I like to capture the fast-paced dynamics of New York City street life. What is exciting and energizes me is how spontaneous the process is, and unpredictable people are. Some are completely unaware of being photographed, some may see me and pose and wave, others may be hostile to what they consider an intrusion. On occasion, I may stop and ask someone if they would let me take their photo. I look for places with interesting forms, light, and street geometry for a good background to the people I photograph. What attracts me to photograph someone may be an expression, an action, details, colors or reflections.
