The Reality Today:
- Women artists are still significantly underrepresented in major museums, galleries, and collections worldwide.
- Despite women earning more than half of the MFAs granted in the United States, only 13% of art on display in major U.S. museums is by women artists
- Even more telling, while 51% of today’s working visual artists are women, they represent only 14% of exhibitions at leading art institutions.
