Chromosomal Handbag was inspired by my background working in a biology laboratory and my desire to integrate science and art. In this piece the form is a handbag and the images are the chromosomes that we carry in ourselves.It references the fact that we can create our own image of ourselves but ultimately we carry our own genes.
