  • Enchanted Forest
    Traditional pastel on "pastel" paper
Size: 11 x 15" Northern Michigan forest entry on a beautiful summer day. I love the freedom of pastel, its drawing and layering capabilities. This piece showcases using values without regard to local color. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Chaos
gold mica print on archival pigment print
Size: 15.5 x 15.5" Lush gardens, majestic landscapes, and serene seascapes have always been a source of inspiration in my image making. Combining traditional photography methods with contemporary techniques enables me to record and reinterpret the worls around me. I work on an intuitive level without a predetermined image in mind, and consider an image successful when it is transformed beyond the reality of the camera into a personal connection with nature. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Midsummer Joy
    Acrylic Painting
Size: 20 x 16" In this painting, I strive to capture the essence of Midsummer—an ancient celebration of light, life, and love. Midsummer is a time of transformation, where the earth is at its most abundant and the spirit is free. I seek to embody the enduring power of femininity, with movements that echo generations of joy, resilience, and deep connection to nature. This work is an ode to the strength of women, the beauty of shared celebration, and the joy of existing in harmony with the world. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Morning View at Casa Na Ilha, Ilhabela, Brazil
Gouache, pastel, and watercolor on board
Size: 9 x 12" I created this work during an artist residency this year in Ilhabela, Brazil. This was the view from the terrace outside of my bedroom. It was so spectacularly beautiful! I felt inspired to capture the colors, light, and quality of this serene view. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Aftermath of Denial: Climate change does exist
    Alcohol ink on Canvas
Size: 12 x 9" Aftermath of Denial: Climate Change Does Exist This painting is dedicated to shedding light on the worldwide climate situation. In particular, the fires that have devastated forests and the habitat that forests provide. Unfortunately, alternate facts and complete denial of climate change is taking this planet and humanity down a path of destruction that sooner or later can not be reversed. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Tree of Life
    Sculpture: Vitreous Enamel on Copper
Size: 30 x 20 x 3" The deep mysterious source of life is expressed in the hardness of steel while the surfaces of enameled birds and leaves play with the light and shadow. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Spring Fling
Encaustic on cradled panel with embedded collage
Size: 24 x 24" This work joins a series of encaustic works musing on the meaning of “security”. I use the interior patterns of security envelopes—used to protect our financial information—in hexagonal shapes that suggest traditional quilts—maybe security blankets. This work includes the use of India ink. Now that our assumptions about Social Security are being tested it seems appropriate to think of this work as “Spring Fling” —the double meaning of having security flung to the winds in an ortherwise heady season. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Rock Pool
    Oil on Brushed Aluminum
Size: 16 x 24" I painted "Rock Pool" on site at Acadia National Park. My inspiration was the action of the water as it approaches rocky ledges. I also wanted to use the reflectiveness of the aluminum by leaving small amounts of metal unpainted. I used the colors that are typical of that geographical area- Maine. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Hover Craft
Pencil on Bristol Board mounted on Cradle Board
Size: 10 x 10" Hover Craft, part of my "Boat Icon" Series, is a small colored pencil drawing on Bristol Board mounted on cradle board. A boat moves within a dry, barren space. Inner origami-like panels unfold revealing a spinal column with radiating branches. Clouds float throughout. To me the “boat” icon represents freedom, the soul, an individual’s journey of self-discovery, our relationship to nature, the human vessel, security, exploration, and transformation. Living on the Indian River in Florida with the Space Program forty-five miles away, an inverted boat also represents a rocket and all its associations. I use an aerial view of a row-boat because it has a bound human form allowing me to play with its inner and outer spaces and meanings. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Purple Persuasion
    Photography: Digitally Manipulated
Size: 8 x 8" I always like to think and create out of the box. When I photographed this flower, an Agapanthas, I knew that I didn't want an ordinary documentary image of the flower but wanted it to explode out with color and movement. I was able to do this using my computer . I achieved my goal perfectly. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • World's Greatest Bar Chart
    digital painting fabricated to pigment-on-paper
Size: 20 x 28" I created this work while working in the halls of capitalism at the World Trade Center in the 90s developing some of the first new media divisions for top corporations like Deloitte and WSJ.com. Its' multi-layered imagery can be further explored as an audio visual experience on the web: https://worldsgreatestbarchart.com/ Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Through a Glass Window
Encaustic with toner transfer on cradled board
Size: 14 x 18" I am drawn to the energy of the city, not just from the people but from the buildings as well. Manhattan is comprised of many windows, this is but another one looking through the myriad layers the city is comprised of. This encaustic incorporates multiple layers of wax, with toner transfers, to create depth. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Bee Balm in Vase
    Pastel on black Arches paper
