My current work is a documentary self-portrait as I go through pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and postpartum. My sculptures, paintings and prints are a direct cry of motherhood pride and fragility. The work’s material properties: fragility, transparency, sturdiness, address the daily balance between vulnerability and stoicism. The work addresses the taboo topics of motherhood and challenges societal perceptions, advocating for the rights and lived experiences of mothers.
