  • Women in the Sticks
    carved cedar with branches
Size: 36 x 50 x 6.25 I work both 2 and 3 dimensionally and always with the female figure often layering the form with marks or in this case branches. These two figures represent my love of ancient forms, natural environments and are to allude to the spirits I encounter in the woods. Lastly, as a child I lived in a rural place, which my friends all called “the sticks” so I have come back full circle to my origins. The figures are carved cedar 5 x 5 x 36 inches and the branches reach and shroud and surround them. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

  • On the Edge
    mixed media on canvas
    Size: 12 x 12
I wanted to create a portrait of an edgy older woman. To accomplish this, I collaged a variety of media on a brightly painted background, which I think resulted in visual drama. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Shimmer Bloom
    mixed media sculpture
    Size: 24 x 12
I create mixed-media sculptures. Materials play a significant role in my work, using recurring items like yarn, fabric, and flowers. Some pieces have sentimental value, such as my grandmother's old fabric and things I pick up from nature, like wood, flowers, and rocks, that give me fond memories of a place I visited. Also aware of overconsumption, I blend discarded items, like paper and plastic, giving these waste items a new life instead of throwing them away. I toss these items around to see what I can build and make connections with items that usually don't belong together. With all the materials colliding, they start connecting and creating their own environment. My work becomes chaotic and playful, but I see things connecting as a whole. I feel a sense of peacefulness and magic when materials merge. I think of worlds uniting or how I can build a better one. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Portrait of Arielle
    pastel on sanded paper
    Size: 10.75 x 10.75
Portraits are very special to me because they are a window into the soul. I love to look at a person's face and engage in the possibilities of who they are. Putting Arielle in an abstract background, just colored lines, lets the viewer image who she is.

  • Other
    graphite on 300lb archival paper
    Size: 19.5 x 29.5
The drawing "Other" refers to the deep divisions in our world today and the way we see and fear each other. While the work obviously refers to immigrants and the physical U.S. border, it also refers to the invisible psychological, emotional, and cultural wall that divide and separate us. I made the chain-link fence appear significantly thicker, sturdier, and with much smaller openings than a typical fence. This was to enhance its sense of impenetrability. I wanted to contrast the cold hardness of the metal with the warm softness of the human skin that touches it.

  • Blaze of the Brook
Linocut block print and soft pastel on paper
    Size: 18 x 12
This piece merges my love for printmaking and soft pastels, blending a Lino block print with pastel painting to create movement, line, and vibrant color. The Lino block was carved through a reduction process and printed on UART pastel paper, allowing the texture to enhance the contrast between bold lines and soft, blended hues. I chose bright, non-local colors to guide the pastel work and amplify the piece’s energy. The combination of these media expresses vitality and fluidity, capturing both structure and spontaneity. This work reflects my ongoing exploration of how printmaking and soft pastels can interact to evoke powerful emotion and dynamic form.

  • Icy Dawn Oil on linen panel Size: 16 x 12" I was on my way to the gym at dawn for a swim workout when I noticed the sky and its reflection on the frozen lake. I stopped to take photos and took color notes of the magnificent scene before me. I was inspired to paint this, of course, but this experience also inspired my day. I was reminded how important it is to be present and appreciate every moment. That was a great day! • Dreaming Acrylics on Mylar Size of Piece: 20 x 16 x 1.25

As artists, we spend many hours in our studios. We are familiar with the

concept of isolation. But at the same time, we also fuel our creativity in our

outings away from the studio and by experiencing life and our surroundings

    to the fullest.

This artwork was created in the middle of the pandemic...

My heart was pounding hard, ready to explode with the necessity to express

myself. I was ready to tell the world that I was alive and full of energy, love,

plans and so much to do and say... I was bursting with creativity!

And that is how this series called “Catharsis” started…

    Gold Leaf Gilded Photograph
Size: 4 x 4" The vintage look of the d'Orsay Train Station converted to the Musee d'Orsay in Paris inspired the gold leaf vintage treatment of the image. • A Stroll Through Giverny
    oil painting
    Size: 14 x 11
“A Stroll Through Giverny” reflects my experience visiting the village of Giverny, where the morning light infused the street and gardens with a luminous warmth. Moved by the beauty and vibrant colors of the village where Claude Monet lived and worked, I sought to capture not just its appearance, but the peaceful, joyful feeling it evoked in me. • Scars of the Earth
acrylic, ink, gold leaf marker on linen
    Size: 24 x 24
Scars of our Planet is a dialogue between our planet’s crisis and my creative expression. We are leaving the earth imbalanced with natural disasters happening for more frequently. This painting is symbolic to those, fires, droughts, and scars that we are leaving behind as our planet continues to warm, and extreme weather is more common.

