“Gaia” is my love letter to the living Earth and the profound realization that she sees through us as much as we see her. While painting this piece, I became obsessed with the idea that the planet is not merely a backdrop for our lives but a conscious, breathing presence. Within the iris, rich forests unfold, rivers bend through the landscape, and butterflies and birds swirl like living thoughts and experiences. The waterfall spilling gently from her lower lid represents the constant flow of life and emotion I feel when immersed in nature—overwhelming, cleansing, and deeply connective. This painting grew from quiet moments when I felt both small and intimately linked to nature around me, as if the Earth were inviting me to remember that my own awareness is part of her vast, ancient presence.