Size: 14 x 11" Bee Balm in Vase explores the intersection of organic form and underlying structure. This pastel piece centers on the vibrant, architectural blooms of the bee balm plant, arranged in a simple vase to highlight their natural elegance. Beneath the surface, incised geometric patterns subtly emerge from the background, providing a quiet tension between order and spontaneity. These shapes were etched into the paper before any pigment was applied, allowing them to interact with the soft texture of the pastel in a uniquely tactile way. The work is executed exclusively with Rembrandt pastels, chosen for their rich pigmentation and ability to capture nuanced shifts in color and light. The result is a still life that invites the viewer to look beyond the surface and consider the harmony between nature and design. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Whispered Choices
    Fused Glass Collage
Size: 4 x 6" Although I am typically known as a paper collage painter, this piece is a fused glass collage painting. I incorporated much of the same aesthetic of layering paper but instead layered melted glass. This piece "whispered" its existence to me while I was making it...thus the title: Whispered Choices. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Have a Seat
Acrylic paint marker and ink wash on panel
Size: 12 x 12" Have a Seat is part of my FLORA series, an exploration and celebration of plants growing in the state of Rhode Island. These paintings were created using acrylic paint marker and ink wash on wood panel. I started this one in a greenhouse at one of my favorite places: Ragged Island Brewing Co. I spent a few hours on site composing, blocking in shapes, choosing base colors, and getting the perspective correct. I then took it into my studio, where the story in the painting revealed itself and I made decisions about what’s in / what’s out. I returned to the greenhouse to complete the piece a few days later. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Once Deeply Rooted, Now Untethered
Acrylic, Charcoal, Graphite on Stretched Canvas
Size: 48 x 48" 'Once Deeply Rooted, Now Barely Tethered' was inspired by the impermanence and mystery of the natural world. It began as darkness in the middle of the canvas and grew organically from there. A quality of wildness, much like the energy of deep interior woods, infused the painting process. As the plant matter seems to rise in ascent, all things are in flux, even the laws of gravity Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Underwater Sunshine
    Acrylic on Canvas
Size: 28 x 22" Images based on the play of light and water have always been an inspiration. This painting depicts how the color of water interacts with objects below the surface to create a beautiful illusion. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Weight of Letting Go
Watercolor, Acrylic and Metallic Paint on Paper
Size: 9 x 12.5" The Weight of Letting Go was born from a moment of deep introspection—a meditation on loss, transformation, and the quiet courage required to release what once defined us. I was inspired by the emotional complexity of letting go: the sorrow, the emptiness, and the freedom that can follow. The figure sits at the edge of a vast, silent landscape, her wings severed and placed behind. To me, the wings represent the identities, roles, and dreams we sometimes have to surrender—whether by choice or circumstance. The nudity is symbolic of vulnerability and the rawness of that experience. I chose watercolor for its fluidity and softness, which allowed me to express the delicate balance between heaviness and light, control and release. This piece is not just about loss—it's about the in-between. The space after something ends, but before something new begins. That liminal place where we sit, breathe, and eventually, rise. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Join the Chaos!
    Oil on Canvas Painting
Size: 24 x 12" Nature has always inspired me and provided stability. This painting is about my fear for its safety as human arrogance and greed take over. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Portrait of Bishop Budde
    Oil on Canvas Painting
Size: 30 x 20" Portrait of Bishop Budde looks at the Episcopal Bishop of Washington DC as she delivers her sermon to Donald Trump during an inaugural prayer service. This work is the first in a new series Fck Fascism that depicts people who challenge fascism. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Interim
    sculpture: marble on alabaster
Size: 9.25 x 10.5 x 7.5" I create expressive sculptures from natural materials, bringing them to life through organic forms that move through space. Interim is a stone composition featuring smooth marble resting atop a rough piece of alabaster, exploring the contrast between textures and the tension inherent in a moment of pause before action. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Off the Beaten Path
    Oil on Canvas Painting
Size: 24 x 18" In my travels through Italy, I always looked for interesting subjects, with good shadows and light. I discovered that I love landscapes, color, the color of shadows, and travel. I use my photos for inspiration to begin my painting, changing or omitting objects in the photo. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Dancing to the Beat of His Own Drum
    Oil on Canvas Painting
Size: 11.5 x 14" As I was passing through Marion Square Park at the center of downtown Charleston one Saturday morning, I stopped to watch the street performers do their thing in front of the tourists. I could not take my eyes from this particular guy, who was accompanying himself on this drum while he danced, twirled, flipped and cartwheeled, never missing a beat. I was puzzled about how to convey his movement, energy and passion in a two-dimensional painting. One image wouldn’t do it, so this experimental mélange of three poses is where I ended up. Later, when I stopped by the park to tell him that he had inspired my painting. I interrupted his dance with some trepidation, not knowing what to expect. To my surprise, he threw his arms around my neck in jubilation and danced away! Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Under the Umbrella