  • Piece of Cake
    Colored Pencil on Paper
    Size: 14 x 18
A visit to the Art Institute of Chicago where I enjoyed viewing pieces of art that depicted food inspired this painting as did my love of gastronomic delights like this piece of cake. I work in colored pencils because they lend themselves to the expression of my realistic style as detail work is possible. Color can be vivid, as the pencils have the intense pigment of oils combined with the transparency of watercolor which allows for layering. Food art like this should make you hungry. Finally, I want the viewer of my art to say, “That’s colored pencil?” And yes, I ate the cake!

  • Lilacs
    acrylic on canvas
    Size: 30 x 30
Since I was a kid, growing up in Queens, NY in the 1960's, I have loved LILACS. We had beautiful lilacs growing in our yard. My sister and I would rush home from school and run to the LILACS and plunge our faces into the luscious blooms. They were cool, damp and so fragrant! Today, I am nurturing my lilacs I planted a few years ago. Waiting, waiting, for the blooms! I used many shades of violet, lavender and blues to recreate those sensual flowers.

  • Sold
    oil, ink on canvas
    24 x 36 x 1"
Painting en plein air, in Rhinecliff, on the shore of  the Hudson, by the tracks where Lincoln's death train passed, I make my humble, everyday watercolor and consider carefully the way that two lines of infinite length seem to connect on the horizon, I think of the thousands and thousands of young men who died all can be equal in America. I seem to see the ghost of Lincoln, shimmering on the event horizon, "With the tolling tolling bells' perpetual clang, Here, coffin that slowly passes, I give you my sprig of lilac." - Walt Whitman I turn to the East and see an everyday field, no big stuff, nothing picturesque. My heart is in tears, exquisite America, I love you.   Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Secrets Among Blossoms Acrylics and Watercolor on Aqua-board Size of Piece: 36 x 24 x 1.5 Secrets among Blossoms- Life is a canvas splashed with unexpected twists. Those who master the art of embracing uncertainty and forging ahead are the ones who truly survive. Each heart is a wondrous chest, overflowing with secrets. The outward beauty may enchant the eye, yet beneath the surface lie veiled wounds and hidden mysteries. Frozen Blooms- is about the quiet toll of life’s hardships. The woman holds a bouquet of flowers—symbols of beauty and hope—but she doesn’t seem to feel their warmth. Her gaze is distant, her expression unreadable, as if the struggles she’s faced have left her numb. The deep purple tones wrap around her like a lingering sadness, while the bright yellow background reminds us that life’s warmth still exists, even when it feels out of reach. This painting speaks to those moments when we carry beauty in our hands but feel unable to embrace it, when the weight of our past makes it hard to see the light ahead. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • 2 Fer Photography Size of Piece: 24 x 36 I started my artist’s journey copying images of greeting cards in pencil before I was called to dinner. My creative family of engineers, milliners and dress designers/fabricators. impacted by my artistic endeavors. • Judith Carlin
Freehand Digital Painting, Pigment Print on Canvas
Size: 32 x 40" "My Worlds Are Colliding" is a freehand digital painting which means every stroke is painted by me as if I were painting with a brush on canvas. This painting is a metaphor for the public, private and secret lives we each have. We try very hard to keep these worlds compartmentalized. No matter how hard we try, many times our worlds will collide with each other and cause chaos within our lives and others. "My Worlds Are Colliding" addresses our currently polarized society. Not only our individual public, private and secret worlds crashing into each other but the worlds of others being revealed to us can be life changing and dangerous. • Spring Fling
Encaustic on cradled panel with embedded collage
Size: 24 x 24" This work joins a series of encaustic works musing on the meaning of “security”. I use the interior patterns of security envelopes—used to protect our financial information—in hexagonal shapes that suggest traditional quilts—maybe security blankets. This work includes the use of India ink. Now that our assumptions about Social Security are being tested it seems appropriate to think of this work as “Spring Fling” —the double meaning of having security flung to the winds in an ortherwise heady season. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • She's Falling Apart

  • No! Your Rights!
Acrylic, Watercolor, & Ink on Canvas
Size: 10 x 10 Mexican-American badass Yovita Idar knew when to say, “NO!”. This piece is intentionally created with several types of media in layers. Her biography is placed on the sides of the canvas, allowing the viewer to see events in her life that took place on both sides of the U.S. border with Mexico. A faint border line meanders on top with stars indicating cities for geolocation. This piece celebrates the incredible spirit of this distinctive woman who knew her rights and spent her life advocating for others. “No! Your Rights!” is designed with the hope that it will be placed where a spirited child will look into the eyes of this fiery soul and be reminded with confidence that they are on the right track. Yovita was a journalist, activist, suffragist, and the kind of leader we can all aspire to be. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

  • Reflections
    oil on canvas painting
    Size: 11 x 14
After years of working directly from Nature, I have turned my gaze inward, where I have discovered these magical visions. A love of Nature is still always present, and a reverence for Mother Earth abides in my soul. It is as though, during all those years of painting the view from the outside, there were these reflections growing within. Now, I wait quietly for these images to come up--sometimes, the results surprise even me.

