  • soft pastel on sanded paper 25 x 18" I love capturing the essence of life with my art. I have a unique approach to colors. I paint with rich and pure pigments, often without mixing. My work depicts the subtle lights, reflections and hidden hues on the subjects. Every artwork I create is inspired from life through an imaginative approach. My preferred mediums is soft pastel. I was attracted to the colorful outfit of model in this painting. Her calmness and the bright colors created an interesting contrast, as if she was mesmorized in thoughts. My goal was to capture the essence of this moment.

  • pastel on paper 11 x 11" I love capturing the essence of life with my art. Using distinctive coloring technique and imaginative approach, I depict the subtle lights, reflections and hidden hues on the subjects. The subjects are either close to my heart, telling a story, or from a memorable moment. Storm tree is based on my travels to the Irish countryside. I saw this tree wrapped by another. The tree branches are completely intertwined and formed this dreamlike shape, almost look like they are moving in a storm.

Kepaniwai Heritage Park is a garden paradise nestled between gentle mountains on the island of Maui. Pavilions in the park are there to honor the various ethnic groups that helped settle Hawai'i. In this painting, I capture the moist atmosphere that hovers over lush and colorful foliage. The bridge represents a very small human element that exists along side of nature.

  • oil on canvas 48 x 32 x 1.33" Tree of Life in Winter represents a dormant stage in the diagrammatic Tree of Life, depicting areas in Scripture called Sephirot. In the snow on the branches are etched very small letters indicting the 10 Sephirot starting with "Malkuth," the Kingdom.,through "Tipareth," Beauty, to "Binah," Understanding and "Chokmah," Wisdom all the way up to "Kether," the Crown; The Light shines through the branches lighting the way to the Spring thaw when the elements are again visibly activated and spiritual growth continues to enrich and balance life and the Universe. • oil on canvas 48 x 36 x 1.3" My abstract work reflects personal experiences depicted without naturalistic objects. After painting a series of highly-structured, static, mostly gray compositions, I created "Breach" in a series called "Chaos." My world had gone from inertia to movement and color and disorder. "Breach" shows water breaking through rocks surrounded by coral and other sea life in an underwater scene. Though there is destruction and chaos, there is also beauty and joyousness.

  • Guardian III Sculpture Size of Piece: 11 x 8 x 5 Inspiration surrounds us, and I am no exception. Nature is the most powerful force behind my work for many reasons. The materials I use are natural elements harvested from my daily life—transformed and given a second life through recycling, honoring the Earth in the process. Women are another deep source of inspiration. I am continually moved by my sisters—their strength, resilience, and the gifts they bring to the world. We have fought countless battles to claim our space, and we continue to fight as we challenge the patriarchy and defend our rights. My *Earth Guardians* embody this spirit—they are protectors of the planet, the essence of Mother Nature herself. • Guardian XVI Mixed Media: paper, porcelain & crystal Size: 11 x 9.5 My tiny Earth Guardians are waste-safe vessels designed to keep plastic and other waste out of landfills. What began as a whimsical solution to weigh down my sculptures has evolved into a meaningful purpose: creating vessels to contain non-perishable waste—plastic, glass, metal, and other scraps—that enters my home. This ensures these materials are repurposed rather than discarded. Through my work, I aim to recycle and play a small role in managing waste responsibly. I also collect materials from my community, transforming what others discard into art. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

  • recycled paper 19 x 9 x 9" I am inspired by organic shapes found in nature, and the structures I create are made with organic materials, paper & wood, they more or less dictate the shapes I decide to build around, which in turn become organic looking. I create coral pieces because I was always drawn to the ocean and loved snorkeling. Neither the use of paper, nor the love of nature and the ocean are unique in any way, I am but one artist in a million inspired by nature, I have a bit less competition with the material chosen; paper. What sets me apart in my work is my ability to manipulate it in the way I do.

  • Painting 32 x 25 in. Usually, one idea follows another.  I have several themes that I go between, but I find, each seems to dovetail into the other to eventually build a cohesive collection. This is not planned, and I speak retrospectively. Also, the palette seems to be consistent. Maybe this is true as a result of years of work.  Nonetheless, there seems to be so much more to do and so many ideas not yet realized. I suppose it's never ending. • oil on canvas 6 x 10 x 2" My inspiration for this recent piece, is my continued love of the 'Casa Colonica' in Italy. These farmhouses represent a rural life of an epoch gone by, which I find fascinating. By painting their portrait so to speak, I feel I am giving them a renewed voice and acknowledgement. I feel a connection to these massive structures. This particular view in the dark of night has a comforting feeling yet a loneliness standing in the shadows with only a half light from the moon illuminating. The stone wall in the foreground creates a presence of its own, inviting the viewer to proceed forward or warning to stay and watch from afar. Moonlight Moon is the beginning of my 'Italian Night Series.'

  • mixed media acrylic on collage of recycled materials on canvas 24 x 24 x 2" I believe that in a world overwhelmed by waste, it’s important to give discarded objects a new purpose and highlight their hidden potential. Each portrait I create tells a unique story and represents the indescribable complexity of the female experience. Because they are painted in acrylic on a textured collage the structure of the background shines through the painted image, marking the female bodies with roughness and imperfection in the manner of passing life that is imprinted in the flesh. These portraits are a testament to the strength, resilience and beauty that women possess, breaking through societal norms and stereotypes.   Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between artist and buyer after the purchase.