Ink, Gouache & CP on Paper w/Lowy Frame
Size: 13.5 x 15" In Under the Umbrella, a crowned man and woman stand beneath an American flag, completely oblivious to the chaos below. Stained hands claw at her, a neon pink vital sign flickers beneath them, but neither seem concerned. Handcuffed together, she extends a green heart—her life force—while he lazily swipes at it with one hand, too distracted to care. Her face is being sawed, a nod to self-reinvention and erasure, while her leg fuses into a television, the ultimate surrender to media control. She wears fishnets, playing the role expected of her, while he drifts around in his power polka dot boxers, blissfully clueless. His foot dangles over an erupting volcano, but he’s too indifferent to notice destruction. Despite the comic absurdity, they remain under the umbrella —wrapped in privilege and illusion, perfectly safe… until the ground disappears beneath them. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • She's Falling Apart
    Acrylic and Metallic on Canvas
Size: 30 x 30" Only those who fall apart are ever able to find themselves whole. When we recognize that struggling is strengthening, we can approach the challenging times with hope and optimism. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Waiting
    Oil on Canvas Panel
Size: 24 x 18" I love crafting scenes that invite the viewer to become a storyteller. In this painting, we see two women sitting on a simple bench. What are they waiting for a friend, a lover, or a long-lost relative? Are they spending a quiet sunny day in thenpark, or is this a bustling bus stop humming with city life? Do they know each other? The beauty lies in the unanswered questions: Are they strangers sharing a silent moment, or old friends with a lifetime of secrets between them? I love leaving these threads untied, encouraging viewers to spin their own tales and breathe life into the scene, making each interpretation unique and personal. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Musee d'Orsay
    Gold Leaf Gilded Photograph
Size: 4 x 4" The vintage look of the d'Orsay Train Station converted to the Musee d'Orsay in Paris inspired the gold leaf vintage treatment of the image. The image is printed on translucent vellum and gilded with 24kt gold leaf. Varnish adds an additional finish to create transparency to the piece as well as protection from the environment. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Spiritus (An Homage to Dr. FJ Flynn)
Medical scan, stone skull in vitrine
Size: 29 x 18 x 6" This work serves to illustrate the vital breath itself. An acknowledgment of the complex mechanics that remain active inside of our bodies, maintaining our functioning of life. A object which reminds us of life while honoring the impermanency of the living. Made as an homage to the significance of my father's work and life. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • When Only the Charred Remain #3
    oil, seed beads on canvas
Size: 24 x 12" When Only The Charred Remain is a contemplation on the space that remains after living ends. Flynn is exploring the notion that one's understanding of death is the empty space left. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Only Time for a Glance
    collage on canvas
Size: 30 x 30" I was left with a lasting impression after a trip to South Africa, Botswana & Zambia that led me to create art work reminiscent of that geography. Echoes of another time & place are part of my interior world & motivate me to use collage..texture & paint to capture those memories. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • The Female Lifecycle

  • Striped Lily
Monoprint Dry Point printed on Hahnemuhle paper
Size: 17.5 x 13.5" My work includes many genres of printmaking. Recently I have rediscovered Dry Point. Although I tend use color mostly in my monoprints I enjoy working in black and white. I love experimenting with the tones can achieve. I don't look at the subject as flowers, but shapes to explore line, texture and shadows. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Women in the Sticks
    carved cedar with branches
Size: 36 x 50 x 6.25 I work both 2 and 3 dimensionally and always with the female figure often layering the form with marks or in this case branches. These two figures represent my love of ancient forms, natural environments and are to allude to the spirits I encounter in the woods. Lastly, as a child I lived in a rural place, which my friends all called “the sticks” so I have come back full circle to my origins. The figures are carved cedar 5 x 5 x 36 inches and the branches reach and shroud and surround them. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Confidence
    Oil on canvas painting
Size: 12 x 24 This is part of a series dedicated to children. I am fascinated by the directness, boldness, spontaneity and curiosity in their young lives. Often as adults we lose these qualities. That is why childhood is so precious. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Cherry Tree
    Acrylic on Canvas
Size: 20 x 16 "How many, many things They call to mind These cherry-blossoms!" -Basho Each year, their beauty takes me by surprise — a forgotten dream in hues too vivid for memory. From city parks to the suburban sprawl, cherry trees flare to life, stitching color into the gray, a brief, breathless festival of light, restoring wonder to a weary world. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Moroccan mystique
Batik on silk, mounted on canvas

  • Until Then
Acrylic on canvas with wood frame element
Size: 12 x 15 "Until Then" focuses on my perception of the unfathomable changes in landscapes that were manufactured by human activity that has had significant, global impact on the planet's ecosystems and climate. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Epiphytes 11
    Sculpture: Wool Roving Thread
