In the spring when trees are in bloom all around our home, I am always intrigued by watching their leaves and flowers grow. In an area near our house we have White Birch trees, and the shedding of the bark has always fascinated me. It reminds me of snakes shedding their skin. Ths process for birch trees is a natural process as the trunk expands and makes way for new growth. The colors and shapes of the shedding bark are so colorful amd interesting. Another mystery of Mother Nature.
