I am quite taken by trees in nature. I live in Maine for most of the seasons and am always finding new excitement in paintingmy surroundings. Birch trees are my laborite because they have fascinating patterns in the bark and branches. My career as a textile designer has influenced how I see the patterns. My other strength is color. I am experimenting in values rather than chroma and find it has made my art more exciting.