Size: 25 x 6 x 4 My art is inspired by the natural world and considers the underlying impacts of human intervention, climate change, and the lessons learned from nature. “Epiphytes 11” is part of a series of wet felted wool 3-D sculptures inspired by plants that host other living plants on their surfaces. The host provides space but not nourishment; the epiphytes are not parasitic and do no harm to their hosts. The examples of symbiotic relationships that nature showcases should be a blue print for humans to strive to achieve a balance that safeguards the earth, our host. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • La Strada
    Watercolor Painting
Size: 56 x 51   Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Reaching for Resilience
    Oil and Acrylic on Canvas
Size: 29.6 x 19.6 We are constantly going through transitions, reacting to changing social and personal situations. Fluid washes refer to that movement. Layered transparency in my work suggests elements in our surroundings being in flux, coming in and out of focus as we pull for inspiration. This painting portrays a sensitive strength I witnessed in this model's expression, as well as ginkgo leaves swirling in the atmosphere since they are symbolic of resilience. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Salvaged Respite
    Salvaged Wood, Metal
Size: 16 x 7 Like so many, I currently find myself unmoored, living in a world I recognize less and less each day. I oscillate between feeling called to stand up, and speak up, for humanity, and seeking shelter from all the noise. While I have always been drawn to the understated, underappreciated, underutilized elements I stumble upon, I find myself now, more than ever, leaning hard on these castaways, looking for some semblance of comfort in their quiet simplicity. What has been, in the past, a playful interaction between materials feels like something different, something more somber and muted. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Be A Rebel
    Acrylic on Canvas
Size: 30 x 30 I paint because I bleed Alizarin Crimson. As a small child I painted a yellow sun into a blue sky and CREATED GREEN! I remain awe-struck at this  always-new discovery of color creation and juxtaposition. My process is "reduction"; painting till the canvas is over-full of movement and connections then obliterating that world-chaos until the becomes a complete and orderly composition. As I would love the world to be; composed, organized. I am excited by the evolution of shapes and the discovery of how movement impacts each of these shapes to become cohesive. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Her Hands Were Watching Me (From the Into the Woods series)
Acrylic/ Mixed Media on cradled panel
Size: 24 x 18 ‘Her Hands Were Watching Me’ belongs to the Into The Woods Series that depicts human connections during different phases of life. In this painting I aim to convey a sense of mystery along with emotion. I wanted to invite the viewer to examine and feel the conflict of connection, identity, and interaction. All the while knowing, actually hoping, that they will interpret the scene through their own perspectives. To me, this is the real connection to my artwork. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Poetry
    Oil on Canvas Painting
Size: 28 x 22 Walking in New Orleans, I was delighted to see poets busking, the way musicians do. People lined up to buy their poems, written for them on the spot. The poem I received was a beautiful reflection on the subject of daughters. I was inspired to make this painting in tribute to the work of poets. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • No! Your Rights!
Acrylic, Watercolor, & Ink on Canvas
Size: 10 x 10 Mexican-American badass Yovita Idar knew when to say, “NO!”. This piece is intentionally created with several types of media in layers. Her biography is placed on the sides of the canvas, allowing the viewer to see events in her life that took place on both sides of the U.S. border with Mexico. A faint border line meanders on top with stars indicating cities for geolocation. This piece celebrates the incredible spirit of this distinctive woman who knew her rights and spent her life advocating for others. “No! Your Rights!” is designed with the hope that it will be placed where a spirited child will look into the eyes of this fiery soul and be reminded with confidence that they are on the right track. Yovita was a journalist, activist, suffragist, and the kind of leader we can all aspire to be. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Banding Together
    Oil on Canvas Painting
Size: 20 x 20 Bringing awareness to endangered and threatened species is very important to me. I’m continually striving to bring elements together that invoke a sense of thoughtfulness towards nature and how we affect it. The bird, the Piping Plover, is on both the threatened and endangered species list in many states, including New York. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Shedding Birch Bark
    Photography: Digitally Enhanced
Size: 14 x 11 In the spring when trees are in bloom all around our home, I am always intrigued by watching their leaves and flowers grow. In an area near our house we have White Birch trees, and the shedding of the bark has always fascinated me. It reminds me of snakes shedding their skin. Ths process for birch trees is a natural process as the trunk expands and makes way for new growth. The colors and shapes of the shedding bark are so colorful amd interesting. Another mystery of Mother Nature. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
  • Wake Up!
    Acrylic with collage on canvas
Size: 14 x 18 The piece began as a comment about hearing, as I have just begun using hearing aids. It developed into a message about communication. I see a woman imparting important information to someone who needs to be woken up. She may be relaying a personal message or one that relates to today's social climate. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
