This painting began from a photograph I took while hiking in dense mist, where everything from the trees to myself, was soaked and quietly dripping. The atmosphere was beautifully subdued, and the steady rhythm of dripping water felt almost hypnotic. Along the ridge, a lone tree stood resilient against the haze, its presence both subtle and striking. Something about its quiet strength drew me in and compelled me to paint the scene. Through softened edges and muted tones, I aimed to capture not just the landscape, but the immersive stillness and sensory experience of that moment.
