Her Landscape of Life: She Persists is a tribute to the enduring strength of women who refuse to give up when facing life’s chaos and challenges. The linear elements running throughout the canvas map out a landscape of ups and downs—the inevitable struggles we all experience over time. Across the subject’s face and body, small areas of paint have been scraped away. These textures represent scars from battles won, physical markers of survival and resilience. Inspired by my own ancestors, this piece honors the legacy of determination, grit, and unbreakable spirit passed down through generations of women.
