Winter is one of my favorite times to paint. I love the quiet and cold–an utter slow-down to embrace the concept of stillness. These three paintings each depict the magic of that stillness–one, a frozen afternoon scene of the hunt, and two other two, dramatic glimpses of how the darkness illuminates the holiday lights like stars.
