I have always been fascinated with texture. What a pleasurable challenge to create impressions of the different types of leather: rough, smooth and in-between… all while playing with light!
The small bag was made by a good friend; the tiny strap-pouch and leather jerkin were made by my husband. Both men were superb craftsmen, and I wanted to replicate their fine work in this piece. It’s a way of showing just what is possible with pencil.