  • fine pencil drawing and watercolor on Arches Watercolor paper 12 x 18 x 1" Drawing and painting watercolors is something I have loved to do. As an artist, I work hard to develop paintings that speak both to me and to others. Making art creates an opportunity evoke emotions and feelings and to transport the viewer to another “place”. The word Matrix in its archaic form means mother and is associated with origins of life. Made of over 36 4”x4” squares, some with strong visual bonds and some with no visual bonds, the meaning and strength of the individual pieces comes from their relationships to each other. We can each be unique individuals with depth and complexity, but when we form a common bond or have a common need, our uniqueness forms a collective. A perfect metaphor for humanity.

  • mixed media including thread, various papers, linen, gold leaf, paint, pencils & pens 56 x 48" Petroglyphs, architecture, graffiti, scrolls, codices – examples of our collective human urge to leave an imprint, tell a story, mark our time. These relics are a historical record with a tenacious existence. Think the caves of Lascaux, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the tagged surfaces of train cars. My work speaks to this human urge for mark leaving, referring to an enduring historical record while simultaneously becoming a part of it. Drawing on ideas of the intersection between written language and spirituality, this piece is constructed, deconstructed and reassembled into an intimate and ephemeral account of our shared history, our difficult present and our uncertain future.

  • printmaking 8 x 10" I’m a self-taught abstract artist focusing on printmaking and encaustic painting. I don’t draw. I use color, shape, and composition to create images that please my eye. I’m a monotype maker. I love the immediacy of its painterly process. I place ink on plexiglass, using brayers and brushes. I might add stencils, plastic netting, or pieces of paper, glued down. I use whatever seems to fit, determined by the creative process itself. I am unsure why I do what I do. I just do it. I carefully lay the work down on the press bed, hoping I don’t get too much ink on my hands. Desperately trying to keep the water-soaked paper clean of ink, I lay it over the plate, crossing my fingers that it’s square over the plate. I crank the handle, pulling the rollers over the assembled work. I’ve lost control as the bed slides under the rollers, creating something beyond what I’ve organized. The work itself is now in control of the final piece. I attempt make art through the power, gifts, and talents that God has given me. I yearn to be faithful to the inner me, the person who feels more comfortable creating than doing anything else in this world.   Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between artist and buyer after the purchase.

My series of "adobe" images uses commonly found objects (scraps of paper, pieces of fabric, nets from vegetable bags) to create images of beauty.  My colors are reminiscent of trips to the western United States, reminding me of days spent in the beautiful images that can be found around us each and every day.  I work in the abstract to invite the viewer to use their imagination to enter into my world, and participate in the beauty that I hope to capture.  My goal is to reflect the joy and peace that I find in creativity.   Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between artist and buyer after the purchase.

  • Chacun sa route, chacun son chemin. / Each their own road, each their own path. Steel & Aluminum Size of Piece: 26 x 13 x 1.5 This wall sculpture explores the different paths we take through life's journey. Using metal elements, I've created a visual dialogue between two contrasting approaches: a zigzagging line representing the winding, exploratory route and a direct line with a parallel ladder symbolizing straightforward progression. Two movable characters inhabit this symbolic landscape. One figure, creative in appearance yet structurally aligned, can only navigate the zigzag path. The other, hanging playfully by one arm in an adventurous pose, is restricted to the straight line and ladder. Though these characters travel differently—one meandering through creative exploration, the other taking direct risks—they ultimately move between the same points. This represents life's paradox: there is no single correct way to journey from beginning to end. Some of us zigzag through experiences, while others climb directly toward goals, yet we all progress through life in our authentic way. The title is borrowed from a well-known French reggae song by Tonton David. Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.

I create sensitive and organic sculptures to share my insights about life. Through this sculpture, I intend to celebrate the strength and elegance of modern women while acknowledging societal patterns. • Resin and Steel 49 x 16 x 6"
My work is mainly figurative or semi-figurative. I use positions and body lines in my sculptures to share my emotions and my understandings about life. Steel is a very interesting material, I like bending and rounding rods using my strength only (no heat, no hammer !). Let your eyes follow the lines of this positive spiral, and feel what part of your journey relates to this. The figurative character suspended gives you a key to relate. Concentration like an internal introspection before jumping in projects, social life, new steps, this is up to you. But definitely my work intend to highlight the fact that we should concentrate on ourself before engaging with the world.

  • steel 29 x 29 x 1" This wall-hanging sculpture is part of my new « Labyrinth series ». I played with flat bars in steel, drawing lines like labyrinths which speak about our internal human journey. In the process of shaping them, I loved using my strength only (no heat, no hammer). The lines are amplified by the play of light casting shadows on the wall and Her Way  is an interactive sculpture, the viewer has the liberty to move all the characters within the labyrinth. Let your eyes follow the lines, and feel what narrative resonates the most for you.

  • Frolic 2 Mixed Media Size: 6 x 6 Framed Size: 12 x 12 This group of woven mixed media works employs photography as a base to evoke the passage of time and obfuscation of memories through the use of weaving techniques. In order to do this, I must first deconstruct the photograph by cutting it into thin strips to create a new work. Weaving creates patterns on the surface and below the surface. I use pattern to evoke memory and I want the viewer to connect with their own personal histories and intuition. The subjects that I work with come from a personal collection of photographs of family, anonymous subjects and images of famous artists and writers. All are chosen based on either my connection with the subject on a personal level or from having an emotional response to the photograph. Often the vintage-looking subjects and the intricacy of weaving create a very tactile effect that both abstracts and restores attributes of the original image while referencing the idea of “women’s work," a subject that is close to home.
