This piece is an exploration of floral forms placed in landscapes that can be forgiving or constraining. The landscapes of stones or surrounding beads are meant to explore the nature of constraint on the growth of the floral form. Does the floral flourish or struggle to live? In my mind the floral wins out and finds a way to exist within the constraints. We live in a landscape that pushes one to finds ways to flourish. My floral forms are a metaphor for human existence.
