Night Cover is from a body of work that is considering barriers. I am using stone walls as a metaphor for exclusion and inclusion. I ask the viewer to consider where one is positioned in relation to the wall -is one included or is one excluded? The painting is oil on canvas with the seed beads hand laid around the image. The beads are in the background but they come forward creating a visual tension-a tension that is reflected in the notion of walls/barriers.
