This painting is inspired by my walks with my dog Bodhi. He’s a spirited energetic animal so it was a rare opportunity to catch him in a contemplative moment In this painting, I feel that Bodhi is enjoying nature in a similar way to me, but with different sensations, including his exquisite sense of smell, and touch. The painting reflects my sense that as humans, we are part of nature, and having an experience with a different species can enhance our appreciation of the world around us.
