Never having attempted the mentally challenging process of a reduction print, I wanted to try one. It requires planning ahead to layer the ink colors as one continues to cut the block, while making a limited edition after which one cannot go back and make any additional changes or repeat the process. Granny Smiths are my favorite apples, and happened to work with this roughly cut and printed, simple still life.
