Where Social Memory Lands
charcoal and acrylic on stretched canvas
24 x 24

In “Where Social Memory Lands” a piece from my Layered Gaze series, I investigate how collective imprints are stored and shared using figures and liminal portals to bridge personal narratives and communal experience.

My process is an intuitive inquiry into the language of memory. Using charcoal and acrylic, the figures coalesce–sometimes through deliberate marks and other times by emerging from the canvas itself. These forms act as landing points for memories, representing the moments where our private stories meet a shared reality. Through this process, I acknowledge the power of these fleeting, narratives, inviting the viewer into a silent, collective history.