  • Small Islands Series #2
    acrylic glaze on gessoed paper
    Size: 24 x 30
I am inspired by my immediate surroundings: landscape, architecture seascape, skies or an object …all that convey a unique quality not only in their own appearance but in how they reflect surroundings and project unique energy in that context. It’s that impression that remains and asks to be recorded. The sparse style and subtle tones of each work reflect my deep bond to the vastness and simplicity of nature which I seek to translate from the purely material to the realm of the transcendental with a layering of transparent tones. My subject matter can be seen as a diary of locations visited which convey both a nostalgic memory of the simplicity and restorative effects of nature which have become increasingly overlooked in lieu of technology and as a future documentary comparison.

  • Hana
ink, charcoal, acrylic, pencil on paper on canvas
    Size: 12 x 12
From my series of Faces from another era. I use equal liquid charcoal, charcoal, ink, graphite and acrylic paint, so it is hard to quantify which medium describes my work. The drawing of the face emerges from the surface using Chinese Ink, liquid charcoal, graphite, gold paint, acrylic and gesso on Chinese paper on canvas. The deep black of the liquid charcoal passages is a contrast with the sensitive softer graphite lines. Capturing feeling and expression with the use of line and passages of black is the essence of my work.

  • But He Died Collage and acrylic on panel Size of Piece: 24 x 24 x 1.5 Inspired by the beautiful rolling foothills in Umbria, Italy, this piece captures the energy and heat of summer in this area. My work comes in bursts of spontaneity—bold, colorful, and full of energy—yet created in a state of complete calm. I'm delighted when the unexpected emerges. Those surprises excite me and guide the pieces to their final forms. I’m inspired by both the wild freedom of the abstract expressionists and the sharp clarity of the precisionists, always searching for a balance between the two. Every piece is an adventure, a conversation between instinct and intention, a process that is intuitive, driven by curiosity, and open to the unexpected. • New Heaven
    digital print on metal
Size: 18 x 24 As a digital fine artist, my primary focus is on conveying biblical context through the use of flower characters.By integrating divine words with the form of flowers, I create a unique blend of art and spirituality. My work is further enhanced by the simulated backgrounds, which serve as a stage for the spiritual imagery drama I aim to portray. • Retooling the Mills
acrylic paint, fabrics, cork, bobbins, yarns, wire
    Size: 24 x 18
Imagine the magnitude of quickly reviving the old mills across America to retool for speedy manufacturing. It seems such a monumental task, that took a generation to build the first time. Growing up in New England I was surrounded by textile mills, some still working, some newly converted to restaurants and shops. Here's my take on attempting the modern retooling of those textile mills. Created with acrylics, fabrics, fibers, and metal bobbins, the weaving of the fibers represents a mix of old and new fibers, with gold wire to hint at the future.

  • Put the Sun Back
acrylic, hand printed paper, wax medium on wood
    Size: 20 x 20

  • Nature's Little Psychonaut
    Oil on Canvas
    Size: 16 x 20
The ladybug stands still, wrapped in its scarf, watching the world spin in colors and currents. Once it might have raced forward, caught in the rush of living. Now it simply observes. Around it, Amanita muscaria rise like old sentinels, and the sky moves to rhythms that need no chasing. As we age, we come to understand: we do not have to run after every change or fight every wind. There is wisdom in stepping back, in witnessing. Terence McKenna spoke of nature as the great teacher, offering lessons without words. This tiny traveler knows: life’s deepest truths unfold not through struggle, but through stillness. With time, we are invited to become less the actor and more the listener - to watch with open eyes, and let the universe reveal itself in its own time.

