This mixed media work layers acrylic, ink, and graphite to create a soft, organic foundation that gradually builds in depth and texture. Image transfers of traditional Palestinian tatreez embroidery are embedded into the surface, ghost-like imprints that echo ancestral memory. A reinterpretation of the Moon and Stars embroidery motif, machine stitched on water-soluble fabric, leaving behind only thread. Attached onto a ripped layered painting on paper, the embroidery binds the two pieces together, symbolizing the passing down of tradition and the quiet strength of what endures.
