I am a painter and sculptor. Materials and techniques are selected so I can invent unique images and narratives from my imagination. I employ concepts from abstraction, cubism, and surrealism to interpret the elusive qualities of time, energy, and storytelling. Primary and contrasting colors, moving lines, and overlapping shapes produce dynamic patterns and intricate designs. The natural gourd is prepared like a canvas. Opaque acrylic matte and gouache paint are rendered on the third dimensional surface creating a continuous painting involving the owner in selecting views.
