly yet elegant librarian in town named May. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Craftsman graphite, charcoal, and colored pencil on tinted drawing paper 9 x 13 These are my husband's hands. Old. Arthritic. But they continue to create, and make beautiful things from wood. I saw something touching in those gnarled hands as they used his grandfather's chisel to scribe a smooth shallow channel in a piece of reclaimed maple. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Sleeping In The Church digital photograph, inkjet archival print 14 x 11 I was with a group of people photographing in Cuba. We were in a church, when I noticed this man, with his head back, in a light coming from a window, which outlined his features in repose. I was struck by the beauty of the light and how it sculpted his sleeping face. Fortunately, I was able to capture this moment. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Turn Under Here collage 15 x 15 I attended a workshop in Portofino, Italy led by Nicholas Wilton. I spent the week creating small collages using acrylic paint, a wide variety of paper and images. My focus was on experimenting freely with size, shapes, color, design, movement, and emotion using my intuition to create a work that resonated and shallenged my audience. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Big Tree acrylic on cradleboard 7 x 5 Big Tree rises in a gentle springtime landscape of emerging greens and yellows. Prominent, but integral to the composition. Subtle shadows and play of light are the result of an overcast day. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Still Standing photograph 10 x 15 When I walk along the beach, I cannot help but wonder whether the pier will ever be reattached. The structure appears so very strong, especially when walking underneath. It is nearly impossible to imagine it being halved by nature. Both halves seem to exist on their own though they were created as one. I set up my tripod switching from place to place to enable the viewer to catch the 'cut' and wonder about the strength of each piece to prevail without the other. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Uplift cradled wood 12 x 12 the bird preparing for flight on the launchpad of her mind, waiting for the perfect moment to soar to the mosaic sun. I was desiring an energetic uplifting art piece and using one of my favorite stream of consciousness methods, I created a patterned background even before any ideas were in place. I let the shapes, colors and values guide me to the imagery and the overall emotion. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Slipstream oil on claybord 8 x 8 This abstract piece has many facets - the whiplash of the news cycle, the transient nature of life's moments, the wake of powered vehicles, and the speed of light. It was created in oil on "claybord" - Ampersand's substrate of clay that absorbs into the surface like a fresco. It carries multiple layers of paint that become richer with every application. It allows for marks and textures unique to the surface. The overall composition is both energetic and calming - as time passes it's both fleeting and timeless. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Saint of Wistful Dreams cabinet card embroidered with metallic gold thread and black thread 6.5 x 4.25 This work celebrates the women of the 19th and 20th centuries who nurtured and stood strong while maintaining no legal or societal rights while married as they were their husband's property. They lost all legal rights upon marriage. The idea of sainting them through embroidery on unknown images of the popular cabinet cards raises them to icons of strength, adaptability and resilience. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • It's My Party no. 3 acrylic, collage, crayon monoprint 13.5 x 13.5 In this series of mixed media collage, I was exploring the relationships between controlled and random shape making and layering affects from mono-printing using both thoughtful placement of the collage pieces and the discovery of random effects from the printing process. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • My backyard at Marnay sur Seine, France acrylic with acrylic texture materials on Canvas 6 x 12 One from a series of small works, I painting this painting during my professional artist residency period at the Camac Centre dArt located in Marnay sur Seine, France. The backdrop for this work was inspired the indigenous foliage that densely framed the Seine River which flowed from Paris to the Champagne Ardenne region of France. It was a cloudy day, and the color of the foliage dominated the water of the river which fascinated me. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Sam paper on canvas 12 x 9 I attended the outdoor, evening gig where this young man was playing keyboard. I was inspired by the halo effect created by the hot pink stage lighting behind him, as well as the movement created by the breeze. The subject matter in my work varies widely, because as in this case, I am often taken with a scene or an image and immediately wonder if I can capture it in paper, which is my only medium. There is no paint in any of my work. All the color is derived from the papers, in a non-traditional collage technique. Sometimes a single paper is just the right color, but usually several layers are required to achieve the right hue and intensity. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Sunny Side Up found objects: vintage kitchen items 10 x 9 x 3.5 How many meals does one prepare in a lifetime? Sometimes it may feel just like a chore. I am thinking of Love Language and recognizing that cooking is one of the many ways we show our love for family, friends, and ourselves. Whether we are celebrating a holiday with a big family meal, making soup for a sick friend, or packing daily lunches, we need to recognize that it is an act of love. I imagine these small works hanging in a kitchen and reminding the cook/chef to smile and know their labor of love is truly appreciated. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Copper Waves fibers, glass beads, metal, wood, & found objects 6 x 4.75 I recently expanded my love for weaving and basketry into complete works of art that tell a story or are based on a theme on a small scale. I begin with a subject for the mini weaving and choose recycled materials to add to the work as as I go along such as glass, beads, raffia, metal and found objects. I do not preplan the design but rather let the objects and fibers determine the composition and direction of the work as I create it. My inspiration for Copper Waves is derived from the strata earth formations in our underground environment and the various metallic colors found there. • Shrapnel glazed ceramic and glass on metal frame 15 x 11 x 6 The news media affects us all, mankind creates weapons to harm people. Shrapnel bursts in the air and lands randomly, scattered all over, often times hurting and maiming many people. I create Abstract art forms that transform objects into works of art, providing the viewer a space of contemplation amongst the pain and violence around us. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Airegin (music: Wes Montgomery, Airegin) oil pastel on paper 14 x 14 I created "Airegin" in response to/collaboration with the jazz standard of the same title, played by Wes Montgomery. The lively rhythms, textures and improvisational feel in the song inspired the active forms I used in the painting. The palette always begins with the colors I hear in the music, and I expand as needed to create a cohesive work. As an artist born with perfect pitch and synesthesia, my ability to 'hear' colors is a wellspring of inspiration. My abstract work explores various musical keys, tempi, rhythms, patterns and moods. As I investigate these varieties of musical palettes and textures, I work with a variety of media and techniques to best express the way I see-hear. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Tohickon Creek winsor and newton watercolor on arches 140 lb. 12 x 9 While hiking along this local creek, I was captivated by the lush green colors and the sparkle of the water. I knew I had to try to capture this enchanting scene. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Legend of Golden Woman oil on canvas 11 x 14 Two hundred years ago, a legendary "gold-boiling city" known as Mangazeya existed in Siberia. Historical accounts mention a massive golden monument standing at the very heart of this city. The monument took the form of a female figure. Many indigenous peoples of northern Siberia lived under a matriarchal social structure and held a deep belief in nature spirits. It is possible that this "Golden Woman"—or *Golden Baba*—embodied the spirit of wealth and prosperity. As life in Siberia evolved and new trade routes emerged, the city began to decline. Eventually, Mangazeya vanished, and with it, the Golden Baba disappeared as well. While the era of matriarchy now survives primarily in memory, the legend of the Golden Baba lives on to this day. Many believe that the golden sculpture was hidden away somewhere, and they continue to search for it in the secluded depths of the Siberian taiga. Yet perhaps they are looking in the wrong place. It is possible that the Golden Baba is, in fact, a symbol of Woman—the very foundation upon which earthly life rests. She represents our grandmothers, mothers, and sisters—those who give life and protect it. I believe, a golden monument to Woman should be erected in every country; that would be truly fair. • Chess.Alice etching. zinc plate. black ink on white paper 5 x 6.25 The first intaglio print I can remember seeing accompanied the story of Alice in Wonderland in a beautiful hardback edition, received as a gift from my Grandfather. As a child, I fell in love with the drawings and use of line to express form, shape, and movement. Still inspired by the classic tale, I created a series of mezzotint plates representing the beasts of Wonderland as seen through the darkness of memory. I continued that theme with this image, etched into a polished zinc plate and refined using engraving, drypoint, and spit bite techniques. Depicting an imagined scene from the other side of the looking glass, I sought to evoke a sense of ennui from the characters left in the quiet evening after Alice has departed. • Pendĕre collage on canvas panel 12 x 12 Pendĕre is built through accumulation — of surface, gesture, memory, and response. Constructed from papers that were hand-painted, stained, textured, and altered by the artist before assembly, the collage embraces imperfection, erosion, and layering as essential elements of its visual language. Each fragment carries its own history while contributing to a larger emotional and rhythmic whole. The composition shifts between order and disruption. Gridded passages and repeated rectangular forms suggest architecture, mapping, or systems of containment, while darker gestural marks interrupt that structure with a sense of movement and instability. Areas of luminous rust, blue, and muted green emerge from an otherwise restrained palette like moments of resonance within silence. The title, Pendĕre, evokes both “to hang” and “to weigh,” suggesting suspension, uncertainty, and reflection. Circular forms appear as anchors or counterweights within the composition, holding tension between gravity and release. The work invites the viewer to move slowly across the surface, discovering relationships between texture, edge, opacity, and mark. Though abstract, the collage is rooted in lived experience and intuitive response. Fragments are layered much like memory itself — partial, altered over time, and continuously recontextualized. Pendĕre does not seek a fixed narrative; instead, it offers a contemplative space where balance and fragmentation coexist, and where meaning emerges through sustained looking. • Painted Water photography 8 x 10 Reflected light created a watery prism... contrary to the adage about water and oil not mixing - here they created a wonderful palate. