NEWS + MEMBER EXHIBITS

In March 2026, the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA) returns for its third annual Women’s History Month exhibition, Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories. Continuing an enduring tradition, the venue for this year’s show is Vanda Gallery in New Rochelle, NY—an environment cultivated by a collective female vision.
Co-founded by Zahra Jlayer, the gallery makes its home in the heart of what is known as the “Vandalism” district. This identity is a creative reflection of the neighborhood’s transformation; what was once an area of tired streets and un-curated graffiti has been reclaimed as an artful district and cultural destination. This backdrop sets the stage for deeper conversations about the history we carry and the narratives we embody.

Through portraiture and creative expression, NAWA’s Signature Members explored the layers of strength and resilience that define the feminine experience. By translating the presence of these women into art, their stories aren’t just told, but truly honored, creating a bridge that keeps their narrative as part of the ongoing conversation long after the show closes.
