As a painter and printmaker, I create layered mixed media paintings exploring memories and dreams. I have been inspired by nature from a young age and that influence colors my work with optimism, mood and color. I reconstruct the textures that feel familiar and insert them into each piece.
I believe art is therapy, for myself and my viewers. My heart sings when someone connects with the emotions and thoughts that poured into my work.
I use a combination of acrylic paint, gold leaf, handmade paper, thin pressed metal and fabric as compositional elements in my work. The use of symbolic imagery such as trees, animals, florals and birds, invites my viewers to reflect on the harmonious elements in nature that promote our interconnection.