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • To Market basswood sculpture 14 x 14 x 8 I was inspired to carve TO MARKET after observing women throughout the world carrying heavy loads on their heads with apparent ease. For these women, transporting workloads in this manner is not only efficient but also a necessity of daily life—in both rural and urban environments. Within this necessity lies its beauty. My sculpture aims to highlight the quiet dignity and gracefulness of these women at work. My creative process began with making a small clay maquette of 3 women with varied gaits. I chose basswood as the carving material because its subtle grain pattern would not detract from the overall form. I also incorporated the base into the sculpture to convey the women’s connection with the ground they walk on. The final sculpture is sanded but unstained, my way of emphasizing the unadorned simplicity of the subject matter. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • No Cuckoos Here bronze sculpture 9 x 13 x 9 I frequently use found objects in my work. This beautiful burlwood bowl suggested a nest, and s many of the subjects of my sculptures are birds. I have combined the two in this piece. A graceful sycamore branch and leaf and three handmade wood bird's eggs tie the elements together in a graceful manor. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Summer Sounds acrylic on cradled wood 14 x 11 I recently developed a series of gestural paintings and drawings that translate the experience of music into visual form. Gesture drawing has long been a favorite for me. It is meant to capture the mood, movement, and character of a subject very quickly and intuitively. There is a sense of awareness of what is happening in a single moment Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Long View, Provence oil on panel 11 x 14 The Long View was painted as a small plein air piece in Provence in 2023. Since it is one of my favorite scenes I have always wanted to paint it in larger format. I like the one point perspective of this scene. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Midnight Refuge oil and cold wax on paper 13 x 9 This piece is part of a series where I explore the idea of what home means. A house is not a home until it is defined by its inhabitants who live, breathe, and create memories in that space. Layers of deep blues and textured shadows create a quiet, contemplative atmosphere, centered on a vertical beam of light that breaks through darkness - a subtle reminder of the comfort found in coming home. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Crescent Moon acrylic on paper 7.75 x 7.75 As a mostly abstract painter, sometimes images emerge from the paint. Often they are only fleeting and soon painted out but Sometimes they seem to make their presence known and become a part of the composition. As the Crescent Moon emerged, I was glad to acknowledge it and welcome its presence in this painting. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Late Summer oil on linen mounted on Raymar panel 9 x 15 This plein air artwork was completed on a breezy late summer day. I was accompanied by a friend who knew the owner of this northern Maryland farm, who welcomed those who recorded the landscape in art. The painting captures that landscape, which was full of movement from the constant breeze that enveloped the area, shifting color at a moment's notice. This painting is a dialogue of color and light. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Cloud Study watercolor on paper 15 x 13 I love clouds, and I love the challenge of capturing a mutable changing motif. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Morning Light digital collage 14 x 11 In my work, I explore the relationship between memory, emotion, and sense of place through contemporary landscape photography. I capture the scenes of my immediate surroundings and translate them into soft, ethereal, dreamlike vistas. My images often feature trees, distant hills, pink skies, children, tactile atmosphere and the moon. They convey an existence that extends beyond the physical realm and takes the viewer into my own dream world. My work has often been described as incandescent in both definitions of the word: glowing with luminosity and full of emotion and passion. My hope is that my body of work brings a sense of wonder, curiosity, and nostalgia to my audience, while inviting an opportunity to pause and perhaps see the magic and emotional subtlety in the familiar. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Tsim Tsum digital collage 8 x 8 My work is always beyond (for me) description. Each image begins with a 'thing'. I then wait for the next 'thing' and the next........and always, there is a surprise! I must thank Yayoi Kusama, whose design I appropriated to use as the background........ Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • What Would Dorothy Do? acrylic, ink, thread, hand printed and painted paper, oil, wax medium 13 x 13 This piece began with painted shapes, collage, mark making, layer upon layer until the house images began to take shape. having just returned from a trip to Nashville, TN, I had seen many T-shirts and other souvenir items with the phrase: 'What would Dolly do?' when looking at my work as it neared completion, it reminded me of the house tossed in the tornado in the Wizard of Oz... So... Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
