Mixed Media Painting 20 x 20 x 1.5 in. This painting is part of the "Universal Us" series based on the notion that science and reason reveal that we are truly one with the universe. All physical things derive from the same elemental building blocks, making us ... all the same. This series depicts diverse beings (some from the imagination), traveling through time, space or our minds and joining together in harmony. In this painting, a Gong Fu figure formed by genetic coding, a tree like plant, and a landscape from another world, are separately and jointly ruled over by a symbolic law of gravity. digitally manipulated photography 25 x 19 x 1" Our hands are the most expressive part of our bodies, after the eyes. Being intensely emotional, I find it very instrumental in communicating with people. You can tell a lot about a person by how they move their hands while talking. In this photo collage, I depicted my hands flying all over the place, akin to the conductor's hand movement, creating a dynamic and vibrant image.

digital drawing on Wacom tablet using digital brushes: watercolor, charcoal, & pastels 15 x 20 x 1" Moonlit Magnolia represents one of my mental places where I go to do my profound thinking. The unobstructed watercolor background of teal creates this velvety feel that is almost tangible. The magnolia tree with its twisted roots is a metaphor for the thoughts on which the dog is resting (with the dog being a self-portrait) whereas the crescent moon is the obvious source of light that can be translated as hopes and dreams. Photography 12 x 8 in. With this photograph, I'm celebrating the Unique. I've been always drawn to the out-of-the-ordinary. The Satsuma Mandarin is a great example of one of my unusual findings. Despite the flower-like qualities of the hand it simply serves as a pedestal to support the main subject. The fruit is the hero of this picture. It's a portrait of individuality.

metal print with AI-assisted image 20 x 20" The Trust In Me series came about as a motivating manifestation. Like all artists, I go through the phases of extreme self-criticism. Moving to another city, to another country, you can’t help but start comparing yourself to others. You think you are not doing enough. You are not enough. In order to create freely you need to be connected with yourself. Spending more time alone and reflecting helps to hear that inner voice. Only YOU can know what to do next. I named each work in honor of women who in my opinion changed or magically touched the art world, As part of a series this work represents J. K. Rowling.

Morning Stretch 18 x 12 x in. I’m in love with the line. The language of line, delivered with a crashing landing on a page or the gentlest calligraphic curve, or a collection of marks, exudes a power and a sense of storytelling that is beautiful to me. It transcends the verbal communication. Drawing the human figure in line, connects me to my models and the stories that they tell through their poses. It is a collaboration- the model, the artist, the line. Line educates me, supports me, and excites me. It is the vehicle that tells my stories. acrylic, handmade paper, paper, graphite, pastel 16.6 x 20" Drawing from the live figure is an imperative part of my practice. The beauty of the female human figure never waivers. Using a figure drawing, drawn from life, an environment was created in the spirit of Matisse's odalisques. Her gaze is confident, yet sultry; exuding her confidence and power.

Painting View of the Pond Through the Reeds 20 x 16 x 1 in. I was on a plein air painting trip to the Brandywine area, and was inspired by the landscape of a beautiful Delaware park, which had a river running through it, and ponds with native grasses and flowers. It was a hot, humid summer day, but the vibrant green of the grasses and reeds beside the water were worth studying. There always seems to be joy in the way wild vegetation grows next to water. I wanted to communicate that sensation. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

Photography 7 x 5 in. w/frame 12 x 10 in. As a photographer, spending time in nature’s wildlife habitats can result in either missed opportunities or getting a perfect image. The morning I visited Donnelly Wildlife Preserve, I hoped to photograph marsh birds along the water’s edge. As I drove along a dyke, I saw a unique shaped branch shooting out of the pond that would make a good landing spot for avian subjects. I set-up my tripod and camera, with 500mm lens, to aim just at the top of the branch. Then I chose my camera settings so I would be ready to snap a photo if a bird landed there. I was ecstatic when, about 30 minutes later, a Belted Kingfisher perched on the branch. I often hear Kingfishers when out near marshes, but is difficult to see them; and photographing one is even more so. Capturing this photo made my day. photography/digitally enhanced 24 x 18 x .5" Inspiration for this art piece comes from the poetry of Lisa Hammond. Her poem, titled “Three Fish” is of three very different fish - a wood carving, a bream, and a necklace pendant. Her poetry speaks to the world of nature, which aligns with my wildlife photography. While still figurative, this is the first photo I have exhibited that is not a living, breathing subject. I purposely developed each fish at differing exposures to express their individuality.
