Sunlit Reverie
acrylic on illustration board
18 x 23
Sunlit Reverie features the Charles Engelhard Courtyard at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It is one of my favorite spots to pause in after visiting some of the galleries. The courtyard is a skylit sculpture filled space that one can wander through or just sit in and take in the mise-en-scene.
Sunlit Reverie is also an exploration of how light defines perceptions of a physical space and the objects in it.: The limitations and illusory aspect of perception has always intrigued me; specifically, the ambiguity of light and shadow, and how it determines how we see colors, values and forms.
Additional shipping/delivery charges will be handled between the artist and buyer after the purchase.