  • Evening in Portofino
    Acrylic on Canvas
Size: 20 x 30" My work is about joy. It is about the practice of intentionally noticing and connecting to beauty all around us: a reflection on water, the summer evening light illuminating a sidewalk cafe, or the contrast of whitewashed dwellings with the cobalt blue ocean. I feel a deep and soulful response to this simple kind of beauty. It is profoundly personal. This is not about painting a pretty thing. This is a connection felt in a single glance. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • From Her Hands to Mine
Mixed Media: Acrylic, ink, graphite, thread, and image transfer
Size: 14 x 14 This mixed media work layers acrylic, ink, and graphite to create a soft, organic foundation that gradually builds in depth and texture. Image transfers of traditional Palestinian tatreez embroidery are embedded into the surface, ghost-like imprints that echo ancestral memory. A reinterpretation of the Moon and Stars embroidery motif, machine stitched on water-soluble fabric, leaving behind only thread. Attached onto a ripped layered painting on paper, the embroidery binds the two pieces together, symbolizing the passing down of tradition and the quiet strength of what endures. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Interiors #3
    acrylic on canvas painting
    Size: 24 x 24
INTERIORS is a series of eight paintings of oversized and close up views seen from the heart of one Poinciana tree that grows in my front yard. Viewed from within the tree, intense light pours around petals and leaves, reveals delicate lacey patterns, bulging seedpods, and deeply corroded bark. From this intimate perspective, one discovers compositions abstracted by scale and lack of context, different from the tree we thought we knew, a view more often seen by ants and lizards on the Poinciana highway. The parts and pieces, whether recognizable or not, take on a life of their own and become parts of a complex puzzle. The attraction is not in recognizing a named, beautiful thing, but in opening one’s eyes to the incredible richness of natural images framed for the viewer by the artist. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • pastel on paper
14 x 14" My work captures the subtle lights, reflections and hidden hues on the subjects. I enjoy painting ordinary subjects. These moments are often over-looked by most people passing by. I find it more interesting to bring out the beauty of everyday life than painting something already beatiful. These moments are such as the rainbow light coming through the subway station, or worn stones by the old dock at dusk. The pastel medium allows me to capture moments quickly with bold and pure colors. Timelapse videos of my painting process can be seen on Instagram @fangsullivan.

    oil on panel painting
    Size: 20 x 16
This bridge in Central Park captured my imagination due to its incredible artistry and the wonderful play of light and color on the aging surface. The strong slanting light and elimination of surrounding foliage serve to bring the railing into stark focus and enhance the color.

  • Enchanted Colors #1 Acrylic on Canvas Size of Piece: 20 x 20 "Enchanted Colors," and “Dialogue With Colors-Across The Sphere” emerged from my fascination with the interplay of vibrant hues and organic forms. The inspiration came from moments of reflection on nature's subtle beauty and the emotional resonance colors evoke. My creative process involves layering paint, allowing the colors to blend, interact, and reveal unexpected patterns and textures. I let intuition guide the flow of each brushstroke, embracing spontaneity while balancing structure and abstraction. In this work, I sought to capture a sense of movement and wonder—a visual echo of fleeting memories and emotions. The vibrant pinks, blues, and greens reflect an internal dialogue of joy, introspection, and curiosity. Through this piece, I aim to invite viewers into a world of dynamic Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Hava Mixed Media on Paper Size of Piece: 24 x 18 x .05 As women, we are not simple. We are complex, exquisite beings that hold more potential than ever recognized. For thousands of years, across regions, for the sake of safety, we hid our true nature to accommodate those with made-up power. Now, we are leaping out of our assigned frames and are claiming our own narrative. Equality is a basic human right, a fundamental pillar in establishing a peaceful and prosperous world. While progress happens, there is still a great deal left to do. Girls and women continue to face significant challenges all around the world. Historically, though, women are described as goddesses, spirits, mythical beings from fairytales and scriptures - we are holy and dangerous. We are everything man desires and everything he fears, his source of life and his terror at the thought of death, of loss. All these contradictions stir many questions and emotions, but we learn to find the balance in life. • Outlook Santorini Acrylic on Canvas Size of Piece: 30 x 40 x 1.5 Painting is a meditative journey for me, a way to process loss and transform grief into something vibrant and full of hope. After my brother passed away, I felt an urgent need to create—not just for the sake of making art, but as a way to heal. Through bold colors and expressive brushstrokes, I seek to uplift both myself and those who experience my work, showing that even in darkness, beauty and joy can emerge. In paintings like Outlook Santorini, New Day, and Flower Fields, I abstract natural landscapes to capture their essence and emotion. Outlook Santorini reflects the island’s peaceful vistas, translating its tranquility into layers of color and movement. New Day speaks to renewal and optimism, its light-filled hues evoking the fresh start that comes with dawn. Flower Fields is a celebration of nature’s energy, bursting with expressive colors that mirror the vitality of a landscape in bloom. • Beach No.5 Silkscreen on Paper Size of Piece: 15 x 22

My work investigates resemblance of particular surroundings in connection with site specific placement. What interests me is the interconnection with the landscape and the viewer themselves, impression of their own identity, and peculiar memories in the specific surrounding.

In this particular print series, I worked with the beach scapes of the unforgettable Cape Cod area, often working on location while preparing first drawings and color sketches. By combining layered imagery, working with a dramatic contrast and values, along with the innovative methods of digital print and halftone, I was able to investigate the ability to recall certain memories, good and bad that often stopped a viewer in their tracks, and let them escape to the unknown while at the ocean side.
