The Pursuit of Happiness

Quite often I think visually using symbolism that is, at times, idiosyncratic. In contemplating the idea of happiness I made a woman tumbling head over heels pursuing the blue bird of happiness, becoming a wingless, discombobulated creature with colorful clothes and a shopping bag for a tail, carrying a silver and gold house on her back and smiling broadly. Her head with an unruly hairstyle appears to be a strange, small creature when seen in its current orientation. The enemies of birds and true happiness surround her. They are her untamed nature. The blue Caracal will leap as high as a conclusion based on old trauma. The Green Snake is timid and high strung. The Raven is mischievous and holds grudges. The Sharp-shinned Hawk, the smallest hawk, is intense, aggressive and nervous, a bundle of rage.
