Signature Member:
A member who has been juried in, through one of NAWA’s semi-annual membership drives derives the full benefits of NAWA membership. This includes, but is not limited to Signature member-only Juried exhibitions, in-person and online, at galleries, museums, art centers, libraries & cultural centers throughout the U.S. Over $12,000+ is disbursed in awards annually. NAWA members and their work are cataloged in the NAWA historic archives in major art & cultural institutions and libraries across the US. Members have access to the educational programs offered by NAWA, as well as a specific website Member’s Portal. Members are included in the Member Directory & Member Gallery on the NAWA website and promoted on all NAWA social media channels.
Associate Member:
A category of membership that does not require being juried into NAWA. Associate Members are eligible to apply for any OPEN NAWA shows and are featured in a specific Associate Members show during the year. They also have access to the educational programs and the website’s Member Portal on the NAWA website. Associate members can also participate in NAWA’s projects and discussions as volunteers.
Graduating Students:
The third category is open to Graduating Students (BFA/MFA) who are imminently graduating from an accredited art school, college and/or university (they receive a courtesy acceptance and one dues-free year with the recommendation of a professor or department head, followed by reduced dues for 3 years if juried in).
Friends of NAWA:
A non-artist category for Friends and Supporters of NAWA. This membership category enables non-artists to join this historical organization and be notified of all NAWA events, programs, events and exhibitions and our yearly luncheon.
