Primeval Caprice is a conceptual abstract interpreting the both the repetitive, predictable patterning and surprising randomness of our biological world. As there will always be more to learn about the unseen that makes up everything, this work seeks to engage in a playful conversation with surprises that will reveal themselves in time. Recognizing that we are all “made up of the same stuff,” my hope is that the visual connection viewers may make with the piece will plant the seeds for this awareness in other aspects of our lives, especially those that seek to sow division.
